Mother & Daughter Reader Swatches: NEW Black Radiance Limited Edition Perfect Tone SPF15 Lip Gloss Collection

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I thought it was the perfect time to share some very special reader swatches from both a mother and a daughter! It brings so much joy to my heart to receive photo submissions like this--Anoninnyc not only submitted some photos of these new glosses from Black Radiance, but she also included swatches on both herself and her daughter, to illustrate how these glosses look on two different skintones. NEW Black Radiance Limited Edition Perfect Tone SPF15 Lip Gloss Collection

For those new to Black Radiance, this brand is made by Markwins (makers of Wet n Wild) and you can find Black Radiance products at select Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, Kmart and Walmart locations nationwide (Anoninnyc spotted this display at her local Rite Aid). You can also buy Black Radiance cosmetics on the Walgreens and Drugstore.com websites, although they do not usually carry limited edition collections like this.

NEW Black Radiance Eye Appeal 8-Pan Palette and Soft Focus Finishing Powders (Plus: Reader Swatches)

Did you know that Black Radiance (from the same makers as Wet n Wild) has released a new 8-pan palette and some new face powders? I sure didn't, but thanks to two lovely readers I have pics (and some swatches) to share with you today!

First up, reader Tiffany (@shesfab01 on Instagram) spotted the new displays at her Kmart this week and kindly shared these pics:

NEW Black Radiance Eye Appeal in Island Blues (far right)

UPDATED: The new palette is on the far right called Island Blues. The middle palette in this display is Downtown Browns, which came out in 2012 (you can see my extensive review and comparison of this palette to other Wet n Wild palettes HERE). The palette on the far left is called Deeper the Berry and it is new as well (thanks to reader @simplyheather85 on Instagram for that tip--I had previously indicated that this palette was the existing palette called Posh Plums).

I am personally not a fan of One Direction (apologies to any Directioners out there!) and I kind of turned a blind eye to the news of the band releasing a makeup line. You know I'm a longtime Wet n Wild and Black Radiance fan, so now that I know Markwins International is the manufacturer (PROOF), I figured this collection warranted a closer look...

I've heard good things about Black Radiance face products from many of you (due to my skintone, which is NC20, I can only wear their foundation primer and color cosmetics such as eyeshadow, lipstick, blush, etc.). But I had no idea that they were also releasing new eyeshadow trios AND 5-pans this year, until two lovely readers shared some pics!

I couldn't find any info about this new collection on the Black Radiance website (yet), but you can see that these are dual-ended with a balm on one side and a gloss on the other. Also note the $1 off peelie coupons on the tubes!

New Black Radiance True Complexion BB Cream SPF15

Attention Women of Color! I just spotted this on the Black Radiance website:

I know that so many drugstore BB Creams don't offer shade options for deeper skintones, so I'm THRILLED that Black Radiance (owned by Markwins, makers of Wet n Wild) is coming out with a BB Cream next month, exclusively formulated for Women of Color. Yay for a new, affordable drugstore BB option for those of you with deeper skintones!

Are you a Black Radiance fan? Are you excited to try this one out? As many of you know, the Black Radiance Complexion Perfection Face Primer is my holy grail face primer, so I hope that this BB Cream is up to those standards. I don't think I'll be able to review it since there probably won't be a match for my NC20 skintone, but I would LOVE to hear from you if you try it!

Spotted: New Perfect Tone Lipsticks and Lipglosses from Black Radiance

Earlier today I showed you the new under eye color correction kits and mascaras from Black Radiance (from the makers of Wet n Wild), and now I'd like to show you the Urban Flowers Lip Collection, which contains 12 new shades of Perfect Tone Lipstick and Perfect Tone Lip Gloss (permanent new shades, not limited edition).

Reader Tara spotted this display at her local CVS and was nice enough to share:

"12 new shades.  Lush, color popping shades that moisturize and condition with soothing botanicals."

Each new Perfect Tone Lipstick has a corresponding shade of Perfect Tone Lip Gloss, for a total of six new glosses and six new lipglosses. There are two shades missing in this display--the corresponding lighter purple/lavender lipstick (African Violet) is not present, as well as the new hot pink lipgloss (Haute Pink) (you can see the missing shades here).

Black Radiance products can be a little tricky to find (not all Rite Aid, CVS and Walgreens locations carry the line) but they're also in select Walmarts (and Kmarts too, I believe). You can also purchase most (but not all) Black Radiance products from Walgreens.com and Drugstore.com if you can't find them in your area.

I have to apologize to anyone who has submitted new product pics in the past few months. With things starting to settle down with my family, I hope to be able to catch up on email soon and hopefully get all of your wonderful pics up in one, great big post. So please check back soon for that!

In the meantime, I have collected some pics of new products that I've spotted while out and about at the drugstores and grocery stores lately (grocery stores tend to get new haircare before the drugstores do in my area) so I'd love to share my discoveries with you!
