New Morphe Makeup Brush Subscription Box

There's a new beauty box subscription service in town, and this one's by Morphe. In case you haven't heard about this one yet, here's the scoop:

MorpheMe Brush Subscription:
  • $19.99/month or $239.99 annual fee (if you select this option, you'll receive a free Morphe 350 Palette; limited time offer)
  • Each month you will receive "at least $30" worth of Morphe makeup brushes, plus exclusive discounts on Morphe products, first access to new Morphe products, and monthly how-to videos for each brush you receive.

Are you a Morphe fan? If so, are you thinking about signing up (or have you already signed up)? I heard the first box is shipping this week (or already shipped). I'm not sure this one's a good fit for me, since I like to purchase my brushes with a specific purpose in mind. But I would absolutely love to hear from any of you who subscribe to this one!

  3. When I am in Burbank, I drop by the store. I was there a few weeks ago and they have really expanded the location and raised their prices. Prior to that trip, I was last there in July 2014 and they had some amazing deals on brushes. They were getting rid of their Italian Badger line and I got some fantastic brushes. I need another brush like I need a hole in the head so I wont be subscribing. I'd also be upset if I got a "fan" brush because I've never ever used one. I actually bought that 35O palette but I'd like to sell it. I was caught up in the " sold out" status online of the palette and the fact I could buy it in the store. I think I'm a little too old for orange shadow. Also, I'm steering away from Made in China eye products. I much prefer shadows from the USA or Italy. The Riesling Romance Ulta 15.00 palette is going back because the shadows are made in china.

  4. I ordered some Morphe brushes from Hautelook and have to admit I'm disappointed. The bristles fell out and I couldn't get them to blend. :-(. I am a sucker for sub boxes and am thinking of giving another try .... I like that they're trying a new service based on brushes ... Sigma, follow suit! :-)

  5. If you purchase a year subscription to the box, you get a free 35O palette with your first box. I haven't seen it mentioned/advertised.

  6. I don't think that even I could justify getting new brushes each month. I'm at the point where I'll only buy ones that are completely unique.

  7. haha this is funny to me because I have been on a bit of a brush spree lately (Makeup Geek and brush sets from It! and Real Techniques from Ulta's Black Friday sale). I only own one Morphe brush - a stippling brush similar to ELF's small stippling brush. I bought it because it was recommended by a beauty guru. However I am not impressed, it's not firm enough and just bends too easily when pressed into the skin - I think the bristles are to long and flimsy. I was actually just comparing it to the ELF version last night and hands down the ELF is way better, and a better deal at $3 vs. $10. So far Makeup Geek and It! have the softest brushes if you ask me. Even some of the pricey Tarte brushes feel scratchy on my face - they feel soft if I just run my fingers through them but in practice they are not totally soft. If I can really rub a brush all over my neck and not feel any scratchy-ness that's how I know it's really truly soft!
