Gah! Mr. G is going to kill me for still being at my desk and not in bed right now, but right as I was signing off, I received a message on Facebook from reader Danielle letting us know that the Target Spring Beauty Bag is now up, BUT there's a catch:
Unlike the previous Target Beauty Bags, you'll need to enter a special code in order to sign up for this free beauty bag. How do you get the code? Apparently it will print out on your receipt IF you make a "qualifying purchase" at Target. What is a "qualifying purchase"? I have no idea, but I'm assuming it needs to be beauty-related.
I'm wondering if there will be signs up next to certain items (in-store) that say something like "Qualifies for Spring Beauty Bag" or something like that. If you any of you discover a list of products that qualify for the code, please let us know!
Thanks again, Danielle, for letting us know that the Target Beauty Bag is back!
Target- To receive a beauty bag code, please visit your local store and purchase three or more qualifying beauty items. At that time, you will receive a code via receipt.
ReplyDeleteWha? Three or more items?! That's way too much just to receive a little bag of samples. I mean a birchbox is like 10 bucks for a box of samples..No telling how much the qualifying products would cost.
DeleteThanks. Yes, I saw that too, but it's frustrating that we don't kmow WHAT the qualifying beauty times ARE. :(
ReplyDelete"items" not "times". :)
DeleteThanks for the heads up! I hope that qualifying purchase wouldn't be that much.
ReplyDeleteI emailed them, as I'm sure many are doing right now....
ReplyDeleteCouldn't keep it simple could ya Target? I guess they didn't want to buy a bigger server to handle the traffic that the Beauty Bag generates. lol
Thanks for the heads up!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the qualifying purchases are. I don't like that it has to be 3 items. xP
Well, I'll need to go check that out. I love getting the beauty bags too.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but this is absolutely ridiculous! We have to make a certain purchase and HOPE that we get a code? Gee thanks Target! Wish they would have just kept it simple.
ReplyDeletea code? so stupid.
ReplyDeleteAww. This is really too bad. I'm living overseas right now and my mother mails any little sample things to me. She won't be buying beauty products or get to a Target (which is over 2 hours away from her!).
ReplyDeleteWow this is a huge #FAIL on Target's part! Maybe some lovely person will post the code online and it will work for all of us!!! *fingers crossed*
ReplyDeleteI went shopping yesterday at target have 9 items on my receipt with no code. They dont even state where the code is on the receipt. So stupid. The pic they have is 10 digits. Nothing on the receipt is ten digits!
ReplyDeleteOh and my purchase total was 106.18. F U Target.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me sad. I was in Target today and bought a bottle of nail polish & a nail file. No code for me :(
ReplyDeleteI just went to Target today. This is so silly. They give no real clue as to what to buy.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely ridiculous, what was Target thinking? Why should we have to pay?
ReplyDeleteWell I think that really isn't fair to those of us that don't live anywhere near a Target store...that really sucks. I have yet to get one of these bags! And I was SO excited to see this in your email too...until I saw that little caveat in there. :((
ReplyDeleteI know it's not three Maybelline products because I bought three Tattoo shadows and no code.
ReplyDeleteLadies, please join me in expressing our disappointment over this by writing on Target's Facebook wall. This is crazy! I didn't get the Winter bag because it went so quickly. Let's let Target know how we feel!
ReplyDeleteI didn't enjoy the one I got last year. Maybe if I vacationed a lot and needed samples, but I ended up thinking it was clutter:) I appreciate their willingness to do it, but I didn't need all of the shampoo samples. I got mostly shampoos and conditioner samples in a little makeup bag.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind that they are changing things around this time, but at the very least they should state what the qualifying products are, so loyal customers can make those purchases and get the goodie bag...like many other stores have done before.
ReplyDeleteWhat do they expect us to do...make a ton of purchases in hopes that we get a coupon code? Majority of people who shop at Target are budget friendly folks, therefore I highly doubt customers will want to buy dozens of products every day, in hopes of getting a goodie bag! **Somewhat disappointed**
Now Target via Facebook is saying there will be multiple ways to get the bag....stay tuned. Why are they being so vague???
ReplyDeleteI read on another site, that someone bought 3 coke products and got the code on their receipt...don't know if that's true or not, but WTF? At least tell us what to buy! Also, the closest Target is nearly an hour from me! Yes, MAYBE someone will post a qualifying code for us all to use!! I have been looking...if I find, I will!!! Good luck everyone!
ReplyDeleteI just read this post, ran right to target and there was no signage anywhere. I asked a store employee and they looked at me like I had two heads.. This sucks..
ReplyDeleteIs there a link on Target's website? Can't find it and super confused
ReplyDeleteI bought a mascara, two eyeshadows, and two nail polishes and there is no "code" on my receipt. I asked the cashier about it and they just looked at me weird like.. wtf are you talking about? Oh, well. My target is an hour away, so I can't really try to go back all the time and try things because the bag isn't worth the gas money to the store lol
ReplyDeleteit sucks i bet they will only give out as much codes as they have bags and it comes on a catalina not the reg receipt. so if people who have no clue are getting it and not doing it then that kinda sucks didnt they think of that
ReplyDeleteIt's not qualifying items like the site says. It is actually at random and yes he person who bought the cokes really got the code.
ReplyDeletei purchased 6 beauty items & no code
