Blog Update (and Open Post)

Hello everyone! I am so sorry it's taken me so long to post this, but I'm back! Here's a short recap of what's been going on, since I know you have questions!

So after the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals died down, I wanted to take a little break for a few days and just go completely off the grid. I needed some time to myself to refocus and tend to real life stuff. But then on my birthday (which was on 12/13), I got sick. Really sick. We're talking can't-get-out-of-bed sick. I didn't have the energy to even look at my phone, check the blog or social media--I just needed to focus on getting better. Needless to say, it was the worst birthday ever.

A few days after my birthday, I started to feel like myself again and I posted a quick update on my Instagram just letting everyone know what was going on. I tried to get out and do some Christmas shopping, and I think I just pushed myself too hard too fast, and I felt lousy again. So I basically shut down and focused again on resting and getting better. 

So that brings us to today! I am FINALLY about 90% better so I dusted off the ol' laptop and here I am. Finally doing this blog post. I want to thank each and every one one of you who commented and sent me emails and messages asking if I was OK. You have no idea how much I appreciate that. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a bubble here, not really knowing how many people are reading the blog or how many people I may be connecting with (I only have comments and "likes" to judge that on, but I realize that some people read this blog whom I never hear from and I'm totally OK with that; that's just the way the internet works). But seeing comments from both longtime readers and readers whom I never knew existed touched me in a way that I can't really express in words. So thank you. From the bottom my heart, thank you for your concern.

So now that I'm back, I hope you'll give me a few days to get my bearings. I have approximately 800 unread emails right now and I have NO idea where we stand on deals and which retailers may still be shipping in time for Christmas, etc. I'm guessing that that window has closed for many retailers, but I'm also guessing that you're all probably way better off when it comes to holiday shopping than I am, and that you have almost all of the people on your lists crossed off!

So I'm thinking that the best way to get back up to speed is to hear from YOU. If you know of any hot deals, special sales, freebies, etc. that you think we all should know about, please do comment below and share them with us. Within the next few days, I'll do my best to get back up to speed and then it will be business as usual around here. I know that there are TONS of new 2017 drugstore products that I need to post about, and I also know that the CVS semi-annual beauty clearance sale is underway, so I am going to try to get a list up before the week is over. What else....? Hopefully you all can fill me in!

Again, I want to thank you for your messages and concern. It was never my intent to be away for this long, I deeply apologize for not updating you sooner. Today is really the first day that I truly feel like "me" again, and that's why I'm posting this today.
