Spotted at Rite Aid: New products from Carmindy, Jesse's Girl, NYC and more (pic heavy)

I struck gold at my lucky Rite Aid last night and I'm super excited to show you all the new goodies I spotted (spoiler: NYC has a new powder foundation!). So let's get started.

As always, apologies for the blurry Blackberry pictures. :)

Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy Forever Stay Moisture Gloss (retail: $9.95)

Lip Smacker 100% Natural Lip Balms (retail: $2.25). Flavors: Acai Berry, Pink Guava, Honeydew Melon, Vanilla Bean

I JUST reviewed the new Softlips natural line and they also have an Acai Berry flavor (click here for my review)! These new Lip Smackers are also paraben, gluten and petroleum-free, so that's awesome. And the packaging is printed on recycled paper using soy inks. I'm excited that the Lip Smackers are just $2.25 compared to Softlips natural balms which are $3.99, however, as much as I am a freak for acai berry, I could not justify buying another acai berry-flavored lip balm since I just bought the Softlips, so if any of you have tried these, please leave comment on this post and let us know what you think!

Prestige Anti-Aging Lipstick (retail price: unknown as there was no price tag on this display)

If you saw my breaking news post from a while back, this is one of many new Prestige products scheduled to hit drugstores this year (click here to see the other new Prestige products). Can't wait to try one of these!

Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls (retail: $13.95 but there is an instant $3 off coupon on each box)

What's interesting to note is that these appear to be loose beads, but upon closer inspection, the beads are really just a design that's been embossed into the powder. They sure are pretty though.

Jesse's Girl Electric Pinks Lip Gloss (retail: $4.99)

Up close, the colors of these glosses are extremely vivid. The hot pink in the middle actually has a blue iridescence to it and the packaging of these glosses is a lot thicker and sturdier than other JG glosses. I probably would have purchased the nude pink shade (on the far left) but these don't come with a safety seal. I HATE it when glosses aren't safety-sealed because there's just no way of telling if curious gals out there have tested them. Ick!

NYC Blushable Creme Stick and Matte Powder Foundation (retail: $4.99 for the foundation, blush stick unknown as there was no price tag on this display)

OK first, let's talk about this Blushable Creme Stick. Could this be a drugstore dupe of the infamous NARS The Multiple which retails for $37?? How fantastic would that be? The shades available are gorgeous in person--cannot wait to try one of these!

Second, a new low-cost POWDER FOUNDATION? I screamed when I saw this! I am a total powder foundation addict (click here to see my current fave drugstore powder foundation) so I just HAD to buy this one. It's just $4.99 which is AWESOME, so I hope it works! Please check back for my review--I'll try to post it as soon as possible.

Here's a close-up of the shade I bought, which is 731U Urban Light. I was tempted to get the medium shade but it looked a tad too much on the pinky side, so I hope this lighter shade works!

And finally, I just had to giggle when I saw these:

Hum...an Ed Hardy-esque lip gloss line that's called "Hedy's Beeswax Company"? I don't know...I think I'm just too old for this business, but if you're an Ed Hardy fan you might want to check these out. :)

That's it for this report but, as always, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

  1. LOL!! Whoops! Thanks for catching that, Rai! I'll edit that now. Yes, definitely NYC and not NYX. :)

  2. Looks like I should head to Rite Aid today. Right after I snap some pics of the e.l.f. stuff at Target of course!

  3. Why does my Rite Aid almost never get this new stuff? It seems it takes them forever to unpack new stock too. Anyway...

Wow, the Carmindy glosses are expensive! $10? They better have good sales on that!

  4. Aedd: YAY!! Can't wait to see those pics! :)

JT: I'm sorry about your Rite Aid. That is a huge bummer, I know. As for the Carmindy glosses, I totally agree. Definitely not worth it to pay full price...have to wait for a good BOGO for sure. But I do admit I'm always intrigued long-wear glosses that aren't a two-part system. :)

  8. Ed Hardy lipglosses? Awww.... FAIL.

Thanks for your sweet comment on my eyes! ^^

Yes I'm really disappointed with this body yogurt from Avon. Well, I've been disappointed with a lot of products, though. I think I won't be buying from them. I'm a rep... and I'm calling it quite! =D

  9. Ooh. I'm drawn to those new lipsmackers like a moth to a flame. :-} I've always been a lipsmacker fan!

  10. My drug stores aren't nearly as good as yours either.

Just wanted to point out that the packaging for the new Lip Smackers looks a lot like the Maybelline gourmet-themed Color Sensational tube glosses (blanking on the name right now).

And I'm excited about the prospect of NYC blush sticks.

  11. Diem Ho: I'm sorry you don't have a Rite Aid near you. But hopefully you'll be able see the blush sticks at another store? :)

Gaby: lol!! Yeah, Avon's bath and body stuff doesn't really impress me, though there are some things that are nice, like the bubble baths. I really just buy makeup from them--love their liners and some of their matte eyeshadows are unbelievably good. :)

femputer: LOL!!! Me too, girl. Me too. :)

Elocina: Oh, the packaging on the new Lip Smackers looks like the Shine Sensational glosses?? I reviewed the Shine Sensational glosses a little while ago and those are in tubes...these Lip Smackers are sticks though? I'm confused! lol. Is there a new Lip Smacker that comes in a squeeze-tube that I don't know about? Tell me, tell me! :)

  12. What I meant was that the pictures on the package and the Lip Smacker sticks look similar to those on the Color Sensational tubes -- I guess what I should have said is that the displays/marketing is similar.

  13. Elocina: Ooooh, I totally understand now! Thanks for clarifying. :) And yes, I agree!! :)

  14. I love my N.Y.C. powder foundation! I bought it in Metro Tan at Rite Aid. I'm wearing it right now and wear it everyday. I don't use the sponge anymore.
