Spotted: Wet n Wild Summer 2015 Limited Edition California Dreaming Collection (Matte Bronzers, Nail Polishes and More)

It's that time again, Wet n Wild fans! The Summer LE collection has landed at Walgreens, and I've got tons of great pics to share with you thanks to reader Annie of Rosy Lipped Beauty Blog and reader Regina on Facebook. Let's take a look!

PLEASE NOTE: Starting today, 4/26, and running through 5/2, Wet n Wild is on sale at Walgreens (don't quote me on that; the sale could be longer but I know it's at LEAST for a week). Products with a regular retail price of $2.99 and above are $1 off. In other words, if a product is normally $2.99, you'll pay $1.99. If a product is normally $4.99, you'll pay $3.99, and so on.

California Dreaming Collection at Walgreens

We've got limited edition Matte Bronzers, Balm Tints (not Balm Stains--Balm TINTS), H20 Liquid Eyeliners, Megalast Nail Colors and more in this collection!

Keep reading for lots of pics (and some swatches, too)...

Both Annie and Regina kindly shared various pics of this display with us (thank you, ladies!), so we have the unique opportunity to see some of these products in photos taken both WITH flash and WITHOUT flash.

It makes more sense for me to go row by row rather than group both of their pics separately, so let's take this row by row.

FIRST ROW:

Limited Edition Mega Slicks Balm Tints (four shades)
Place Sher-bets!, Pack a Punch, Smooth Operator, Don't Be Jelly!
(also: permanent Balm Stain in Coral of the Story)

There are four NEW and limited edition Mega Slicks Balm Tints in this display. Unlike the permanent Balm STAINS, these are tints, so they are sheer, but buildable (you'll see a swatch of one at the end of this post). The fifth shade in this row is one of the permanent Balm Stains (Coral of the Story).

FOURTH ROW:

Limited Edition Color Icon Matte Bronzers (two shades)
Bare in Mind, Toast to You

In this row, we have two limited edition matte bronzers, and the two permanent (shimmery) bronzers.

NOTE: Annie mentioned that the two limited edition matte bronzers both have a rubberized coating on the packaging (like NARS products). You'll see a swatch of one of these at the end of this post.

FIFTH ROW:

Limited Edition Megalast Nail Colors (five shades)
Re: In Carnation, Sky Me Mine, Green Tease, Bee-u-tiful, Sun Settle Down

There are five limited edition Megalast nail colors in this display, plus a new top coat (which you'll see in a moment). These colors REALLY remind me of my favorite Megalast nail color collection of all time, the Bloom collection from Spring 2011--even more so than the Spring 2015 Silver Lake collection

Sun Settle Down, Clear the Air (Top Coat)

As I mentioned above, this top coat is new (I have never seen silver packaging for WnW treatments before!) but I don't know if it's limited edition or a new addition to the permanent line. I'll do my best to find out and report back as soon as I know!

SWATCHES:

Limited Edition Color Icon Matte Bronzer in Bare in Mind
Limited Edition Mega Slicks Balm Tint in Pack a Punch

Annie purchased one of the limited edition Balm Tints and one of the limited edition Matte Bronzers and was nice enough to share some swatches with us. In case you missed it above, Annie mentioned that the compacts for the matte bronzers have a similar rubberized coating to NARS products (not shiny plastic).

Annie also mentioned that the Balm Tint is quite sheer, but can be built up to what you see above. She said that she really likes it so far and that it provides a pretty wash of color on the lips. So just keep in mind that these are TINTS (unlike the permanent Balm STAINS), so don't expect crazy opacity on the first swipe.

If you spot this display at your local Walgreens (I'm GUESSING this collection is exclusive to Walgreens but I'll do my best to get confirmation on that and let you know), remember that starting today, 4/26, Wet n Wild products with a regular retail price of $2.99 and up are $1 off. Great time for a haul!

Have you spotted the Summer 2015 California Dreaming collection in your area yet? Anything here catching your eye? I'd love to hear from you!

Another huge thanks to Regina and Annie for the fantastic sightings and pics. I truly appreciate it!

  3. I am sad about this displays, I wish they would have added eyeshadows to the line up on this one! The oy thing I really want is "Don't Be Jelly". The nail polish colors are pretty but no drug store polishes stay on my nails so have to stick with O.P.I because every other polish chips the same day or the day after I apply it :(! I hope that they have another part to the summer display this year that has eyeshadows on it!

    1. I agree! I mean four mascaras but no eyeshadow? They need to ditch the mascara and put some eyeshadow in there.

    2. No nail. Polish stays on me no matter what brand it is.

  6. I cannot wait to find this display. I would like to take a look at the Balm tints and of course I will want all the polishes. Local Wags tend to not put something like this out until after a sale, but I will start the hunt now anyway. I was getting bored with nothing to hunt! Lol! Thanks everyone for the info!

    1. It seems that is the case in my area too, Robin. Whenever there is a huge sale my Wags never seems to have the new displays out. But any other time, they have new stuff straight away. They do it with the $.99 Sinful sale too, I've noticed. Here's hoping we can find this display soon becuase I want to see the polishes in person too.

    2. Walgreens now goes by a monthly customer plan. So all stores should have the same products out at the same time. we just got this display in yesterday at my store. So you should see it soon. Also if they are ever running a sale on makeup and they dont have a particular shade or product that is advertised ask for a raincheck. They dont expire for about 3 months.

    3. how do rainchecks work/ ive always wondered

    1. Same here, unless they turn out to be like every other spring pastel I've seen lately but still... I'm a sucker and love these brushes so... Yeah. :) the lip tints don't wow me, there are just so many out now and the stains all turn fuschia on me no matter what color they were supposed to be. Oh well.

  9. Wish I liked their balm stains more.. they have beautiful colors. "don't be jelly".. such a cute name. Will grab some of the polishes for sure if I see them, loving the yellow and orange and hopefully the pink will be better than the silver lake version.

  10. That dark green liquid eye liner. I need that. GAH!

  11. Sigh… definitely want the polishes and maybe one of the tints. Do I need them? Nope. Do I want them? Yep.

Those polishes look like they'd work well in a sponge applied manicure. Yep. Will be stopping at Walgreens tomorrow. Have to drive by it anyway! ;)

  12. Looks like it's time to do some damage in the beauty section of my local Walgreens! Does anyone know the difference between the new limited edition liquid eyeliner in Black Black and the permanent black H2O? This one may be darker? I may have to hoard again. I love their H2O liners.

  13. Dang, the sea of WnW goodness never ends! I just finally found a Walgreens that had the Silveer Lake bronzer trios in stock and picked up one of those to try. Hopefully, my local stores will get this in soon. Most of them still have the March display still up. They are honoring the $1 off WnW items $2.99 & up (4/26-5/30) that is marked on the display with the new Fergie eyeshadow palette & brush display.

  14. I just found the new Fergie Lunch in San Paulo. I hope these come soon too :D

  15. My comment disappeared. Too tired to write another except to say.... polish and lip stains I must find you!

  16. Don't Be Jelly is a color changer. You can actually watch it turn to hot pink from the translucent purple when you swatch it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh my! Do I spy peelie coupons on the lip tints???

    ReplyDelete
  18. I bought the polishes today and on my receipt it said gel so I'm guessing these are the no light gel polishes that a lot of companies are coming out with lately just wonder why it doesn't say it anywhere and the green is a lil lighter and brighter then tree hugger from the silver lake collection but they're very similar

    ReplyDelete

    1. I agree, that is why they have the top coat with this collection. They are so pretty swatched. It says gel on my receipt as well

  19. I just found these in Houston (Webster/Clear Lake area) on El Camino. I picked up the polishes and the purple jelly. It is as someone had said like a mood lipstick.
Also wanted to let everyone know that the polishes are NOT the same colors as the Blooming collection in case that helps anyone decide whether to buy them or not. These are much more vibrant.

  20. Found another display on Scarsdale and Beamer in Houston near San Jacinto South College. It was just put up.

  21. Does anybody know if this is WNW nail polish is Gel formula?

  22. I have been looking for this for more than a freaking month. I can't believe it isn't showing up anywhere.

  23. Is the collection ONLY at Walgreens?

    ReplyDelete
  24. So I finally found the display at 2 Walgreen's. Both of them had none of what shows in the photos. They are full of random stuff. I'm so disappointed and disgusted. I have officially given up the hunt. Big fat failure Wet and Wild .
