Reader Spotlight: Jess

Every Monday, I like to start the week off right by giving thanks to longtime readers and putting them in the "spotlight." For this installment of Reader Spotlight, I'm interviewing longtime reader and photo contributor Jess. Jess has been responsible for many of the drugstore sightings I've shared with you over the years (we share a love of drugstore haircare and facial care products and she always seems to find brand new products before I've even heard of them!). It's my honor to help you get to know Jess a little bit better!

Reader Spotlight: Lillian

For this week's installment of Reader Spotlight, I'd love to introduce you to Lillian. Some of you may know Lillian as a long-time commenter on this blog, but most of you probably know her from her own blog, Funny Face's Place. Lillian, who is located in London,  is one of the sweetest girls I've ever had the pleasure of "meeting" and her talent as an artist carries over to everything she does with makeup and fashion (she even has her own adorable jewelry line). Lillian's use of bold color inspires me to break out of my "earthtone comfort zone", and I fell in love with her talents early on. In fact, what sealed the deal for me were her "Elementals" makeup looks from 2010 where she interpreted Ice, Air, Water and Fire. Amazing. So without further ado, meet Lillian!

Reader Spotlight: Rachel

This week's installment of Reader Spotlight includes an interview with my pal Rachel, who is a longtime reader and photo contributor to Nouveau Cheap. Rach, as I lovingly refer to her, was one of the first readers to submit a photo of a new product sighting to me, and is still very much active in contributing to the blog to this day. She's extremely kind, generous and super helpful, often spotting new products and sharing her insights here, and I'm so grateful to have her as a part of this little community.

Reader Spotlight: Darcey

For this week's edition of Reader Spotlight, I'm interviewing the lovely Darcey, aka femputer. Darcey has been a reader since practically the very beginning of Nouveau Cheap, and is still an active commenter to this day. In fact, she even remembers when all of my photos here were taken with my Blackberry phone (RIP) and how I lovingly referred to that phone as my CBC (you'll see what that stands for in a second). It's my honor to share this interview with Darcey with you. She's always got great insights into the world of drugstore makeup and the swatches and reviews she posts of drugstore makeup on her own blog are amazing--you should check 'em out!

Reader Spotlight: Aly

Time for another installment of Reader Spotlight! Today I bring you an interview with Aly from the blog Wonderland Beauty. Aly is an absolute sweetheart and has the distinction of being the only reader (to my knowledge) to have read all 3,000+ posts published on this blog to date. Aly emailed me before I even thought to start the Reader Spotlight series to let me know that she had made her way through my archives going all the way back to my very first blog post in 2009 and, needless to say, it left me speechless! I'm still speechless when I think about it, and I am immensely honored to have her as part of this little community. That said, let's get to know Aly a little bit better!

For this week's installment of Reader Spotlight, I'm shining my spotlight on longtime reader beautifulmonday. When I say longtime reader, I really mean it. Beautifulmonday has been reading and commenting on this blog since just about the very beginning (I started Nouveau Cheap in the Spring of 2009 and she's been actively commenting since Summer 2009). Reader Spotlight: Kimberly

If you're new to the Reader Spotlight interview series, I created this series as a way to show my thanks to longtime/loyal readers. I think it also allows us all to get to know each other a bit better, which I love (I hope you do too!).

New series: Reader Spotlight

In my ongoing efforts to give back to you, the Nouveau Cheap readers, for making this little community such a great resource for all of us, I've created a new series where I will be interviewing longtime readers. Not only do I want to thank longtime readers for their continued support, but I also think this will be a nice way for all of us to get know each other a bit better!

So for the first edition of Reader Spotlight, I interviewed longtime reader Donna.
