Burt's Bees products on 50% off clearance at Sears

Leah just shared that ALL Burt's Bees products are currently on 50% off clearance at her local Sears, and that this might be a nationwide sale. I just checked and this clearance is NOT going on online, but if you live near a Sears and you like Burt's Bees, get over to your store ASAP and see what you can find (or at least call your local store and ask them if their Burt's Bees products are on clearance!).

As you know, the much-loved Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Creme retails for $6 at Ulta and most everywhere else, so that's a great deal!

PS: Remember my posts a while back about how Sears was getting rid of their cosmetics department, and they were having those crazy clearance markdowns? Well I just checked the Sears site to see if there were still any great deals to be had, and I did find this one: NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are A DOLLAR right now (sold directly from Sears, not a third-party) and you can elect in-store pickup to avoid shipping fees. Woot! If you have some time, poke around the Sears site and you may still find some other stragglers from the big beauty clearance sale a while back!

Sears beauty clearance update: many products now 50% off!

You may recall that a while back, I posted that Sears was getting rid of their extended beauty department (at select Sears locations and online) and that, both in-store and online, many cosmetics were reduced to 30% off retail.

I heard from several of you that eventually Sears would increase the discount to 50% off, and then eventually 75% off. For the past few weeks, several of you have taken the time to let me know that the clearance reduction has now gone from 30% off to 50% off and I actually just received three tips about this today (thanks!!). I don't know if/when the reduction will go to 75% off but if you see that happen, I would so appreciate the heads-up!

If you live near a Sears that has an extended beauty department, definitely stop by and see what you can find. And if you want to place an order online (you can select the option to have your purchase delivered to your nearest Sears store for free pick-up vs. paying for shipping fees), there are MANY deals to be had:

Massive Sears beauty clearance sale

I've heard from two lovely readers, Dianne and Nancy, that Sears locations with an extended beauty department are closing their beauty departments. I obviously cannot confirm this news because I did not hear this directly from anyone at Sears, but both Dianne and Nancy have shared that the beauty departments at their Sears locations now have the entire department on clearance for 30% off. Reader Dianne mentioned that eventually the discount will be 50% off, and then finally 75% off (again, I cannot confirm this because I did not hear this from a Sears representative).

If you live near a Sears that has an extended beauty department, then you know that they carry brands like Styli-Style, Milani, NYX, Maybelline, Revlon, Burt's Bees, Sally Hansen, etc. The next few weeks could be a GREAT time for a haul.

Spotted: new beauty additions at Sears

If you missed my post from back in April, and you haven't been to your local Sears lately, you might be in for a REAL treat! In a nutshell, according this article, Sears has expanded their makeup department in more than 100 stores and online to include MANY of the drugstore brands we know and love. My pal Maria was kind enough to share with us some of the makeup she spotted at her local Sears recently and all I can say is, WOW!

Sears to feature drugstore beauty brands

Longtime readers might remember a news article I posted back in 2009 about how Sears was planning to open expanded beauty departments in stores located in LA, New York and Chicago. Well, I guess this plan was a hit, because I just spotted the following article today:

Following the success of its 13-store test in 2010, Sears has announced that it now is expanding its in-store cosmetic departments to more than 100 stores and online.

The staffed beauty departments include such mass brands as Revlon, L'Oréal, Maybelline and CoverGirl. The concept also includes nail care from Sally Hansen, Nicole by OPI and Essie, as well as skin care and fragrances.

"We are pleased to offer our customers a comprehensive assortment of the cosmetics, skin care and nail care brands not typically found in department stores at the mall," stated Gary Schettino, VP and GMM of Sears men's apparel and center core at Sears Holdings. "Our foray into beauty creates the perfect complement to our new approach to fashion at Sears. The introduction of affordable and well-known brands is another example of our continued commitment to offer our customers incredible value at a total style destination."

Breaking News: Sears to increase its beauty department...in a HUGE way!

If you are in Los Angeles, Chicago or New York, hold on to your hats because this is huge, huge, huge!!

Beauty and fashion divas will now be able to complete their look, and their total shopping experience, by purchasing their favorite beauty, fragrance, health and wellness products while shopping at Sears. This month, the retailer announced it will debut beauty departments in 13 select retail mall locations in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.

Sears Beauty is designed to offer customer-focused environments that are fun, easy to shop and allow for product testing and consumer education. Sears will be the only mall-based department store to exclusively offer an assortment of mass, specialty and prestige beauty brands.

Under the guidance of brand-trained consultative associates, Sears Beauty will offer an assortment of cosmetics, skin care, bath and body, natural and fragrance products to help consumers achieve their ideal beauty results. Customers will have the opportunity to purchase beauty products from brands such as L'Oreal, Maybelline, CoverGirl, Calvin Klein as well as many others. Sears is also the exclusive U.S. retail partner for Yves Rocher, botanical products from France.

"Sears Beauty is dedicated to providing a whole new way of accessing beauty products in a personalized and approachable way," says Andrea Goldner, divisional merchandise manager, Sears Beauty. "Our goal is to help customers obtain a mix of beauty products, both in store and online, that meet their individual needs and complete their head-to-toe look."


Um, wow wow wow! I have never seen Yves Rocher products in stores before so I cannot tell you how excited I will be if they plan to expand these new beauty departments into every Sears store across the nation!
