Dollar Tree Sighting: Essie Sleek Sticks for $1

Stop the presses! Essie Sleek Sticks? At Dollar Tree? For $1? Yep.

Many thanks to reader Alma @rosamy13 on Instagram for this one! Alma spotted a whopping 12 DESIGNS at her Dollar Tree this week and shared this pic of some of them:

Essie Sleek Sticks at Dollar Tree
(Retail: around $10 each. Dollar Tree price: $1 each.)

To refresh your memory, when these first debuted at Walgreens back in 2012, they retailed for $10.25 (PROOF) and they're still around that price at most retailers. If you haven't tried these yet, according to Jen at The PolishAholic, the textured designs are easier to apply than the smoother designs. But hey, at this price, why not experiment with both?

Have you spotted these at your local Dollar Tree yet? There are lots of other great makeup and nail products now popping up at Dollar Tree too--you can see my post from a few weeks ago HERE.

Thanks so much, Alma, for the great sighting and pic!

Target beauty sightings

If you haven't been to Target in a while, there are some interesting things popping up that I thought I'd share with you today. I spotted these products myself over the course of a week, bopping from Targets to Targets in my area, but I have heard from several of you who have also spotted some of these products at your local Target stores, so you should probably be able to find these in your area too!

First up, some Target-exclusives:

Spotted: Essie Summer 2014 Neons Collection

The annual summer neons from Essie have arrived! You can see how this year's shades compare to last year's by clicking here. I think I might like this year's a bit more than last year's, although this year's shades don't seem quite as bright and neon-like (more on that in a moment).

Many thanks to my pal Emi of Project Swatch for this one. Emi spotted the Summer 2014 Neons at Rite Aid this week and was nice enough to share pics:

Spotted: Essie 2013 Bridal Collection (Using My Maiden Name)

Reader Alli of Ali McBally just spotted the new Essie Using My Maiden Name Collection and was nice enough to let me share her pic:

Essie 2013 Bridal Collection: Using My Maiden Name

There are just four shades in this collection:

Using My Maiden Name (lavender)
Meet Me at the Altar (lilac)
No Baggage Please (pale pink)
My Better Half (dark pink)

Now, this collection might seem a bit dull to some of you, but you MUST see the swatches of Using My Maiden Name because there's gorgeous pink hidden shimmer lurking in this polish! Click here for swatches of all four shades in this collection (there's shimmer in My Better Half too).

Have you spotted this collection at any of your local drugstores yet? Thoughts? I NEED Using My Maiden Name!

Thanks again, Alli, for the great picture. I really appreciate it!

UPDATE: I just added photos of the full display with all six shades at the bottom of this post.

For many years now (since 2008, at least), Essie has released a collection of "summer neons" each summer. This year's summer neons have just hit Rite Aid and reader Elisa was nice enough to share some pics with us. Take a peek:
