Things all seemed to change for the better with the release of the Almay Liquid Lip Balms back in May (which I still need to review--I love them!) and was I hoping that wasn't just a fluke. Well I'm happy to say that things are continuing to look up in Almay-land! They've just released a completely new, interesting line of whipped shadows available in some gorgeous (and bold...for Almay) shades in both matte and metallic finishes!
Huge thanks to reader Katie (@ktv425 on Instagram) for this sighting--Katie spotted the new Almay Shadow Softies display at her local Bed Bath & Beyond recently and shared some pics:

Almay Shadow Softies Eye Shadows by i-Color at Bed Bath & Beyond
(price and weight unknown)
From the display:
"Color whipped to perfection"
"Lightweight, crease-free pure color"
"12 shades - 6 matte and 6 metallic"
I don't know the price of these yet, but you know that CVS and Rite Aid frequently run excellent deals on Almay i-Color products, so I'm sure that if we wait a bit we'll get a fantastic deal on these.

Have you spotted the new Almay Shadow Softies yet? Are you as excited as I am about these? As soon as I find this display myself, I will purchase these, so expect a review in the future!
Thanks so very much, Katie, for the great sighting and pics!
Squeeee!Seriously, I'm so excited! I hope these have color payoff, and the packaging is so cute! It looks different from the typical boring white plastic Almay packaging.I'm glad that they went with black package, it looks more sleek and modern. :)
ReplyDeleteI used to like their Bright Eyes cream shadows (they were in a purple tube) and they used to have really nice foundations (I can't remember what I used to use) but then they became kind of a blah line. Nice to see them trying again, as they had some nice products back in the day.
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing! I agree with G, Almay has a very boring line of cosmetics. I never even look in their section because it's so lame. I am very excited about these and will be on the lookout for them next time I'm at CVS. thanks for the pics! :D
ReplyDeleteAre these permanent?
ReplyDeleteThese look great! I also am looking at that olive green shade! I also really like how they have mattes. I can't wait until they are available in my area.
ReplyDeleteSo excited, hope these are as good as they look! Can't wait for your review! :)
ReplyDeleteSo are these cream shadows like the Maybelline color tattoos? Is so, count me in!!
ReplyDeletethat green shade way in the back is calling me!
ReplyDeleteI was JUST at rite aid, which as you know is having a sale on almay products this week, but couldn't find ANYTHING good. I'm excited for these!
ReplyDeleteOhhh that packaging! I haven't bought any Almay products in a long time, but this just might get some loving from me =)
ReplyDeleteGood for Almay for finally stepping out of the boring box! P.s. I did buy 2 of the liquid lip balms and I do like them very much!!! So YAY for Almay!!! Hey I'm a poet! :)
ReplyDeleteSeeing these is making me think Maybelline had whipped eyeshadows back in the day? Does anyone else remember?
ReplyDeleteYes, that green...and the orange!!! I can't wait to try these, as I won't purchase anything Maybelline but have heard great things about the color tattoo line...so I hope these are just as good, or better. They could've done better (imo) w the promo shot of Kate Hudson, would be nice to see her in some colour as opposed to the fresh neutral palette she is almost always featured with. Packaging shape is really cute, I really don't care too much about the colour of packaging, as long as it isn't that silicone-y Nars type...blah!
ReplyDeleteWay to go with the packaging and colors Almay! Weh nare these slated to arrive in normal retailers like Walgreens. Wanna get my hands on these!!! The packaging, oh my word!
ReplyDeleteOh I am super excited! That blue is so calling my name and it will be coming home with me after months of chasing it down lol, it normally takes me a month and a half to get here sadly :(
ReplyDeleteThe packaging is amazing! I cant wait to get my hands on these!
ReplyDeleteI purchased one today at Target for $4.49. I picked creme brûlée. The shadow felt soft but when swatched on my hand it was sheer. I plan to return this one.
ReplyDeleteTry the Creme Brulee as a highlighter before you return it. It looks great on the cupid's bow.
DeleteI still haven't seen these in my area yet. Hopefully they will be here for the holiday sales.
ReplyDeleteThese have landed at Walgreens.
ReplyDeletewhere is my comment? I hate re-typing things. Does this only happen to me?
ReplyDeleteI found these today at Target in Olive Branch ,Ms but they only have seven of the colors, I ended up stopping by Walgreens in Olive Branch and they had the whole display with all of the colors!
