China Glaze Hunger Games announcement

In case you haven't heard about this yet today, I received the following annoucement from directly from China Glaze's PR:

The collection of colors, still in development, will be available at specialty beauty retailers beginning on March 1, 2012.

Review: J.R. Watkins Lemon Cream Hand Cream (caution: do not use while hungry)

Since Rite Aid is having a sale this week on J.R. Watkins products (2/$3!), I thought I better hurry up and post a review ASAP. I recently received an assortment of J.R. Watkins products and will be bringing you additional reviews in the near future, but today I want to talk about my very favorite product of the bunch, the Lemon Cream Hand Cream. Lovelies, this is the product that I wanted Lush Lemony Flutter to be, but I'm jumping ahead of myself here (more on that in a bit):

Before I even get into why I love this product, I have to say that I adore the vintage apothecary packaging. Not only because I love anything old-timey, but because J.R. Watkins has actually been in business since 1868, so they're not just being "cutesy" with this packaging. It's a call-back to their roots:

Revlon Rite Aid sale update

It's been brought to my attention by several of you (thank you, by the way!) that the Revlon 40% off sale this week at Rite Aid is for COLORSTAY cosmetics and beauty tools only. My apologies for incorrectly stating it was all Revlon cosmetics on the weekly drugstore post--it's been a heck of a week trying to keep everything straight and I totally missed the "fine print" in the ad.

I'm so very sorry if I got anyone's hopes up, especially if you were planning on buying some new Lip Butters this week.

I have been blown away by the new 2012 Maybelline products that I've covered on this blog so far (Illegal Length Fiber Extensions Mascara, Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel eyeshadows and Master Precise Eyeliner Pens, SuperStay 10HR Stain Glosses and 14HR Lipsticks and MasterShape Eyebrow Pencils). And if Maybelline were to quit there, I think many of us would be pretty satisfied. BUT, they're not quitting there!
