Spotted: New Aveeno Living Color Color-Preserving Shampoo and Conditioner

Ever since I first tried Aveeno Nourish+ Moisturize Shampoo back in '09, it's been a staple in my shower. I just adore it and even awarded it "Best Cheapie Shampoo" for my 2009 Cheapie Awards. So of course I was excited to see that they've expanded the Aveeno haircare line with these new additions:

Aveeno Living Color
Color-Preserving Shampoo and Conditioner

The thing that kind of bums me out is that the bottles state: "For medium-thick hair".  What? Do you mean to tell us that gals with fine hair can't use this? Fine-haired girls color their hair too, Aveeno!

Have you seen this new addition to the Aveeno haircare line yet? Is your hair medium-thick and color-treated? If so, do you think you'll give this a shot?

Spotted: New Neutrogena Revitalizing Tinted Lip Balms SPF 20

Finally! I've heard so much about these but just finally spotted them for myself! Have you seen the new Neutrogena tinted lip balms yet?

Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balms SPF 20
(retail: $8.99 at Walgreens)

These come in six shades (unless there are more that will be revealed when this moves from the counter display to the wall) and they come in those flat, oval tubes that I'm always so obsessed with when it comes to lip products.

Right now my lips look like the picture on the left (the "before" side) so if they can turn things around for me like they do in the picture, I'm all over it. I'm just not thrilled with the $9 price tag, so hopefully there will be a good sale (and coupons) for this soon!

Have you tried one of these new tinted lip balms yet? I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts!

Spotted: Reveal by Halle Berry

I am a HUGE fan of the original Halle by Halle Berry fragrance. Ever since I first purchased it '09, it's been a go-to fragrance for me and I also enjoyed her Pure Orchid fragrance as well. So when I saw this display, I couldn't wait to try that tester bottle.

Reveal by Halle Berry
(retail: $28 for 1.0 oz, $17 for 0.5 oz at Rite Aid)

Right off the bat, I don't think the bottle is as pretty as the other two Halle Berry fragrances. It seems kind of...uninspired to me. I don't know. I'm just not thrilled with it. And as for the fragrance? After spritzing some on my wrist and wearing it for a few hours, I can tell you that it's got many of the same notes as the original Halle by Halle Berry, but Reveal seems more like a sophisticated, "nighttime" version whereas Halle is a lighter, cleaner, daytime type of fragrance. Again, this is just my initial impression, but so far I like it!

Have you spotted Reveal yet? Are you a Halle Berry fragrance fan?

Spotted: New Garnier Anti-Dandruff Shampoos and Conditioners

Of all the issues that one can have, I'm very happy to say that dandruff isn't something I suffer from (watch, I probably just jinxed myself and will end up with dandruff tomorrow).

But if you or anyone you know does suffer from those pesky little white flakes, Garnier just released three new anti-dandruff formulas and one of them actually surprised me a bit:

If you look closely at these pics, you'll see that the "Clean Control" formula in the middle (the ones in the clear bottles) contain salicylic acid as opposed to the usual anti-dandruff ingredients.  I thought that was interesting and I can't recall ever seeing a drugstore shampoo with salicylic acid in it before (although maybe I just haven't noticed them before?). Anyway, just wanted to point that out.

Have you tried these new offerings from Garnier? Did they work for you?

Spotted: New Dial NutriSkin Replenishing Lotion Collection

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this might be the first lotion line we've ever seen from Dial!

I've mentioned before that I love the Dial NutriSkin body washes (click here for a review). In fact, what's so surprising to me is that of all the lotions and potions and body washes in my shower, my boyfriend "Mr. G" seems to only compliment the softness of my skin after I've used my NutriSkin body wash. Isn't that funny?

Anyway, given my good experience with the body washes, I was excited to spot the new body lotions at a few different drugstores:

In this display, there a men's formula, a formula for dry skin (with aloe) and a formula for extra dry skin (with shea butter).

And then at another drugstore, I spotted these lotions on the regular shelf, but this time I also spotted another formula, "Soothing", which contains chamomile to help with "itchy dry skin". I'm always frustrated when counter displays don't contain the full range of products in a new line, but I'm glad I spotted the 4th formula at another store so I could show you everything in this new line.

So, do you think you might give this new Dial lotion line a try? Are you curious about it? I really hope these lotions work as well as the body washes do for me!

Spotted: New L'Oreal Go 360 Clean Anti-Breakout Cleanser

Continuing with all the new drugstore products I've spotted recently, I wanted to show you the new "scrublet" formula from L'Oreal:

 L'Oreal Go 360 Clean Anti-Breakout Facial Cleanser
(retail: $7.29 at Walgreens)

This is a new formula that contains salicylic acid to treat acne.

Now before you leave a comment telling me that you tried a Go 360 Clean cleanser and it dried out or irritated your skin (you wouldn't believe how many stories I've heard about this) I want to you that I'm sorry, and you are not alone. But I personally LOVE the Sensitive Skin formula and I've been using it for about a year now. This is the only formula I've ever tried, and will ever try, because it's the only one that doesn't contain menthol (menthol breaks me out terribly). The Sensitive Skin formula is by far my favorite drugstore cleanser that I've used to date because it's the only one that seems to deeply clean my oily skin without leaving it feeling dry or tight.

So anyway, my point is that I'm very sorry if you've tried another formula from this line and it didn't work out for you! Oh and by the way, I checked the ingredient list on this new Anti-Breakout formula and it does not contain menthol, but it does contain peppermint oil, and guess what? Peppermint oil contains menthol. So, I guess I won't be giving this one a try. Boo!

Have you tried this new scrublet formula yet? Do you think it might be a good match for your skincare needs? Are you sensitive to menthol too? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

New Sally Hansen manicure tools, hand creams and foot creams

I've got tons of new drugstore products to show you in the days to come, so I apologize in advance because you're about to get bombarded with new product posts!

First up, I spotted new manicure and pedicure tools from Sally Hansen:

These new tools include toe nail clippers, finger nail clippers, cuticle trimmers and one very interesting nail file that I'm kind of obsessed with at the moment (more on that below). The retails prices range from $4.29 to $12.19.

See that nail file on the end? It's called a "2-step sapphire file" and apparently it's curved in a way that works with the natural curve of your nail. I've never quite seen anything like it (although I'm not well-versed in state-of-the-art nail files so it could very well be a dupe of an existing product). But it's just got an interesting shape to it and I'm sure I'll eventually purchase one to see how it works. You know me and gimmicks!

And finally, we now know why the existing Sally Hansen hand and foot creams are all on clearance at CVS right now--here are the new ones!

Sorry for the bad photo, but the hand cream contains shea butter while the foot products both contain lavender. Do you like the new packaging over the old packaging?

So, what do you think about these new products from Sally Hansen? Anything catching your eye?

The Wet n Wild 8-pan palettes have landed!

I just want to give you all a heads-up since I know so many of you are anxious to get your hands on the new Wet n Wild 8-pans that are going to be sold exclusively at Walgreens and Walmart.

Guess what? My pal E (@moonlitskies76 on Twitter) told me yesterday that she spotted them at her Walmart! I think she's the first person to have a sighting (that I know of)! I haven't heard from anyone else yet, but I just couldn't keep this good news to myself! They're here! They're there!

I hope you all find them VERY soon!

Great deal on TIGI at Walgreens

Thanks to those of you who tipped me off about this clearance at Walgreens! Unfortunately, I have also heard some feedback that some of you are not seeing these deals at your locations, so once again, it really depends on your individual store.

The bottom line is this: at some locations, select TIGI products are now 75% off. At my Wags, I was only able to find this, but since I'm running low on conditioner at the moment, it was perfect timing:

TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Curly Hair Conditioner
(regular retail price: around $15. SALE PRICE: $4.19)

I can't remember the exact retail price at my Walgreens (the website says $14.99) but all I know is that the clearance sign said "NOW: $4.19" and that's good enough for me!

I just wanted to give you a heads-up about this in case you're a TIGI fan. Check your Wags and see what you can find!

Have you already spotted TIGI haircare on clearance at your local Walgreens? If so, did you pick up anything?

Weekly Drugstore Makeup Sales!

This week's makeup sales are, of course, brought to us by the lovely Make-Up on the Cheap. Click here for the full list!

I've got lots of little tidbits to share with you this week:
  • Don't forget to join the CVS Beauty Club if you haven't already (ask a cashier if you don't see the little sign-up coupons in the beauty dept)
  • I'm getting SEVERAL reports that Rite Aid has many of the exact same products on clearance as those seen at the CVS beauty clearance sale (50-75% off) so if you can't find something at CVS (or don't have a CVS in your area) you have another awesome option. And a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to let me know about that!
  • If you love Tom's of Maine products it's your lucky week! I'm guessing this brand is about to undergo a major redesign because all THREE drugstores are running the same deal this week: Tom's of Maine deodorant, toothpaste and mouthwash are all $3.99 with $3 Extra Bucks/+UP Rewards/Register Rewards. This is an excellent time to stock up.
  • Rite Aid has FREE facial tissue and bath tissue this week (their store brand is on sale for $1 and you get $1 +UP Rewards).
  • There is a very rare Burt's Bees sale going on at Rite Aid as well (click here for the details).
  • The new Neutrogena Naturals skincare that I showed you here is on sale at Walgreens this week for 20% off with $2 Register Rewards when you buy 2 items.
  • Also at Wags, Garnier and John Frieda haircare are 3/$10, including the new Garnier Pure Clean collection (silicone-free). Oh! And apparently there's a new John Frieda line called "Full Repair" that is included in this sale.
Don't forget to check my picks for the Best Drugstore Deals of the Week here. This link is also in my upper right-hand sidebar for access any time throughout the week (new readers: I update this post weekly).

Happy shopping!
