Finally! I've heard so much about these but just finally spotted them for myself! Have you seen the new Neutrogena tinted lip balms yet?
Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balms SPF 20
(retail: $8.99 at Walgreens)
These come in six shades (unless there are more that will be revealed when this moves from the counter display to the wall) and they come in those flat, oval tubes that I'm always so obsessed with when it comes to lip products.
Right now my lips look like the picture on the left (the "before" side) so if they can turn things around for me like they do in the picture, I'm all over it. I'm just not thrilled with the $9 price tag, so hopefully there will be a good sale (and coupons) for this soon!
Have you tried one of these new tinted lip balms yet? I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts!
$9 seems quite high, I can only imagine what we'll pay for them when they finally reach Canada. But let's face it...I'll have to try one no matter what, so excited for these!
ReplyDeleteThese look interesting. The latest issue of All You has a coupon for $3 off any Neutrogena Cosmetics product.
ReplyDeleteI have one! It's shade #60, called, I think, Perfect Plum. I love Neutrogena lip products in general and this one is no exception. I sucked it up and paid the $9 because it was the second CVS I'd seen them at, and the first display was totally pillaged. (Should've used Extra Bucks.) It's a *great* tinted balm - it feels good on, it's pigmented enough to really add color to your lips (at least in the shade I have), and it wears off evenly. Hope I helped :)
ReplyDeleteNeutrogena makeup is wayyy overpriced, I like their skincare though
ReplyDelete$9 is a bit much for lipbalm, BUT i have lost my heart to Fresh's lip treatment balm and that runs $22 (ouchie), so i'd be inclined to try this at least once and see how it stacks up.

ReplyDeleteI have this in Petal Glow and I like it. It is a bit strange though because it is kinda a weird overly oval shape that doesn't really fit anyone's lips. If you use it the long way, it doesn't look good at the corner of your lips. If you use it the short way, it wears down the middle.
ReplyDeleteThere is a scent and taste to it too. I can't figure out what it is though, maybe melon? It's OK. I really like this color though and it does leave some color after it wears off.
The only reason I bought this because I had a $3 off Neutrogena eye/lip product from a paper and it was buy 1 get 1 50% off last week at Wags. Otherwise I would NOT have paid that much for it.
I just picked this up yesterday in Petal (#40). I really like it a lot. It makes my lips feel really moisturized. A huge plus for me is it does not come off on my teeth like many lip balms do (and since I recently got clear braces this is even more important to me). I don't know if it lives up to its promise of fuller lips, etc. I'm just happy to have a tinted lip balm that is a pretty color that makes my lips feel good. So far so good!
ReplyDeleteOK, well the consensus seems like we all think $9 is too much for a balm. But for those of you that have one, it sounds like you're all liking it so far (excellent observation about the shape though, Nessa!).
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the coupon tip, bluecollar! I let my sub to All You expire and I keep forgetting to renew it, darnit!
I tried this in the plum color. I really thought it would be deeper color. It's a very drab, muted color that looks like a grayed rose. I have light to medium skin. It feels great on the lips but it really doesn't have ingredients that are good for you. It has the standard sunscreen ingredients such as avobenzone and oxybenzone and also has a lot of petrolatum which I've read is best to avoid.
ReplyDeleteIt does cost more because it's a treatment product too, containing their new Ion technology which is like a mini microcurrent activated by the chemicals in the sunscreen.
The Burt's Bees feels just as nice on the lips, and it's all natural. Their Rose color is much prettier too!
