Open thread: Big Lots nail polish sightings

Over the past few weeks, I've received dozens and dozens of emails, tweets, Facebook comments, etc. about what you all are finding at Big Lots right now (thank you all SO much for the awesome tips!). I wish I could thank you all by name, but the amount of sightings has become so high that I've had a hard time keeping track of them (sorry!!). In other words, there are some GREAT deals to be had right now at Big Lots stores for nail polish, so I wanted to create an open thread so that you can list exactly what you've been spotting (and the prices, of course!).

Here's what I've heard from you so far--please add to this list in the comments if you've spotted something not mentioned here:

Jesse's Girl JulieG Limited Edition Holiday 2012 Collection - $1 each

Milani polishes (discontinued shades?) - $1 each

Sinful Colors polishes (core and LE) - $1 each

Sinful Colors Magnetics - $1 each

Revlon 2-pack polishes including regular shades, Suedes and Star Attraction Magnetics- $2 per 2-pack

Hedy's ma.nish.a polishes (not sure which collections) - $1 each

Blue Cross Holiday 2012 Holiday Lights Light Up polishes (milky glitters) - $1 each

CQ polishes (various shades) - $1 each

Petites polishes (various shades) - $1 each

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Limited Edition Fall 2012 polishes (including In A Flurry) - $1 each  (special thanks to reader Lindsay for the tip on In A Flurry!)

Like reader Na mentioned,  if you do not live in an area with Rite Aid stores, this could be a great way to try Jesse's Girl, Hedy's ma.nish.a, Blue Cross, CQ and Petites, which are all easily available at Rite Aid but  not many other places.

Please feel free to comment on this post if you'd like to add any specific shades you've spotted, or any brands not mentioned above. And thank you SO much to everyone who has taken the time to share the above sightings with us!

  4. My Revlon Magnetic was on it's own - not in a two pack - for $1. I found a two-pack of glitters, though (Midnight Sparkle and Brilliant Bordeaux).

  7. I've hit a couple of Big Lots recently and have seen most of the stuff you've mentioned. In addition, I've seen neon yellow and pink LA Girls and also Sally Hansen magnetic, along with a few Diamond Strength and Xtreme Wears. Personally, I've picked up a lot of Sinful Colors, including discontinued colors and magnetic, a holiday Julie G, and a couple of (Blue Cross?) Snowmen polishes.

  8. I'm so pleased with the Julie G. polish I got. Absolutely fantastic wear with my Butter London top coat. I'm on day four!

The Sinful Magentics at my store did NOT have the magnets, but the Revlons and Sally Hansens did.

  9. I just hauled big time, thanks to your tips! I bought 3 Sally Hansen Diamond Strength, 3 Sally Hansen Hard as Nails, 4 Sinful Colors Nail Art, 3 Julie G (seemed to be holiday colors), 2 Revlon magnetics, and 3 Sinful Colors. They also had some other miscellaneous nail polishes.

  10. I purchased Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Black Tie, Crystal Beading, and Sparkling Rose, 3 Sinful Colors Magnetics, 1 Light Up "blue cross" in pink glitter, along with a few different brands in shades of green I got for my Mom and Daughters. They all were Priced at $1

I also found Revlon Nail Art Break Up in "1" and "star of the Bazaar" for $2 and in that same trip I found the ELF 100 eyeshadow palette for $5 and an ELF Beauty Book Glitter Eye for $2.50.

I was impressed with the amount and variety my local store had. I live in a small town in West Virginia and Didn't expect to find anything good.

  11. I was there this evening. I saw the Sally Hansen magnetic polish (the purple shade only). All of the Revlon 2 packs consisted of the either the scented polishes, crackle polishes, and/or the Top Speed line. ELF had packs of polish consisting of around 10-15 polishes, mostly in the red/pink family. Lots of ELF eyeshadow palettes of different colors too. There were many many packs of the Sally Hansen nail polish strips, only in bright yellow though.

I wish my BL had JulieG :(

  12. I have a couple that I stop at, and one had Sinful Magnetics...I didn't know Sinful made magnetics. Color number I got were 1153-1159. One of them, called Polar Opposites is BEAUTIFUL! It is a shimmery grey, with micro glitter that shifts from pink to blue to teal...they only had 1 bottle, but now I'm on a mission. Also LOTS of Revlon.

  14. Essie As Gold As It Gets, L'Oreal VIP status, L'Oreal Notting Hill Blues , L'Oreal Gorgeous Gold, 2 of the SH Magnetics (but a lot of each) Golden Conduct and Graphite Gravity. The SH's, as mentioned above, were $1.60. I think the rest were $1 each, or $2 at most. Plus, they had the usual Revlon 2-packs for $2 each. Lots of the LE Halloween colors in those.

  15. I found Essie stylenomics for only $1!! It's actually my first purchase of Essie since they're usually expensive. I had to double take at the price! Lol

  18. My Big Lots (in northern VA) has the Revlon 2 packs of the summer 2012 Escapism collection (Sheer Seafoam, Red Bikini, Surf, Gold Coast). I'm a bit annoyed that i bought Gold Coast previously at full price about a month ago!

  19. I got the sinful colors magnetic and the Sally Hanson magnetic. Crackle color club neon green. And a neon pink L A girls which even after hours doesn't want to dry.

  20. Today I got a HUGE haul at my local Big Lots. Revlon Top Speed, Sally Hansen (smooth and perfect, insta dri, xtreme wear, complete salon manicure, and nailgrowth miracle) as well as a couple Essie pinks. Some of the polishes had the CVS clearance stickers on them. I paid $1.00 each.

  21. The Ma.Nish.Ma polishes I found were from the Mirror Nail Color collection in this post. I've only seen two so far. http://nouveaucheap.blogspot.com/2012/10/spotted-at-drugstore-new-holiday-polish.html

The last time I visited, I found Essie top coats "Good To Go" and "No Chips Ahead" in plastic boxes hanging on the pegboard for $1 each. I also found a variety of Essie (lots of reds!), along with a lot of Nicole by OPI, mostly the Kardashian collection.

For those of you who haven't found the $1 bargains yet, remember to look in the baskets hanging at the corners near the end caps. Or, your store may have these in baskets on the bottom shelf. With the exception of the Essie top coats, the $1 polish bargains I've found weren't hanging on the pegboard.

  22. One more item not mentioned above...I found a few SH Complete Salon Manicure colors for $1 each. Mostly the tame colors, like Sheer Me Now and Polar Bare.
