Keep reading for all the details and lots of pictures...

Price: $6.99
Each kit comes with: one 6 pan baked eyeshadow palette, one mini liquid eyeliner, one applicator which has a sponge on one side and a brush on the other side, and step-by-step instructions for application accompanied by a diagrammed photograph.
The Blue Icing Collection comes with a bright, sparkly metallic blue liquid eyeliner. The Blue Icing baked eyeshadow palette's colors are: soft baby blue-green, super vibrant aqua, a denim-like periwinkle, baby rose pink, bright fuchsia, and deep grape. Amount of shimmer varies from color to color; some are a satin-like shimmer while others are very shimmery. So pretty! Looks like candy!
The Rum Spice Collection comes with a neutral toned gold liquid eyeliner. The Rum Spice baked eyeshadow palette's colors are: lavender tinged taupe-y silver/silvery taupe (difficult to capture in the photos, beautiful shade!), soft baby pink, rich eggplant, peachy flesh, burnished golden copper, and deep red brown. Again, finishes vary from satin-like shimmer to very shimmery. The colors are gorgeous!
Quick note about the packaging on these: they are in boxes and there is a tab on the left side that says "Pull" with an arrow pointing to the left. When you pull on the tab the application instructions slide out of the left side of the box and the products slide out of the right side of the box. The products are beneath molded plastic to keep them in place. The baked eyeshadow palettes are housed in the same packaging as the limited edition Wet 'n Wild Baked Collection from holiday 2011: a black plastic bottom with no label/s and a clear plastic top which comes completely off (no hinge). The only difference in packaging: the Black Radiance palettes say "Eye Shadow" in silver letters on the clear tops.

If you wanted the WnW Holiday 2012 palettes but couldn't find them last year, this could be a nice alternative.
Have you spotted/purchased these palettes yet? Thoughts?
Thanks so much for the heads-up and the great pics and info, Tara!

Can't wait to find these. I love BR and WnW. I wish they were more popular than just a cult following. It's sad how little their displays are in stores. If only people knew that a $2 multi-pan eye shadow is just as good as some of the $50+ eyeshadows out there.
ReplyDeleteNot all stores have small displays! :) I've been to Rite Aids and Walmarts here in San Diego that have large, very extensive BR displays. I just wish ALL stores did! :)
Deleteoooh, these are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDo they sell these in cali? is there way to find out which drugstores carry the brand?
ReplyDeleteim in cali... right by sf. i've seen these at the rite aid in mountain view so im sure other rite aids might carry them
DeleteMary, try going on the BR website and using the store locator. Once you find some stores in your area that sell BR, you can call those stores and ask them if they have these palettes.
DeleteI'm a huge black radiance fan. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteThey have these at Walgreens by my house for 4.99
ReplyDeleteDoes Black radiance ever go on sale? I never see sales for this brand unless it's an item on clearance
ReplyDeletedoes black radiance ever go on sale?
ReplyDeleteI can't recall ever setting BR go on BOGO1/2OFF at any of the drugstores before, BUT, I have seen it go on Rite Buy at Rite Aid before. all BR products were $2 off for one month (Rite Buys are month-long sales).
DeleteI spotted these at a CVS near me. If you live in Chicago (south side), just check out the CVS location by 91st or 92nd and South Chicago. It is right across the street from the retirement place apartments. I skipped them because I wanted the Sparkle Til' Morning palette by WnW. I found it by gum but it didn't have much left. I will update the map accordingly.
ReplyDeleteYes they do go on sale..I found the 8 pan aplettes at my local Dollar General on sale. If I remember correctly alot of people posted about seeing these in the christmas section, that is where I found them. :)
ReplyDeleteWnW and Black Radiance are made from the same company. They are the same Co. LOL
ReplyDeleteCheck the info on the back of the pallets. This is why they are close to WnW last years release. HTH :)
Maybe you missed the second paragraph of this post. Thanks anyway.
DeleteI've seen these at my local Walgreens too.
ReplyDeleteThe neutral color palette is amazing!! I found these a few days ago at walgreens and bought one of each.. The candy colors are a little to pastel for me, so I returned it.. Not bc of quality.. Just bc of the colors.. The neutrals are so nice!! This was in a small display near the beauty register.. The liner is also nice!! Great steal for 4.99!!
ReplyDeleteI saw these in my CVS, but didn't know if they'd be any good. I'm guessing by the positive reviews of the WNW baked shadows, these would be just as good. I think I'll pick some up!
ReplyDeleteThese finally landed at my CVS lol
ReplyDeleteThey were marked up to $7 at my store though. I had a 30% coupon, so it was like getting them for 4.99 like the WNW pricepoint. Grabbed one of each.
Thanks for the heads up on all the makeup, G + nouvettes!
