Big Lots Friends & Family Event Reminder (and Haul Pics!)

Before I show you my latest Big Lots haul, I want to make sure you know that there's another Friends & Family Event happening this weekend! If you didn't get the email from Big Lots, here are the details:

• Saturday 10/4: all Big Lots Buzz Club Members receive 20% off storewide from 2PM - close with Rewards Card at checkout. If you are not already a Buzz Club member, you can sign up here for free or you can sign up in-store.

• Sunday, 10/5: all shoppers receive 20% off storewide all day long with THIS COUPON. Note: You do not need to print out that coupon if you have a smart phone. Spotted at Big Lots: Sephora X Nail Colors (and more)

Some exciting news today for my fellow Big Lots shoppers! Before I get to the sightings/haul, I want to mention that Big Lots posted this coupon for college students only to save $10 off any $50 purchase, valid today only (8/16). Sorry for the late notice, but I just heard about it when I saw it mentioned on Big Lots' Instagram page today, so I thought I'd share!

Sephora X Nail Colors at Big Lots

(Big Lots price: $2.50 each, 0.33 oz)

This makes perfect sense to me, since we all know that Big Lots also sold Sephora by OPI polishes (click here to see the Sephora by OPI polishes that I received directly from Big Lots). These Sephora X polishes are in the old-style bottles from circa 2012 (proof) and I think that some of the shades above were from their 2012 The Cosmics collection. Exciting, right?

I'm asking my contact at Big Lots for more info on how widespread this may be and I'll get back to you if/when I get more info. Hopefully this will be like the Sephora by OPI polishes and you'll be able to find these nationwide at all Big Lots locations!

I've blogged in the past about how AcneFree products have been showing up at Dollar Tree (face washes, scrubs and pads) but this is the first time I've seen a KIT. This exact kit currently retails for $25.46 at drugstore.com. Wow!

NEW Epielle Aqua Tinted BB Cream SPF20 ($2.80 at Big Lots)

If you're new to this blog, you may not be aware of my longtime love for Epielle makeup towelettes. You can find Epielle towelettes at Big Lots and various other discount stores in packets of 30 for $1 and packets of 60 for $1.99 and they come in a variety of different formulas (I love them all!). For me, they're the best and most economical makeup towelettes I've ever used and they're actually a holy grail product for me.

Over the years, Epielle has branched out into other products (face masks, pore strips, etc.) that you can also find at Big Lots and other retailers. But did you know that they now have a BB Cream that is sold at Big Lots? I sure didn't! Many thanks to reader Shannon for this one:

Reader Heather (@loveheatherette on Instagram) shared the picture above of her Big Lots haul this week. WOW, right? I can't stress enough that the neutral palette on the right, Nude Awakening, is a nice, low-cost alternative to the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette--you can see my comparison here (I didn't say "dupe" but it's a nice alternative!). If you missed out on it last year, you've got another chance to get it, and for an unbelievable price!

Back in the middle of December, I told you that Big Lots was going to start selling Sephora by OPI polishes nationwide at all Big Lots locations. Many of you have found these polishes at your Big Lots stores over the past month, but today I want to give you a bit more info about this hot deal, because it's still going on!

Over the past week, some of you have mentioned that your local Big Lots stores seemed to have received new shipments of Sephora by OPI products, with a new influx of products popping up that weren't there during the holidays. This is great news if the inventory at your locations was small over the holidays. I strongly suggest stopping by your local Big Lots soon to see if there's new inventory--there are some deals here you don't want to miss.
