CVS Pharmacy® Makes Korean Beauty More Accessible Than Ever
K-Beauty Has a New U.S Headquarters as 100+ Products Curated by CVS Pharmacy and Korean Beauty Expert Alicia Yoon Launch in 2,100 stores Nationwide
WOONSOCKET, R.I. (March 30, 2017) – CVS Pharmacy is making the trend-setting world of Korean beauty more accessible than ever before, with the launch of the new K- Beauty HQ at 2,100 CVS Pharmacy stores nationwide, making this one of the largest Korean beauty initiatives globally.
More than 100 new products from South Korean beauty brands, some of which will be exclusive to CVS, will be available at the CVS Pharmacy K-Beauty HQ, rolling out this spring. CVS Pharmacy partnered with the world’s most notable Korean beauty expert, Alicia Yoon, to curate the expansive selection of ahead-of-the-curve skincare and makeup innovations from seven different brands. Yoon, founder of the influential Korean beauty e-retailer Peach & Lily™, helped curate this selection through the lens of her more playful and fun retail concept, Peach Slices™.
“We are very excited to bring the latest global beauty phenomenon to CVS Pharmacy with our own exclusive K-Beauty offering, developed uniquely with our customers in mind. Increasingly, we’ve seen our customers turning to CVS Pharmacy for healthy beauty – from advanced skincare to naturals – and for products that are inspiring, fun and new,” said Alex Perez-Tenessa, Vice President of Merchandising for Beauty and Personal Care at CVS Pharmacy. “With the launch of the new K-Beauty HQ, we’re able to deliver an extensive collection of new, on-trend products across healthy skincare and playful beauty, further establishing CVS Pharmacy as the leading health and beauty destination.”
CVS Pharmacy’s curated selection features innovative, eye-catching and easy-to-understand products, including benefit-focused masks, multi-step skincare regimens, whimsical cosmetics and innovative ingredients like egg oil, snail mucin and more.
“I’m thrilled to be involved in this launch as CVS Pharmacy is creating one of the largest K-Beauty programs in the world. While Korean beauty has been steadily growing in popularity, there are still so many people who cannot easily access Korean beauty products so this launch will really bring the products to everyone,” said Yoon. “CVS Pharmacy’s focus on health and beauty is at the core of Korean beauty ideals, and the products specially curated for the K-Beauty HQ will delight and deliver results at a great price.”
Yoon will also launch her NEW beauty brand, Peach Slices™, exclusively at CVS Pharmacy which transforms the retail concept of making K-beauty lighthearted, easy and effective into products. Yoon’s Peach Slices™ brand will include nine K-Beauty products that put a clever spin on innovative, gentle and natural ingredients like honey and yuzu, and the line’s natural cotton masks feature no harsh chemicals, dyes, alcohol, parabens or sulfates.
In addition to Peach Slices™, select new K-Beauty brands will also be available for the first time in the U.S. exclusive to CVS Pharmacy:
- Waterless fruit-based Frudia skincare with supercharged formulas that feature only active ingredients for intense, targeted skin health benefits
- Elisha Coy with naturally-derived effective ingredients such as snail mucin to help replenish skin’s moisture and support cell regeneration
- Pore-focused JJYoung by Caolion Lab, harnessing the popular Caolion brand’s renowned laboratories in new formulas that steam and cool for facials on-the-go
- Ariul EGG Collection with new-to-the-U.S. egg oil to help reduce inflammation, boost elasticity and fight free radicals for a radiant, brighter complexion
Rounding out the K-Beauty offerings, a collection of best-selling Korean beauty brands will become even more accessible with their presence at CVS Pharmacy, including:
- Best-selling mask brand Ariul with a juice-cleanse inspired line, free of parabens, mineral oil, artificial coloring and triethanolamine (TEA)
- The Saem natural products with potent ingredients sourced from around the world including mineral-rich water from Iceland and soothing waratah from Australia
- Whimsical Holika collection with the Sanrio-inspired Gudetama peeling gels, oil to foam cleansers and more
Shoppers can learn about and explore the new Korean beauty lines via in-store education, making exploration and browsing easy, and a dedicated hub on CVS.com will offer in-depth information on the K-Beauty trend, key products, ingredients and more. The new K-Beauty HQ will be rolling out beginning April 2017 at CVS Pharmacy locations nationwide and online at www.cvs.com.
CVS sent me image files for all of the products that will be launching in their new K-Beauty HQ, but there were so many images that I just pulled a few from each brand to include in my collage at the top of this post. There are so many more interesting products heading our way (masks, facial cleansers, scrubs, moisturizers, eye creams, toners, serums, hand creams, cosmetics and more), and I can't wait to get my hands on some (OK, a lot) of these new goodies. I love that we'll be able to use Extra Bucks towards K-Beauty purchases to help bring the cost down, and (hopefully) there will be some nice sales, as well.
I'd love to hear your thoughts about this news. And if you've already spotted the new K-Beauty HQ at your local CVS, please let us know!
Great news!
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited about this. Thanks for sharing.

Cue the Hallelujah chorus!
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS SO EXCITING THAT I HAVE TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS! Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see try some of these out. My cvs is really good about getting new collections
ReplyDeleteOh! So very cool! 😎 I been dying to try some snail saliva stuff! And moisterising masks, etc. I'm in danger I know I will fall for all the cuteness whimsical stuff. I'm so much in trouble I'm surrounded by every freaking convenient store in my area living in LA I'm next to Mar Vista/Culver City. Have Rite AIDS, CVS, Target, Walgreen. Ouch to my pocket here I come!...
ReplyDeleteThis is exciting! I can hardly wait to try out CVS' K-beauty offerings!
ReplyDeleteCan you share what toners will be available?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update G! Grab your wallet and run for your life! I'm a K-Beaty addict. I've been using the multi step program for a few months now and my skin has been transformed. That's not easy to do at age 47. Cosrx and Benton are my favorite brands but it will be fun to have a look at the new CVS collection.
ReplyDeleteThis is very exciting news but my small town CVS store is so crammed with products that some collections like MUA are found in endcaps at greeting cards and other unlikely spots and they dropped Milani altogether. It will be interesting to see where this collection shows up!
ReplyDeleteThis is Great I haven't got to try very much of it. I have a CVS store here actually on the smaller side and takes a while to get new products but I'm in no hurry. Can't wait to start seeing it. At CVS with sales and extra bucks sometimes u can get products for almost free. Because u can do separate checkouts for products and add the extra bucks to the next purchase while there in one swoop. I did it with the new L'Oréal. Lay shampoo and cond. I made three purchases. The last being the shampoo and cond. so I got the set for less than a $1. I had a $2 coupon also. It was Great. So play the coupons and sales and u can save a lot. Thanks so much for letting us know. I wouldn't have had any idea. Ur the Best.
ReplyDeleteI just want some of those awesome Korean SPFs! Every Asian sunscreen I have tried is so much easier to apply and feels much less goopy/greasy than any other sunscreen available in US drugstores now. This is good news!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous news! However, I wonder -- will we receive word on which, if any, of these brands is cruelty-free?
ReplyDeleteK-beauty is my favorite so I am super happy to see k-beauty related news on my favorite blog (nouveau cheap of course). Not sure how to feel about the CVS expansion though because, for example, Target only opted to carry relatively expensive brands so I'm not sure CVS will be any different. Also the CVSs in my area are kind of sad so I almost doubt I will ever see anything more than a few sad sheet masks at an end-cap or on the lowest shelf in the furthest corner.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me wish I lived closer to a CVS!
ReplyDeleteI peeked in CVS.com and the kbeauty products are already there it just says "out of stock for delivery". Waiting for April to come so it will be available! I cannnotttt wait! :)
ReplyDeleteJust an FYI, don't start saving the extra bucks now. My store won't honor them past the expiration date.
ReplyDeleteThe Holika brand is peeking my interest. Oil to foam cleanser? Yes please!
ReplyDeleteI noticed this at my cvs last week. It's almost a full one side of an aisle. This is cvs encino California. A lot of sheet masks. From what I recall prices were not too bad.
ReplyDeleteDo you happen to have a picture of the display? I'm dying to see it! It's not in my CVS yet.
DeleteMy CVS doesn't really carry anything exciting, they don't even do LE displays anymore, so I'll just be cautiously optimistic for now.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I'm so happy. My mom works for CVS so I use her employee discount everytime I go to CVS. Here's yet another reason to go there.
ReplyDeleteDangit, my nearby CSV doesn't seem to be carrying any of these in San Diego. I really hope they get those JJYoung items in ASAP because I love the steaming and cooling masks they have! Also been dying to try that Bubble mask as well!
ReplyDeleteThere is a new CVS being built in the town next to mine and I hope they will be carrying these items. There are not very many CVS stores in the southern area of Denver.
