Many thanks to reader Judy (@judycyang on Instagram) for sharing these pics of the new Bite Holiday 2015 Beauty Discovery Set, which she spotted at her local Sephora Inside JCPenney this week:

Bite Beauty Holiday 2015 Discovery Set
(retail: $55 at Sephora Inside JCPenney locations)
Now the price is a bit steep on this one, compared to the things I usually post about here on Nouveau Cheap, but keep reading for the breakdown of what you get (spoiler: there's definitely a significant cost-savings here!)...

This is a bit difficult to read, but I enlarged this photo on my computer and was able to make out the following info:
- Deluxe Agave Lip Mask in Natural
- Deluxe Matte Créme Crayon in Glacé
- Deluxe Line and Define Primer
- Lip Wipes (five single-serving packets)
- Luminous Créme Lipstick in Pepper
- High Pigment Lip Pencil in Pomegranate
- Lush Fruit Lip Gloss in Honey
- Bite Mirror
So you get three full-size lip products, three deluxe samples, five single-serving Lip Wipes and a mirror in this set. Let's break down JUST the retail price of the full-size items:
- Luminous Créme Lipstick in Pepper ($24 at Sephora)
- High Pigment Lip Pencil in Pomegranate ($24 at Sephora)
- Lush Fruit Lip Gloss in Honey ($22 at Sephora)
Just these three full-size items add up to $70. So for $55, it's basically like you're paying for two full-size items and getting another full-size item (plus three deluxe samples, five wipes, and a mirror) for free. Not too bad, right? Especially if you're a Bite Beauty fan on a budget!
Again, if you want this one, you'll need to get over to your nearest Sephora Inside JCPenney, since that's where it can be found (call first though, since this is brand new, just to make sure your local store received their shipment).
Thanks again, Judy, for the hot tip on this set, and the great pics! I really appreciate it.
I was wondering when they would have their holiday sets out! Its nice that they have 3 full size lip colors in here. I already have a deluxe sample of pomegranate, so I'll probably pass! Definitely worth the savings though!
ReplyDeleteI just can't think of these as good deals, because I would never pay $24 for a lipstick or a gloss anyway. I don't even pay full price for my drugstore things! If I were paying anything near that much, I would definitely want to pick out my exact colors, also.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see this. If it is too red I will be passing it up, but totally worth looking for to see!
ReplyDeleteIn terms of Bite products, it's a good deal, since I think their cheapest product is $22, and most are $24 or up. They are good products, though. I got a lipstick in the color Zin as a gift last year, and it's fantastic: texture is great, no bleeding, good flavor, etc.
ReplyDeleteI checked 2 SJCP today. Neither had this nor did they know anything about it. So sad. I can't wait to get my hands on it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads-up G. If you are looking for one of these and don't see them, ask. The SJCP I went to had them in a drawer...
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna pass, because I don't like some of the colors. I hope they come out with a mini lipstick duo set again.
