In my previous drugstore sightings post, I showed you a pic of these new Profusion 10-pan Eyeshadow Palettes that are popping up at Walgreens right now for $4.99 each. I've heard from a few of you that these are Urban Decay Naked Palette dupes/lookalikes. Longtime reader palette_obsession actually purchased both of these palettes (her screen name is palette_obsession after all!) and was kind enough to share some pics and swatches with us.

These come in two colors: neutrals (Sultry & Neutrals) and cooler smoky colors (Midnight Fever). The boxes are long skinny rectangles just like the UD Naked palettes. They also look like some of the sigma Es palettes. These palettes are only $4.99!! They come with 10 colors, an eyeliner and sponge applicator. They have a decent magnetic closure.

palette_obsession writes:The Sultry & Neutrals palette is a mix of mattes and shimmers. The pigmentation is very good on the shimmery ones, lacking in the mattes. The pencil glides on nicely.

The real winner that I see is the Midnight Fever palette! Omg!! Swatches great! There's one dark grey, third from the end that's pretty chalky.. But wow for $4.99 this palette rocks!! I see some dupes .. The ninth color is similar to Gunmetal in the UD Naked palette and the 5th color is pretty darn close to UD Toasted. There are some other similar colors too! Of course UD is smoother and more pigmented..

Thanks so much, palette_obsession, for the great pics, info and swatches! Looks like I need to add these to the Urban Decay Naked Palette Dupe Master List, eh?
Have you spotted these new Profusion palettes at your local Walgreens yet? Thoughts?

yayy!!! palettes for 5 bucks and under are the best!!
ReplyDeletethis is crazy!!! have to visit walgreens..thanks for the post hun
ReplyDeleteI just saw these yesterday but wanted to see swatches before buying. Thank you so much ladies, looks like I'll be going back for these!
ReplyDeletethank you to share this. checking walgreens right away :)
ReplyDeletehello and hug from Asia
I found this brand at the dollar store recently. It is pretty decent!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so glad I could help! G, you do so much work for us, I am glad to give back a little!! :-D
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!
Coincidentally, I just posted about a Canadian dupe of the Naked palette, would you mind adding it to the dupe list? Thanks G
ReplyDeleteThese remind me of the palettes being sold in Forever 21.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was just thinking!
DeleteI haven't really liked too much from profusion their colors always look so pretty but I'm usually dissapointed no color pay off and chalky. I'm probably gonna pass. I hear that forever 21 has the same dupes for around the same price.
ReplyDeleteI have one of F21's neutral palettes (the one with the round pans) and while I'm not sure if it's a dupe, it's one of my favorite eye palettes. F21's eyeshadow is definitely a steal.
DeleteI bought both of these and did not like them at all. Pigmentation was lacking and texture was awful. I usually love Profusion, but these palettes were a fail (in my opinion).
ReplyDeleteSorry to disappoint but I bought two of these and there is virtually no pigment. Even the shimmers need work, and forget about the mattes. Primer doesn't help. I agree with Louise B - these are a beautiful waste of money.
ReplyDeleteYuck, a lot of those Sultry and Neutral shades look like just shimmer. Honestly, people should just save the money they would have wasted on trying to dupe the Naked palette and BUY THE NAKED PALETTE! I promise, it's worth it!
ReplyDeletei own the naked palette, and find that while the colors are super pigmented and rich, it is hard to achieve a natural look. that is when these palettes are useful.. i am quite pleased with them actually. There are so many affordable options out there- alot of ppl prefer to save their money and play with more cost efficient options..midnight fever is VERY pigmented and stayed on all day when I wore it!

DeleteI just bought these myself, and I like it. Its not as pigmented as UD ( I own both) but the color works and mine were not chalky, the shadows were smooth and silky when I tested them.
ReplyDeleteI don't apply my shadow with a heavy had so these were perfect, when applied with a great brush. Perfect for day wear. For the price, I like them.
I saw these at Walgreens the other day and did not pick them up (b/c I was too excited about finding the Wet 'n Wild Where's the Party palettes). But I am headed back there today on my lunch break to get these now that I hear all of these great reviews. I was skeptical at first. These are going to make AWESOME Christmas gifts, though!
ReplyDeleteI 'almost' bought these today. I saw them about a week ago. I'm trying SO hard to hold onto my money for the Makeup Show here in two weeks!!! I'm soooo weak!!! I didn't purchase today because I did want to wait for some reviews.
ReplyDeletethey sell the palettes at biglots for $4.50, really a good deal!I love them
ReplyDeleteI bought one of the Profusion Color Canvas (Black lace Disc) and it is BEAUTIFUL pigmentation and color. It is a wonderful inexpensive option of a nude palette for $2!!
ReplyDeleteooh i was looking at them but i didnt buy.. i'll def. pick one up for $2!
DeleteI bought the MIDNIGHT FEVER palette tonight at Walgreens; really, such a deal! I have to laugh at myself: I've spent so much on Naked Dupes that I could've easily bought the original! But it's been so fun to find them and since I'm older and my lifestyle is less exciting than in decades past, I enjoy the more natural looks I can achieve with these less-pigmented palettes as palette_obsession_701 and others here have stated. I'm going to try to hold out and wrap it for myself for Christmas!
ReplyDeletepretty....but a bit too simmery for me.
ReplyDeleteI need this! :) especially for 5 bucks what a beargain :D
ReplyDeleteanyone know where I can buy these palettes in Canada?
ReplyDeleteThese are back with new names and different packaging. The Midnight Fever is now called "Shadowy" and the Sultry & Neutrals is called "Bare". They are $5 each at Walgreens.
