Reader Helen spotted and purchased this at her local Walgreens. This is NOT the same BB Cream as the one I purchased--as you can see, this one contains sunscreen (the L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream does not). I really would like to try this one when I'm done testing the Magic Skin Beautifier (which I'll be reviewing soon). If you've tried the Youth Code BB Cream, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
PS: Readers have said that the Youth Code BB Cream is located in the SKINCARE aisle, not the makeup aisle, in case you'd like to buy it.

New Suave Limited Edition Seasonals Guava Passion Flower Body Wash
Reader Lisa spotted the new Suave Limited Edition Body Washes at
Walmart. These come in two fragrances:
Berry Bliss, which Lisa says is a mixture of strawberry, blackberry and
maybe raspberry, and the second is Guava Passion Flower, which is the
one Lisa purchased above.

Revlon Cool Crackle Collection
Alright, so remember back in February when Revlon released their crackle polish duos? I think we probably all thought that collection was going to be the last of Revlon and crackles, but NO! If you still have a craving for crackles, here's a new display for you!

This is VERY exciting news, folks! Brie found these at Walgreens the other day, and the palette on the right is THE EXACT PALETTE that I mentioned in my Urban Decay Naked Palette dupe post! How awesome is that??
PS: Both of the eyeshadow palettes in this display are listed as Limited Edition on the e.l.f. website, but their names keep changing. At first they were called the Holiday Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palettes. Now on the website they're just called the Limited Edition Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palettes. But as you can see in this photo, the packaging reads: "e.l.f. Eyeshadow Palette" and then underneath it says "32 Piece Cool/Warm Eyeshadow Set". But make no mistake, these are all the SAME palettes, regardless of the name changes/tweeks.

New Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Mascara
The older Georgia May Jagger gets, the more she looks like her father to me. You can see it in the mouth especially. Beautiful!
Anyway, is it just me or does it seem like Rimmel releases 100 new mascaras per year? Not really, but they do release quite a few every year!

ReplyDeleteI just bought two Essie Metallics in CVS today (Penny Talk and Blue Rhapsody) and I'll be returning them both tomorrow. While in the bottle they look beautiful, they smudge like crazy (I know that metallic formulas tend to do so, however I HOPED Essie would figure it out somehow and make it better LOL). I bought 3 from the metallic collection and although they are beautiful colours I had the same problem with them. Huge essie fan but these ones are horrible.

I picked up the new SoftSoap bodywash in Tropical Twist and it smells like tropical fruit gum. Not very citrus-y at all.

ReplyDeleteFinding the ELF palettes is great, but what blew me away was that they were found at Walgreens... since when is Wags carrying ELF? Anyone know the quality of these? I recently bought two of their $1 quads and was not impressed. Super chalky, but very pigmented which led to a big muddy mess.
ReplyDeleteWalgreens has actually sold elf in the past. I think the last time I posted sightings pics of elf at Walgreens was last Christmas, so it looks like they're on a seasonal cycle. Hope that helps!

ReplyDeleteI bought three of the Essie Mirror Metallics and have only swatched one so far, Penny Talk. I like it. Using one coat of polish was enough, and with a base coat and a good fast-drying top coat, it was fine. The other two colors I got are the light blue and light purple and want to try those very soon.
Oooh,, interesting! So I guess these work best as one-coaters then, eh?
DeleteThey do for me. I found that the more I tried to "work" the polish, the worse it looked. One coat, with as few brushstrokes as possible, was best, and definitely use a top coat. I love them! I swatched the blue one, Blue Rhapsody, yesterday and like it even more than the copper.
DeleteThe Youth Code BB Cream is 2.5 oz, which when compared to the .9 oz size of the Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream, makes the Youth Code cheaper per ounce.

BTW, when I purchased the Youth Code on Sunday, it was at Wags on sale for $13.49. I don't know if that sale is going on elsewhere or not.

ReplyDeleteIf only Garnier would put sunsscreen in the moisture gel it would be perfect (as long as the SS didn't make it greasy!) I can't wait to try the new dry skin one! I hope the formulation has less alcohol than the current one!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who has major issues with most sunscreens, I hope they don't. Or at least make another formula option so we have a choice. It would make the product unusable for me. :)
DeleteI purchased the Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex mascara. It reminded me a lot of the Maybelline Mega Plush mascara. I blogged a review and comparison swatches of the two. Feel free to check it out if you'd like. For my short and straight lashes, I prefer Maybelline's, but you might choose differently depending on what you want the mascara to do.

ReplyDeleteI'm really hoping to find that Soft Soap Coconut Island shower gel. I just got their Coconut & Warm Ginger hand soap and it smells AMAZING. One of the best coconut scented bath products I've ever tried, so I'm kind of hoping the shower gel smells kind of like it.
