New Sephora Favorites Asian Skincare Set
I don't usually cover the Sephora Favorites sets that are available on the Sephora website, because those are easy to see for yourself (the ones that are only available in Sephora Inside JCPenney locations are what I tend to cover here, since most of us have no way of knowing about those unless we are in a SJCP store and spot them). BUT, I have a feeling this new set might go quickly, so I want to make sure you know about it.

San Diego Readers: Second Daiso Location Coming Soon
I saw something last night that almost made me crash the car, so naturally I have to share:

Eco Mart in Kearny Mesa closed a while back (so sad--I hoped they would be able to make it work), but when I was driving by last night, I saw signs on the building that said, "Daiso Coming Soon." Exciting, right? The photo above is old (taken from the Yelp Eco Mart page) but if you drive by now, you'll see the new banner.
There's already a Diaso in Mira Mesa, so this will be their second location here in San Diego. I cannot express to you how excited I am that Diaso will now be so close to Marukai, Mitsuwa, Nijiya and Zion (which has a Face Shop in the food court). It will be so extremely easy for us San Diegans to get our Asian beauty fix, all in the Convoy District.
For those new to Daiso, this is a Japanese dollar store chain (everything's $1.50, actually) with multiple locations throughout the US. They just opened their first store in Texas, and hopefully those of you who don't have a Diaso yet will get one soon, since they seem to be expanding at a pretty rapid pace. Daiso is a great place for inexpensive beauty products, snacks, kitchenware, crafting supplies, planner supplies, gardening supplies, and so much more. It's where I got those silicone "brush cleaners" I reviewed a while back, and I honestly can't count how many gadgets, trinkets, etc. I have from Diaso in my home. It's a dollar store shoppers dream, pretty much.
Anyway, I just wanted to pass along the good news to my fellow San Diegans!

L'Oreal Cushion Compact Coming to the US?
When it comes to the beauty world here in the US, I think that cushion compacts in 2015 are perhaps what BB creams were in 2011. Cushion compacts are just starting to emerge in the US but, hold on, because they're about to make an impact on the American makeup landscape, just like BB creams did a few years ago.
Already a well-established product category in Asian countries (especially in Korea, where there are not only cushion foundations, but cushion blushes, cushion lip colors, etc.), there are just a handful of choices here in the US right now (edit: I'm talking about products that are available for purchase in-store in US retailers). Off the top of my head, I can think of Lancome's Miracle Cushion, AmorePacific's Colour Control Cushion, Pur Minerals' Air Perfection Compact Cushion, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some others. Oh! And Stila just released a cushion eyeliner.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that there's no drugstore cushion compact yet (you can get the Laneige BB Cushion at Target, but that's hardly "drugstore" at $34).
But that all MIGHT be changing soon...

Hot Deal on Korean Beauty Products
Things are selling out so quickly that I don't even want to waste time including a graphic or anything fancy in this post. If you love Korean beauty, get over to Memebox RIGHT NOW and take a look at their Summer Sale. The prices are fantastic right now--lots of items that cost double (or more) the amount elsewhere. But hurry, because things are going QUICKLY.
You cannot use the 20% off code I shared with you yesterday with this sale, but you can still use that on non-sale items. Also, don't forget that you get free shipping on orders $30+ on the Memebox website.
Thanks so much to reader Tracy (@fanserviced on Instagram) for this tip!

Attention Texans: You're Getting a Daiso!
If you're in Texas and you haven't heard the news, hold on to your wallets!

image source: Daiso US Instagram page
Grand opening of the first Daiso in Texas is August 1st
Daiso, or otherwise known as my home away from home, is opening their first location in Texas on August 1st! It is located at 2540 Old Denton RD, #100, Carrollton, Texas. If you don't live close to this location, please note that Daiso stated on their Instagram that this is their FIRST Texas location, which I'm guessing means there will eventually be additional locations in your great state.
If you're new to Daiso or haven't seem my previous posts about this little wonderland of affordable products, Daiso is a Japanese retailer that sells primarily Japanese goods (although they have the most excellent selection of Kleancolor cosmetics that I've ever seen). Everything in the store is $1.50 unless otherwise noted. They sell Japanese cosmetics, housewares, snacks, crafting supplies, kitchen gadgets, organizational items, gardening supplies and much more. Basically, I like to call Daiso "the home of everything I never knew I needed...but totally need." Daiso is the place where I found that great DIY silicone brush cleaner I reviewed HERE, by the way.
So yeah, CONGRATS, Texans! And seriously, hold on to your wallets because a few minutes in this store and the next thing you know, you'll have $50 worth of irresistible goodies in your basket. Oh, and Daiso mentioned that they'll be doing giveaways on opening day, so definitely try to stop by on August 1 if you can (and arrive early because I'm sure it will be crazy).

Missha Coming to Bed Bath & Beyond?
First Makeup Revolution at Ulta and now Missha at Bed Bath & Beyond? What a week, I tell ya!
Many thanks to reader Savvy Forest for leaving a comment on the You Tell Me page just now alerting us that Missha (an extremely popular Korean beauty brand) is coming to Bed Bath & Beyond locations that have an extended (Harmon) beauty department (NOTE: if you do not know if there are BB&B stores with an extended beauty dept. in your area, you can check via the store locator here; just be sure to check the box that says "HARMON" before you search).
Savvy Forest writes:
The display(s) should be up within a week, but it looks like they will be selling their skin creams, eye creams, and some of their cosmetics (BB creams).
As Savvy Forest also pointed out in her comment, I reviewed one of Missha's BB creams a few years back and I LOVED it (and still do). You can see my review HERE. It would be awesome to be able to find this at my local BB&B and be able to use BB&B's 20% off coupons (in addition to their already-great prices on cosmetics).
If any of you see this display in the weeks to come, I would absolutely love to hear from you!
Thanks so much, Savvy Forest, for the excellent tip!
