Spotted: Walgreens Disney Dare to Dream Collection (Pocahontas/Mulan/Ariel Bags, Nail Polish & Makeup)

UPDATE: close-up pics of the makeup and nail polish in this collection added to post.

If you caught my quick post yesterday about this new collection, then you might be happy to know that the ENTIRE collection is now starting to pop up in Walgreens stores! I haven't even found the new Disney Belle collection (CLICK HERE  for pics and swatches) at my local Walgreens stores yet, and now this. I can't keep up, I tell ya!

PLEASE NOTE: I just noticed that the Disney Belle collection makeup and bags are finally available on Drugtore.com (only the bags are currently available on Walgreens.com), so if you haven't been able to find those items in-store, you can now order online. I'm guessing that this new Dare to Dream collection will also be available on those websites in the very near future.

Walgreens Disney Dare to Dream collection

The Walgreens Disney Dare to Dream collection contains products featuring three different Disney Princesses: Pocahontas, Mulan and Ariel (this is a completely different collection than the Ariel collection from Summer 2014). There are cosmetic bags, nail polish and makeup in this collection, and I have lots of pics to share with you thanks to some kind readers, so let's get right into it!

Spotted at Walgreens: Limited Edition Disney Elsa (Frozen) Collection

Updated 2/28/15 with pics and swatches of the e.l.f. Elsa collection.

Walgreens is really running with these special limited edition Disney collections! I showed you the new, permanent SOHO Beauty Disney Princess makeup brushes a little while back, but did you know that there is also a brand new Elsa (Frozen) limited edition collection now popping up in stores? I sure didn't, but thanks to two lovely readers, I have some pics to share with you today!

Holiday 2014 Nail Polish Sightings from Sinful Colors, Bonita Colors and More

I've got a lot to cover in the post so let's get right to it!

First up, as predicted when I first posted about the Sinful Colors Holiday 2014 Collections that started to pop up in these individual counter displays a while back, there's a new holiday end-cap display now showing up at Walgreens (if you catch this today, 10/18, you can still take advantage of the $0.99 Sinful Colors sale that ends tonight at Walgreens).

Thanks to reader Rita for sharing this pic of the holiday display at Walgreens:

Spotted! New Orly Color Blast line (40 shades + 7 treatments)

Here's something interesting for you! After a quick Google search, I discovered that in 2011, Orly came out with a line of polishes for Canadian drugstores called Color Blast by Orly. I believe this was sort of an offshoot line for drugstores in the same vein as Nicole by OPI is for OPI. I don't think this line lived for very long because, in 2012, I noticed that various nail bloggers were posting swatches of shades from the Color Blast by Orly line that they found at places like Ross and TJ Maxx. But I could be wrong about that--if you're in Canada, please let us know if this line is still available there?

There's a good photo here of what the bottles from the original line looked like. As you're about to see, the NEW Orly Color Blast line has a completely different bottle, and the name of the line has changed slightly as well (it was "Color Blast by Orly" and now it's "Orly Color Blast").

If I were to make a guess (and this is just a guess), I would say that this is, as mentioned above, Orly's new offshoot brand for the drugstore/mass market in the same way that OPI has Nicole by OPI. The pricing is similar to the difference between OPI and Nicole by OPI (just a few dollars) but more on that in a moment!

I'm going to start with pics of the entire display that's now popping up at Kmart stores (by the way, Kmart has REALLY redone its cosmetics/nail polish department recently and added a bunch of new brands/products, so if you haven't stopped by Kmart in a while, it's definitely worth a trip--I'll be doing another post on that later).

These pics are courtesy of longtime reader Allison (@allibally on Instagram). Allison found this display at her local Kmart recently (NOTE: longtime reader JenJen just told me that she spotted this display at her local Meijer recently, so it's not exclusive to Kmart and you might be able to find it at other retailers in your area soon):

Swatches: Orly Starburst and Milky Way from the Spring 2014 Galaxy FX Collection

In honor of the BOGOFREE sale on all polishes except for OPI currently happening at Sally Beauty (now through 2/27--click here for details), I wanted to get some swatches up of the polishes I purchased a few weeks ago at my local Sally. In this post, I'll be showing you two of the Orly polishes I purchased from the Spring 2014 Galaxy FX Collection. I purchased these when Sally Beauty was having a 2/$11 sale on Orly, but the BOGOFREE sale is even better, since I think these retail $10 each. Let's take a look:

Review: NEW Orly Matte FX Matte Flakie Top Coats

In the world of nail polish, rarely does a new product come along that 1) is a time-saving solution and 2) produces a really cool effect on the nail.  When I spotted the new Orly Matte FX Flakie Top Coats at a local beauty supply last week, I immediately though that these might actually do both (save time and look really darned cool on the nail). So naturally I bought them both, to find out for myself!

NOTE: As of the time of this post, the Matte FX collection is now available on the Sally Beauty website. There are four polishes total in the collection. The other two are Iron Butterfly (matte multi-chrome)  and Purple Velvet (matte purple).  My local beauty supply only had the Green Flakie Top Coat and the Pink Flakie Top Coat, but I will definitely review Iron Butterfly and Purple Velvet when I get my hands on them.
