If you thought Sally Hansen was done with the new releases for a while (see the new Complete Salon Maincure Overcoats and I Heart Nail Art Collections), think again! Sit back and get comfy because I've got lots to cover in this post.
Huge thanks to reader Mindy (@mnmendez77 on Instagram) for this sighting. Mindy spotted the new Satin Glam, Sugar Shimmer and Salon Effects Reverse French collections bundled together in a counter display recently at HEB and was nice enough to share:

Sally Hansen Satin Glam, Salon Effect Reverse French and Sugar Shimmer Collections
(retail: $5.99 - $8.49; please note prices may vary from region to region)
These are NEW PERMANENT ADDITIONS to the Sally Hansen line-up (not limited edition).
Let's start with the Satin Glam collection:

There are eight shades in the new Sally Hansen Satin Glam range
(permanent--not limited edition)
As luck would have it, last week my blogging buddy Janine over at Beauty Geeks gave me the heads-up that these were on the way. Definitely check out her post here (she also has some great info and additional pics of the new Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art collection in the same post).
According to Janine's post, the Satin Glam polishes have a "satin-sheets finish" and the formula contains "finely crushed pearl." There are both metallics and mattes in this collection and you can see a close-up of the coral shade above in Janine's post here. Beautiful!

There are six shades in the new Sugar Shimmer range
(permanent--not limited edition)
When Janine first mentioned the new Sugar Shimmers to me, I immediately thought, "So how are these different from the Limited Edition Sugar Coats that came out earlier this year?" Janine informed me that we can basically think of the Sugar Shimmers as “Sugar Coat 2.0." In other words, the Sugar Shimmers are the "next-generation version of Sugar Coats," which were a limited "test edition". The Sugar Shimmers have been "tweaked with added shimmer and texture" and "a 3-D gold-shimmer + sugar-crystal finish." For a closer look at the bottle, check out Janine's post here.

New Salon Effects Reverse French range
(permanent--not limited edition)
Last but not least, we've got (at least) four new Salon Effects Reverse French Nail Strips. I'm guessing that these have a bit of texture to them as well, considering that the display says "texture three ways," with these strips being the third way to add texture to your nails (in addition to the Satin Glam and Sugar Shimmer polishes).

Again, if you'd like to see additional details and photos of the new Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art collection that I showed you a little while ago, check out Janine's post here.
Have you spotted these new, permanent additions to the Sally Hansen line in your area yet? Thoughts?
Thanks so very much, Mindy, for the great sighting and pics. I really appreciate it!
Can't wait to see those Salon Effects in person. Those are my favorite and its been awhile since they've done new patterns, so yeah! Thanks for the great pics. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about the Satin Glam shades - I hope they are similar to the Zoya satins that just got rereleased.
ReplyDeleteI am dying for a better look at those reverse french strips. The bottom left and top right, are they animal print? Regular colors or are they metallic? Did Mindy give you any additional descriptions besides what's in the pic? So jealous of the midwest right now...
ReplyDeleteNice! I'm guessing it wasn't Meijer those based on the price tags - I've never seen any like that there. I could (and hopefully am, since it would mean I have a chance of finding them soon, lol) be wrong though! :)
ReplyDeleteShe just told me these were spotted at HEB. :) I need to update this post.. thanks for the reminder, Jen!
DeleteIt is a great time to be a lacquer loving lady (or lad)!
ReplyDeleteI have some SH $1 off coupons that expire the end of the year. Looks like I am going to put them to some good use!
ReplyDeleteI spotted this display at Harmon in Chelsea NYC today! I hadn't heard anything about these. I bought one Satin Glam (Crystalline) and one Sugar Shimmer (Sugar Plum). The Sugar Shimmers all look gorgeous. Sugar Cloud looks a lot like Sugar Coat Royal Icing. I don't think they're the same, but I'm not sure. I also found the SH Complete Salon Manicure topcoats today, and a new collection of Color Club minis!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to hear what you think of the texture of that Satin Glam when you try it!
DeleteThere's a Harmon in NYC????????? O. M. G. you just made my day!
DeleteWill be there tomorrow on my lunch break

DeleteJust swatched Crystalline, and it is beautiful. Such a perfect Winter polish. It's hard to describe the finish. Sort of a velvety, opalescent sheen which looks fine with two coats, but best with three. A layer of topcoat makes it extra-sparkly. I love this both ways! I tried a thin coat over deep blue, which also looks amazing.
DeleteAs for Sugar Plum, I wasn't wowed by it. It's very matte and full of gold shimmer. I think it was a little too warm or too pale for me. I should have tried the Berried Under. Application is tricky. It must be applied in at least three very thin coats so it dries properly.
Do you have pictures of Sugar Plum?
DeleteSquee! I definitely need those Salon strips now! Thanks to you and Mindy for the updated post & pics.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! It was so sweet of Mindy to go back and get more pics for us! :)
DeleteIs it just me, or does Sugar Cloud look JUST like Royal Icing?
ReplyDeleteI think Sugar Cloud contains more shimmer, but I'll definitely do a comparison when I find it!
DeleteI was just going to ask that!! Maybe they fixed the formula issues everyone complained about?!?
DeleteDefinitely curious about the satins! Is it just me, or do the bottles look a tad retro (1980s retro, anyways)?

ReplyDeleteI NEED all the Sugar Shimmers ! ♥_♥

Sally Hansen is wearing me out. I haven't even had a chance to try any of the stuff I got from the recent Insta Dri, Xtreme Wear, Complete Salon, and Nail Art displays yet. Guess I need to stop working so much so I can swatch more ... but if I don't work, I won't get money to buy new polish. Life is hard. ;)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to mention that if you have Shopko on this area they have bogo free coupons on the complete salon manicure :) they don't have the new lines -yet- but I've noticed they get new and limited edition stuff early and the Shopkos in my area are NEVER picked over! Also they clearance stuff out frequently so you can usually get good deals. Im in northern WI btw.
ReplyDeleteLOVING the reverse french strips. I'm going to have to work on growing my nails out for those puppies.
