Attention San Diego Readers!

I don't post about deals exclusive to my hometown unless they're REALLY special. But if you're in San Diego, you need to know about this one!

Thanks to reader @troxylove on Instagram for letting me know that the Ulta in Clairemont Town Square is now open (next to TJMaxx) and they're giving away passes for 20% off your purchase, including prestige beauty, to celebrate the grand opening!

CLICK HERE to see what the pass looks like. And go go go before they run out! The pass itself is good through October 3rd, so no pressure on figuring out what to buy!

Thanks again, @troxylove, for the awesome tip!

ATTENTION SAN DIEGO READERS

A reason why everyone (not just SD readers) should always, always check the You Tell Me page whenever you visit my blog? You will see AWESOME tips submitted by our little community in real time (as soon as I see a comment I approve it, so actually it's almost in real time).

Reader Sarah S. left a comment earlier today on the You Tell Me page that made me immediately call my friend G. (yep, she goes by G. too) and beg her to get this for me:

Urban Decay Naked 1 and Naked 2 palettes are 50% OFF at the GTM in Santee RIGHT NOW (not at the Lemon Grove location). My friend G. lives very close to this store, so I begged her to go over there this morning and get me the Naked 2 palette (I already have Naked 1 and 3). I just met her for lunch and picked it up, and I'll tell you a bit more about this deal, after the jump...

San Diego Readers: New Ulta Opening in Clairemont

I realize this is my second San Diego-related post in 24 hours, and I'm sorry to the rest of you, but this is my hometown and I get really excited when beauty-related news is happening here!

So please bear with me while I share this with my SD peeps:

Mr. G and I were in Clairemont last night and I pretty much made him slam on the brakes when I saw this. There's a new Ulta opening up right next door to TJMaxx in Clairemont Town Square

Clairemont Town Square is probably my favorite shopping center in all of San Diego. There's a free-standing Bath & Body Works next to Vons (I love not having to go to a mall for my BBW fix), and there's also a TJMaxx, Ross, Burlington Coat Factory, Sally Beauty, CVS, Big Lots, 99-Cent Only, Michael's and Payless Super Store, all in the same shopping center (oh, and a Rita's Frozen Custard and Krispy Kreme too...just sayin'). And now an ULTA? I already spend a ridiculous amount of time in this shopping center, and that's going to double now, I'm sure. When Mr. G saw this last night, his only words were, "Oh no."

Attention San Diego Peeps: LAB2 Makeup Brush Trade-In Tomorrow (Saturday, 4/11)

If you're in San Diego, you need to know about this one! Check it out:

Tomorrow (4/11) from 11AM to 2PM, you can take any animal hair makeup brush you may have lying around to the San Diego Humane Society (San Diego Campus in Mission Valley) and trade it in for a brand new LAB2 brush kit (pictured above).

Get your hands on these brushes! Bring one of your makeup brushes made from animal hair to the @sdhumanesociety THIS SATURDAY, trade it in and we'll give you a vegan, cruelty-free I'm Turning Pro Kit! We'll be there playing with pups and raising awareness for Animal Cruelty Prevention Month from 11-2 - hope to see you there!

If you're unfamiliar with LAB2, they're a relatively new brand that can be purchased exclusively at Walmart and via the LAB2 website. I love that they're doing this, and it makes me want to try their brushes even more! Do you already own any LAB2 brushes? I'd love to hear from you!

Swatches: Glitter polishes from The Face Shop

Last weekend I paid a visit to The Face Shop, which is a Korean-based chain similar to The Body Shop. They sell cosmetics, BB and CC Creams, bath and body products, skincare, haircare, fragrance and, of course, nail color. It's basically a beauty-lover's dream inside this store, and if you haven't been to The Face Shop yet, I highly recommend checking their store locator for a retail location near you (I don't believe you can order their products online if you're in the US, but I'm not sure about other countries).

If you're in San Diego: The Face Shop is located inside the new Zion Market (Zion moved from their old location about a month ago). Zion Market is located on the corner of Clairemont Mesa Blvd. and Convoy, in the same building that used to be the old Kmart. Just go into the food court section where the cosmetic counters are (and of course check out the dozens and dozens of Korean BB and CC Creams!) and toward the back of the food court you'll see The Face Shop.

So when I was at The Face Shop, I picked up three glitter toppers ($6 each) and one milky glitter ($4) and some cosmetic items which I will review in the future (yesterday I posted some preview pics on Instagram of the makeup I purchased). I was so excited to swatch these polishes that I basically did it in the middle of the night last night--take a peek!

My 10DollarMall.com haul (with a special alert for San Diego readers)

A little while ago, one of you either tweeted me, sent me a message on Facebook or left a comment here on the blog about 10dollarmall.com. If it was you, please leave a comment here so I can thank you! I meant to post your tip when I received it but, as often happens around here, thing got crazy with the new LE releases and I proceeded to lose control of my in-box. My apologies, and again please leave a comment here if it was you!

For those who don't know, 10dollarmall.com is a discount website for clothing, accessories and makeup. Right now they have a ton of NYX products on their website, and shipping is only $1.99 (free if you spend $50 or more).

And if you live in San Diego (like me), you may not be aware of this already, but all of the Everything Under $10 stores in the San Diego area have changed over to 10DollarMall.com retail locations! I visited a few of them here in San Diego over the weekend and I thought I'd share my haul with you in case you're in SD too.

Note: the items I'm about to show you are not on the website--they're in-store only. Sorry for those outside of San Diego, but you can get some of these items at other retailers and beauty supply stores, so hopefully it's still helpful!

Kleancolor Nail Lacquers in Chunky Holo Black, Chunky Holo Clover, Chunky Holo Bluebell, Nail to Toe Nail Art in Popping Green
(retail: $0.99 each at 10DollarMall.com retail locations)

I have no idea why that first shade is named Chunky Holo Black since there's no black in this color (as you will soon see). But anyway, the 10DollarMall.com locations in San Diego have a nice selection of Kleancolor polishes and a separate rack of Kleancolor Nail Art polishes in lots of colors and finishes. All of the Kleancolor polishes are $0.99 each.

Keep reading to see what else I got (and some swatches)...

San Diego readers: Get thee to GTM now!

If you're in San Diego, then stop what you're doing and head over to GTM. Right. Now.

If you've never heard of GTM, it's an indie close-out store with two locations. If you're not in San Diego, you can also buy some of their products online--here's a link to their beauty section. I was at the Lemon Grove location yesterday so I cannot tell you if the following deals can be found at the Santee location but it never hurts to try, if you're closer to the Santee location.

Haul pics!
(Excuse the quality of these photos--I took them in a hurry)
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes in Candy Coral and Plum Wine: $1.99 each
(regular retail price at Walgreens: $8.49)

More mind-blowing haul pics, after the jump...
