Spotted: L.A. Colors Holiday 2014 Gift Sets

I've you've seen my recent Holiday 2014 drugstore gift set posts, then you know that we're officially in "Look Up" season at the drugstores. In short, that means that the annual flood of beauty-related gift sets are now hitting drugstores, and sometimes you can only find them by looking up to the higher shelves outside of the beauty department. Retailers often run out of room in the beauty department for all of these types of sets, so search the entire store and don't forget look high up above the regular shelves.

I was "looking up" the other day at Rite Aid and spotted a ton of  L.A. Colors makeup and nail polish gift sets that I wanted to share with you (NOTE: these should also be popping up at other retailers--I don't believe any of these are exclusive to Rite Aid in case you don't have a Rite Aid in your town). So let's get to it!

L.A. Colors Infinite Eyeshadow 100 Color Palette
(retail: $9.99)

Keep reading for a look at lots of other Holiday 2014 gift sets now popping up in stores...

L.A. Colors Infinite Eyeshadow 100 Color Palette
(retail: $9.99)

I know that L.A. Colors had a 100-color palette last holiday season, but I don't know if it was the exact one you see here (if you purchased last year's version, I'd love to know if it's the same as this one!).

L.A. Colors On the Cover Beauty Book
(retail: $4.99)

L.A. Colors 24 Shade Eyeshadow Palettes
(retail: $2.99)

I know I have seen (and probably posted about) these palettes before--I think they came out last summer (or two summers ago) for a limited time at Rite Aid. So if you missed them then, they're back!

L.A. Colors Lip Sync 8-Piece Lipgloss Set
(retail: $4.99)

L.A. Colors Chunky Lip Pencil 6-Piece Set
(retail: $4.99)

Now this set is not new--I've posted about it before, but it's back for the holidays. I know that you can purchase the Chunky Lip Pencils individually at Dollar Tree, but if you want the full range, you're saving $1 by buying this set versus buying all of these shades at Dollar Tree. You could of course save even more if you wait until Rite Aid runs a sale on holiday gift sets (they'll eventually be 50% off as we get closer and closer to the holidays) and I'm almost positive there will be some Black Friday sales that will include gift sets (Rite Aid tends to do that every year). And of course you can always use +UP Rewards to bring the cost down as well.

L.A. Colors Color Bonanza 18-Piece Mini Nail Polish Set
(retail: $9.99)

The annual 18 piece mini polish set is here! One of you mentioned that you thought this year's set was better than last year's, and now that I've seen this in person I completely agree. There are some really cute glitters in this year's set. Here's a close-up of my favorite one:

Milky blue-gray jelly with matte white and blue hex glitters

L.A. Colors Cosmic Effect 4-Piece Nail Polish Set
(retail: $2.99)

This set includes four full-size polishes: two metallics and two glitters.

L.A. Colors Bowtastic 9-Piece Nail Design Kit
($4.99)

This set comes with 3D bows, 5 mini polishes, 1 mini top/base coat, a double-ended dotting tool (this is the exact dotting tool that I personally use and love) and cuticle stick.

L.A. Colors Bows & Bling 12-Piece Sets
(retail: $4.99 each)

These sets are different than the one above since you get more than just bows in terms of nail embellishments (but no dotting tool or top/base coat).

L.A. Colors Candy Stripes 9-Piece Nail Design Set
(retail: $4.99 each)

This set includes mini nail colors, striping polishes, top/base coat, nail file and nail guides to make your candy stripes.

What do you think of this year's L.A. Colors and L.A. Girl holiday offerings? Have you seen any of these sets in your area? Or maybe other sets from L.A. Colors or L.A. Girl not featured here? I'd love to hear from you!

  2. There is also a 5$ eyeliner pencil set available at Walgreen's, include some unusual colors for drugstore eyeliner like red and yellow. I purchased it, but at this time I can't take any pictures due to being away from home. I think it was a set of 10 eyeliners though.

  3. I love the Chunky lip pencils so the lip set is a definite buy for me. I don't think I have seen that purple shade before at Dollar Tree, so that's one of the reasons why I really want it. The 24 eyeshadow palette has some great shades for only $2.99. Looking forward to finding these gift sets.
