Review: Yves Rocher Hydra Végétal Hydrating Micellar Water
As promised, today I'd like to review for you an affordable option when it comes to skincare's Next Big Thing here in the US: micellar waters. Yves Rocher makes a few different micellar waters, but this one seems to have the highest reviews, which is why I purchased it a few months ago. Read on for my thoughts!
NOTE: If you're new to micellar waters and you're not sure exactly what they are, I urge you to check out the second paragraph of my post HERE for a quick definition and some reference material to get you up to speed. Thanks!

Yves Rocher Végétal Hydrating Micellar Water 2 in 1
(retail: $14, 6.7 oz)
This product retails for $14 on the Yves Rocher website, but if often goes on sale (as of the time of this post, it is on sale for $4 on the Yves Rocher site HERE). If you're new to Yves Rocher, they frequently offer shipping deals, gifts with purchase and sitewide sales, so there will always be chances to save on this (and any) product on their site.

New Yves Rocher Limited Edition Cocoa Collection
Attention my fellow Yves Rocher fans! Did you get the email? In case you didn't, check it out:
Cocoa & Pistachio? Yes! I LOVED Yves Rocher's Vanille Pistache edt from many moons ago, so you can be sure I'm going to grab this one ASAP.
And I just had to laugh because the subject line in the email was this:
Subject: Mmm COCOA Collection! Your weakness...
I got this email literally minutes after I posted two back-to-back chocolate-candy-related photos on my Instagram last night. Get out of my head, Yves Rocher!
Anything here catching your attention?
PS: And I just checked to see if this is on sale right now (a favorite of mine and a favorite of many of you) and it's not. So if you're running low, like I am, hopefully it'll be back on sale again soon.
Limited Edition Yves Rocher Cocoa Collection
(retail: $3 - $11.50 on the Yves Rocher website)

Review: Yves Rocher Matte Tri-Tone Eyeshadow and Intense Color Duo Eyeshadow
Unless you're lucky enough to live in a city with an Yves Rocher boutique (*waves to my lovely French and Canadians readers*), ordering from the Yves Rocher website can be a crap-shoot. There's a lack of comprehensive reviews of Yves Rocher products on the internet (especially for their makeup), and sometimes I luck out and find a really good review that convinces me to order something, while other times I roll the dice, throw caution to the wind and hope for the best.
When I ordered these two eyeshadow compacts a while back, I had ZERO idea what I'd be getting. I hoped for the best and was pleasantly surprised by the colors (vs. the swatches on the website, which are always a gamble). So let's take a closer look!

(retail: $19, 0.1 oz)
Yves Rocher Instense Color Duo Eyeshadow in 52832 Prune & Powdery Taupe
(retail: $16, 0.1 oz)
Now before you go saying, "G, why are you reviewing eyeshadows that are almost $20? Have you lost your mind??" let me explain to those new to Yves Rocher. Products on the Yves Rocher website are almost always on sale. And if they're not currently on sale, you literally only have to wait a few weeks and they will be. For instance, the Intense Color Duo Eyeshadows are currently on sale for $9 each (44% off). And I'm betting that the Matte Tri-Tones will be on sale again soon as well. I bought both of these a few months ago when they were on sale and paid half price (or less--I forget exactly how much I paid but I know they were both under $10).

Review: Yves Rocher Les Plaisirs Nature Blackberry Eau de Toilette
I'm prone to placing random Yves Rocher orders (how can you resist their frequent sales and freebies??) and in a recent order I decided to take the plunge and purchase their Blackberry eau de toilette in the travel-size bottle. The Les Plaisirs Nature Collection fragrances come in full size bottles as well ($12), but the cute little travel-size versions are affordably-priced (even when not on sale) at just $6. I like that because, if I'm purchasing something that I've never sniffed before, it's not a huge commitment if it doesn't work for me.
Yves Rocher Les Plaisirs Nautre Blackberry Eau de Toilette
(retail: $6, 0.67 oz)
Again, you can purchase this product on the Yves Rocher website where it often goes on sale. There's also a full-size version (3.4 oz) for $12. You can also get bath cubes, lotion and shower gel in this fragrance--just search "blackberry" on the Yves Rocher website and all of the options will pop up.

Review: Yves Rocher Luminelle Lipstick in Soft Purple
Admittedly, I'm a huge fan of Yves Rocher fragrances and body products but, in my last order, I decided to try some of their makeup products (I'll be reviewing their new BB Cream and some of their eyeshadows soon).
I realize that most of us don't like to place online orders for lipsticks if there aren't many swatches on the internet to get a good idea of the shades and, trust me, there are NOT many reviews for these lipsticks. I combed the internet trying to find swatches and I finally just threw caution to the wind and went with Soft Purple. So I hope that this review helps those of you who have been considering trying one of these lipsticks.

Review: Yves Rocher L'Eau Comme une Evidence
The product featured in this review was purchased with personal funds.
NOTE: There are two version of Yves Rocher Comme un Evidence. There is the original Comme une Evidence, and there is also a lighter, updated version called L'Eau Comme une Evidence. This review is for the lighter, updated version, which I actually wasn't even aware I had purchased (I just went for the travel size since I had never tried this fragrance before) until I sat down to write this review!
When I was a little girl, my mom wore a perfume called Sweet Honesty by Avon. I know that this perfume is still available through Avon, but I've heard that it's not quite the same as the original version which launched in 1973. Anyway, I haven't sniffed Sweet Honesty in decades, but when I ordered L'Eau Comme une Evidence from Yves Rocher back in December, I had no idea that it would evoke such wonderful childhood memories and take me right back to my mom wearing Sweet Honesty when I was little girl.
I have been searching for a fragrance that's in the same vein as Sweet Honesty, but somehow updated and more modern. And this, my friends, is it:
Yves Rocher L'Eau Comme une Evidence Purse Spray
(retail: $12.50 on the Yves Rocher website, 0.5 oz)
This fragrance, along with everything on the Yves Rocher website, often goes on sale. It's not on sale now, but I would wait for the next sale to swing around if you want to try it (the 2.5 oz bottle IS on sale right now for 45% off--$30 instead of $55, but I think that's a lot to spend on something you may have never tried before, so that's why I'm suggesting to wait until the purse size bottle goes on sale again). As you can see, I didn't photograph my bottle before I started wearing it, and I'm about halfway through this bottle now (purchased in December).
When I wear this fragrance, sometimes women stop me on the street to ask me what I'm wearing. I've had a waitress in a restaurant beg me to pull up the Yves Rocher website on her smartphone so that she would know exactly how to buy a bottle. It's definitely one of those fragrances that people gravitate toward because it's soft, feminine, and for lack of a better word, addicting.

Review: Yves Rocher Monoi L'Eau des Vahinés Eau de Toilette
I don't know about you but right before the season changes, I like to start wearing fragrances that remind me of the upcoming season. It's like a boost to help get me in the mindset of the new season--sort of like a little "weather cheerleader."
I realize that I'm fortunate to live in sunny San Diego where it's warm and sunny a bit before other parts of the country, but even if you're in a region that's still experiencing snowy, rainy, chilly weather in March, you can always smell like spring and summer.
And what's my favorite way to do that? Well this darling fragrance from Yves Rocher is sure to get you in the tropical mood in no time. It's a new favorite of mine (I purchased it back in December as part of my happy-birthday-to-me haul). And it just so happens to currently be 50% off on the Yves Rocher website (if you're a regular Yves Rocher shopper, you know they're constantly having sales, so if you miss this one, don't worry--another one will swing around shortly!).
Yves Rocher Monoi L'Eau des Vahinés Eau de toilette
(retail: $32, currently $16 on the Yves Rocher website; 3.3 oz)
If you're new to Yves Rocher, they're an international beauty brand that is probably best known for their extremely affordable, unique and very lovely fragrances (although many people love their skincare, body care, makeup, etc. too). If you don't like wearing fragrances that make you smell like every other person walking down the street, Yves Rocher can be a wonderful little "secret go-to" for unique, high-qualify fragrance without the high-quality price tag. I've been wearing Yves Rocher fragrances for over a decade now, and I'm actually disgusted in myself that it took me so long to discover L'Eau des Vahinés.

Wandering through the Gardens of the World with Yves Rocher
I'm a total bath and body product freak, and I've mentioned many times that B&B products are actually my favorite things to review on this blog.
But when I placed a happy-birthday-to-me order for myself with Yves Rocher last month, I actually didn't plan to review any of the bath and body products that I purchased. It was sort of just a gift to myself. I wanted to indulge and not have my "product testing cap" on, if you know what I mean. Part of being a beauty blogger is that you become hyper-aware of every single beauty product that you buy and use, so as a gift to myself I said, "No testing, no thinking, just fun" when I placed my order. It's been a long time since I ordered body washes from Yves Rocher, but I remember absolutely loving them back in the day. Well, who knew that the two body washes that I ordered would turn out to be so delightful that I just couldn't help but review them afterall.
(Apologies for not snapping photos before I started using these products but like I said, I didn't plan on reviewing these!)
Yves Rocher Jardins du Monde Lime from Mexico Shower Gel
Yves Rocher Jardins du Monde African Cocoa Bean Shower Cream
(retail: $4 each, 8.4 oz)
"Jardins du Monde" means "Gardens of the World" in French. Other fragrances in the Jardins du Monde collection include Lavender from France, Laotian Lotus Flower, Vetiver from Haiti and so on. I selected two of the most popular fragrances in the range (Lime from Mexico is a best-seller on the Yves Rocher site but both of these products have an average customer rating of five out of five stars).
