My amazing reader Andrea just spotted the new LE Spring/Summer display from Revlon, and I think it might make many of you very happy. The display contains three LE Super Lustrous Lip Balms (retail: $8.99), and one of them is a SHEER PALE BLUE with microglitter! How about that?
Andrea writes:
LE for Spring/Summer according to the beauty department associate. 3 shades were available, Peach Crystal which is a sheer peachy/coral with microglitter. Dont know the names of the other two shades as they were sold out, but they are a sheer pale blue with microglitter (yes, blue!) and a hot pink. Packaging is in potform with a brush!

According to Andrea, this is a thicker balm (thicker than Vaseline) and the balm "smells of fruit/sweet sugary concoction and no taste."
As for the rest of this LE display, Andrea said there were bright, vibrant eyeshadow singles and polishes. She believes the polishes were yellow and blue, and that there was also a yellow eyeshadow. Exciting!

Have you spotted the new LE Spring/Summer display from Revlon in your area yet? If so, have you purchased anything? Are you excite about these lip balms, the new yellow polish and a new yellow eyeshadow?
PS: I had this nagging feeling that we had already seen LE lip balms in pot form from Revlon in the past, so I dug through my archives and I guess I was wrong. The closest thing I could find was those little eye/cheek/lip balm palettes from last fall. Remember those?
Oh boy I want to see these in action! I hope I find them near me or someone else does and posts the colors!

ReplyDeleteI am getting more and more intolerant of products in jars, especially lip products because it's a hassle to drag a lip brush around. The fact that these come with one attached is really exciting. I will definitely buy at least one! Thank so much G and Andrea!
ReplyDeleteThe nail polishes are a pale blue called "Lagoon" I believe, a a pastel/Easter-y yellow, and an orange called "Tangerine".

it kind of reminds me of the R&R lip balm. except the brush is more portable. the R&R one is crazy!

I'm excited to try this new lip balm but, ugh, $8.99 for a drugstore lip balm is kind of steep. I haven't spotted the display yet but when I do hopefully there'll be a Revlon sale going on.

ReplyDeleteHow cute is the brush IN the lid?? I can't stand lip products in jars because I feel it's unsanitary sticking my fingers in them, but with a brush, I'm all for that! I'm gonna wait for a sale at Walgreens and then probably snatch one up. :)

ReplyDeleteI am definitely excited to try these! Although Revlon did come out with something similar to these lip balms.. It was white packaging with pink around the lid.. It also came with a brush..I still have it and love it.. I LOVE your blog! My husband may not bc I spend too much money lol!
ReplyDeleteWhile it's fabulous they included a brush, I think I'll have to pass. I've never been a fan of potted lip balms--not really a fan of the consistency.
ReplyDeleteThe brush is a lovely touch - I like the way it fits in. Although the balm itself looks a bit glittery. Perhaps the other shades will be more like my taste :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this!! And tabbie389, I know exactly what you are talking about because I remember being obsessed with those glosses when they were first launched! I loved the texture of them because they were so smooth and moisturizing. They were called the Star Attraction lipglosses and featured a different celebrity (like Halle Berry and Kate Bosworth) for each color collection. ReplyDeleteThere was a limited edition lip gloss in a pot with a lip brush a few years back. It was in a spring limited collection, if memory serves correctly, and the colors were light peaches and pinks. I still have a tiny bit of my peach lip gloss from that collection which I loved and wish was standard rather than limited. That's probably what you are remembering.
