Eye Candy Alert: more Milani Baked Blushes!

If you saw my review of the new Milani Baked Blushes, you know that this is, hands down, my favorite new blush collection of the year. You can read my detailed review here for swatches of the shades Corallina, Rose D' Oro and Red Vino.

Today I'd like to show you five additional shades, which I recently received for review. Note: there is one more shade available in this range, which I have not covered on this blog. That shade is Luminoso, and you can see a great review of that shade with swatches over at Jessi's fab blog, Lacquered, Painted, Polished.

(retail: $7.99 each)

Definitely click the above photo to enlarge--the veining in these blushes is truly gorgeous.

As with Corallina, Rose 'D Oro and Red Vino, all five of the shades above are PACKED with pigment, and each shade is just more beautiful than the next. My favorites for my NC20 skintone are Berry Amore, Dolce Pink and Bellissimo Bronze. Fantastico Mauve needs to be applied with a VERY light hand if you have medium-to-fair skin because that baby is intense and once it's on your skin, it's difficult to tone down. If you have a deeper complexion and you sometimes have trouble getting blushes to show up on your cheeks, give Fantastico Mauve a shot.  Dolce Pink has a BEAUTIFUL gold sparkle running through it that you can't see in my pics, unfortunately. But the gold in this cotton-candy pink makes it wearable for both cooler and warmer skintones.

As with the first three Milani Baked Blushes I reviewed, these five shades all vary when it come to sparkle--some have more, some have less. But as I mentioned before, you can easily control and customize the level of sparkle that appears on your cheeks because I find it very easy to buff away the sparkle if that's your preference. Terra Sole contains the least amount of sparkle and, on the skin, it might was well be a matte because I don't see any sparkle at all on my cheeks. This shade would double as a fantastic bronzer or contour shade as well.

Milani really hit it out of the park with this collection, and I just can't say enough good things about the quality, color options, pigmentation, blendability and staying power of these blushes. You can see my full review here if you'd like more details.

Also, I'd like to add that none of these shades turn muddy on me. I think that's important to note, because sometimes blushes can look fantastic in the pan but then look "blah" when actually blended onto the skin. In my experience, all eight shades I've tried to date look incredible and continue to look incredible throughout the day.

You can find Milani Baked Blushes on the Milani website, CherryCulture.com, Walgreens and wherever else Milani Cosmetics are sold in your area.

Do you own any Milani Baked Blushes? What are your favorite shades? If you don't own any yet, are you thinking about giving them a whirl?

  3. These baked Milani blushes are truly amazing! I only own Rose D'oro but as I find them in my drugstores, I'll keep buying other colors. I think people have been obsessed with them so much, they are sold out everywhere! :)

  4. Thanks for the shout out Ms. G! I just wish they had sent you Luminoso too! It's so pretty! It looks really natural on my pale skin and isn't one of the glittery shades. It has more a sheen than anything else.

  8. Sigh, they're so pretty! I've been wanting Luminoso for weeks now; in fact it's the only shade that I'm seriously interested in. Are you planning on picking it up? I always trust your blush reviews because I know your skintone is similar to mine, and I keep hearing recommendations for NC20s to try Luminoso!

  10. I saw these in my Walgreen today and I seriously melted! my old walgreens I used to go to didn't have milani and my cvs didn't have these blushes or any of the new products milani has released. When I get enough money I will definitely purchase these puppies!

  11. I can't find luminoso anywhere; I gave up. I'm glad Berry Amore looks good on you; it was waaay to warm on my skin. My favorite way to wear these blushes is to mix Rose d'oro and coralina. It makes a beautiful coral color!

Right now, select L'Oreal cosmetics are 2 for $10 - lash serum, all mascaras, eyeliners, etc. And Ulta has a $5 off $10 coupon - http://search.ulta.com/nav/marketing/onlinesurvey5off1011/0

Today I got Beauty Tubes (reg $9.99) and Voluminous Carbon Black (reg $7.99 or 8.99) for $5.38 with tax.

  15. At first I thought they came out with more shades! haha I own all 9 now.

But omg I thought I was going to have to order Terra Sole online but I shockingly found it in my CVS (finally!) yesterday. Of course I picked it up! I'm peeved that CVS has these blushes so overpriced in there... $8.29!! I paid $7.49 at Walgreens & $6.97 at Walmart.

  18. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! I love that Berry shade. I found a couple, which I'll post about tomorrow (I hope). I can't believe the quality from a drugstore line. Of course, Milani never lets us down!

  20. Just *when* is Milani going on sale? So sad I missed the last one, I thought there might be one in the near future, but it seems Revlon is the only one consistently doing BOGO1/2off.

I want those blushes, the baked bronzers and that gel type bronzer in the little jar. Lemmings, lemmings.

  22. does anyone know of a good self tanner? . I want one that will gradually build tan but isnt streaky. i want something that will last more than one day. I was thinking about trying the Loreal one day tinted gel but want something that lasts. Has anyone tried the spray self tanner by loreal sublime bronze?
Oh and i want Dolce Pink and Corralina but the Corralina is sold out and Wags takes a while to restock.

  23. Thanks for the pics! Initially I really wanted these but the shades don't look too suitable for me.. =(

  24. Select Walgreens only have the six shades and I cannot find Terra Sole anywhere. The CVS spots I hit up don't even have them in stock. I can't with them sometimes. Maybe I should talk to the district manager.

  25. These look absolutely delicious. I've got 2 but I think I want to get more.

  26. I picked up Luminoso a few weeks ago. It's the best blush color I have ever purchased. You have to snatch it up as soon as you see it!!!

  27. I just got Fantastico Mauve and I have to say that your review was spot on! (Not that I had any doubt.) So gorgeous! Thank you!

  28. Lovely review-i have Corallina and Red Vino, and now i want a few more. My inner grammar cop has to point something out though-'each shade more beautiful than the next' would mean that the next shade ISN'T as beautiful-in other words, that they get uglier as you go along, which I'm sure is not what you meant. It might make more sense to say 'each shade is more beautiful than the previous', which would mean they get better as you go along :)

  29. Due to CVS having a BOGO 50% off I was considering buying some of these. I have somewhat wide pores by my nose and apple of my cheeks. Lots of glitter in my blush is a big nono for me. Do you consider this blush to be a glitter bomb? I have heard so many great things about it. Would LOVE if I could actually use it.

    Thanks so much in advance!

  30. I recently purchased Luminoso. I use it as a highlighter for my Nc40-45 skin. The color doesn't show up on me. Now I'm eyeing red vino. It looks beautiful. I imagine that it will be pretty on darker skin tone.
