(retail: $9.49 at CVS)

This comes in both washable and waterproof formulas and one end is for upper lashes while the other end is for lower lashes. I'm such a huge fan of Maybelline mascaras--I'm almost jumping out of my seat in excitement to try this one!

Have you spotted the new Big Eyes Mascara in your area yet? Oh! I almost forgot! Reader Courtney Johnson said she spotted the Maybelline Color Show Limited Edition Polka Dots Collection at her Walgreens the other day (thanks for that tip, Courtney!). So that's landed too. If you see it, I'd love if you'd share a pic of the display with us (and thanks in advance!).

Thanks so much, Amanda, for the great sighting and pics!

  1. I saw it ("it" being the mascara, not the polish) at BBB/Harmon's yesterday as well. I took a pic but the only place I posted it was IG, lol.

  4. this looks so exciting! Are you going to review it? As a fellow oily eye area girl, your reviews are usually spot on with what I would experience =)

  5. I am a mascara lover, but just like the LashBlasts, there comes a point when I wonder what the difference is between ALL the others. Am I the only one?

    1. all the maybelline mascaras have different wands so the formulas could also end up being different in that way. for me, i can tell the differences between each maybelline falsies. as for covergirl, the only lastblast with a waterproof formula is lashblast volume, i've tried all the CG ascaras until they stopped making waterproof versions. most mascaras have similar brushes (the only unique/different brushes are the flamed out and clump crusher).

lashblash volume is the only one i'd ever repurchase, only because there's a waterproof formula and it does work well. i don't know why CG doesn't want to have waterproof versions :(, but I am never buying covergirl mascaras again (at least until they come out with waterproof lol.) for me, maybelline delivers the waterproof formula for every mascara they come out with, which i am thankful for because they're very good.

i'm sorry for being long winded lol. i'm also tired of mascaras, but covergirl is my issue. CG is just not giving use straight-down lashed gals a chance, lol x_x.

    2. Thanks for such a thoughtful response. I tend to give certain brands the side eye when each new product is still called "The Falsies," or whathaveyou with just a different sub-title.

I feel your straight down lash problems, too.

  6. I also saw the new Maybelline mascara AND the new Covergirl clump crusher extensions mascara at my CVS (and we usually get things late). Can't wait to try them out!

  7. This looks like it has a lot of potential. Especially with the small brush for the lower lashes. It also kinda seems expensive for Maybelline, but of course I'm gonna have to try it!

  8. I agree that the price point is high, seeing Maybelline usually retails for $5 to $6. I have the best luck with Maybelline, so I'm hoping for a killer Rite Aid sale.

  9. The Falsies (original) waterproof is my favorite mascara...I'd definitely like to try this out. I don't have much in lower lashes, but maybe this would help!

  11. Does this have the same formula as the original falsies, just with 2 different brushes? Would love a comparison!

  12. I got the mascara the other day at walgreens. It was behind the beauty counter and I asked my connections if I could buy it. She said yes! Wooh. So I'm going to try it soon. I haven't tried anything from the falsies line. So...oh wait. I tried cat eyes. But that was the colassal line wasn't it? Hmmm.

  13. Hi! I spotted the Polka Dots in Montreal, Canada, but wasn't tempted the least bit. In my humble opinion the Hard Candy version looks A LOT better…!!

  14. I've been using it for about a week. I can't believe more brands haven't come out with the small brush/big brush thing. People loooove teeny brushes for the lower lashes. I like the mascara. the big brush formula/brush combo makes it a tiny bit clumpy, but overall it's really nice. I got the washable formula and it doesn't smudge or travel down below my lower lid, so that's always nice.
