Spotted: NEW Wet n Wild Spring 2015 Limited Edition Silver Lake Megalast Nail Color Collection

Remember when I first posted about the Wet n Wild Spring 2015 Limited Edition Silver Lake 6-Pan Eyeshadow Palettes, and I mentioned that there might also be polishes in this collection? Well guess what? I was at Walgreens the other day and spotted this brand new display:

Wet n Wild Spring 2015 Limited Edition Silver Lake Megalast Nail Color Collection
(retail: $1.99 each - six shades)

Keep reading for more pics and info...

As you probably know, Silver Lake is known as a very hipster part of LA, so that's the theme for this collection:

There are six pastel cremes in this collection. I looked very closely at all six shades and I didn't detect any shimmer here (not even hidden shimmer), although I guess that could be a possibility, since hidden shimmer tends to say pretty hidden in florescent store lighting:

Warm Filter, Reject the Mainstream

 Tree Hugger, Wear Skinny Jeans

A Latte Love, Stream of Consciousness

I'm so excited about this collection, because I think it's the first LE collection I've seen from WnW that really reminds me of the Limited Edition Spring 2011 Megalast Bloom Collection. That collection was probably my favorite WnW polish collection of all time,  and I think that Tree Hugger and Skinny Jeans in particular remind me of shades from that collection. So yeah, I'm loving it.

I don't know yet how widespread this collection will be, but as soon as I find out, you'll be the first to know!

In the meantime, have you spotted these, or the Silver Lake 6-pans, in your area yet? Thoughts?

    1. Meant to say,.. this snow and cold has to go. I'm so tired of it I just what to cry. When I get home I eat dinner and go to bed. I haven't even been doing my nails every other to every day. Wow. That is crazy. I just paint over my old polish and even wear polish chipped sometimes. So sad! I need springtime now!

I'm also freaking out a bit because you said it reminded you of Bloom Collection. I never found that collection (and I hunted for it like crazy...to the point where the drugstore employees look at me like I'm crazy). >.< So now I'm extra super excited for this one!

  19. I haven't spotted these yet, but I'm excited to find out whether any of these are crellys (The LE Summer 2014 shades were such a hit!), and whether that light blue is secretly a periwinkle, because that is one of my favorite nail colors to wear. Especially in the spring and summer.

  20. Ahhhh, Birdbath and Gardenhose!!! I love those two and still can get use out of them. Those were the only shades I got from that collection. My fav wnw le too! This Treehugger looks nearly identical!!! Funny the blue and green always get me, hahaha!

  24. I just returned from buying four of the six shades in this nail polish collection--I'm ecstatic about these shades--but incidentally, there IS SHIMMER in the pale pink and light blue shades (Stream of Consciousness and Wear Skinny Jeans, respectively). This didn't deter me from getting them, as it's a nice micro-shimmer and is barely visible in the blue one. The other four shades are completely creme and shimmer-free. Here are some pics of the two shimmer shades:

  29. Sometimes I find it so funny to shop at the same places as you! I first heard about you from Jen (fromheadtotoe) and I never expected to have a beauty blogger to live in my area! I feel quite bless to have found you because you always keep be informed on all the great sale from around this area! haha :) Oh by the way when I checked out at Walgreens (same Walgreens from your blog lol) the limited edition DID NOT ring up to be 2 for $3! Let them know and they will deduct the price!

  32. Found the polishes today at Walgreens on Jackson and Tennyson in Hayward, CA. The display at the Tennyson store was nearly full when I went around 10:30am. I went back around an hour later and it was less than half full! Display at Jackson store was full. Both stores had a few of the eyeshadow palettes left too.

  33. FOUND THEM!!! If you live in the Houston Area, the HEB PLUS off the Hwy 288 & 518 (Broadway) Pearland exit.
Also in Dickenson the HEB off of the Hwy 45 and 646 (I believe exit 20) They have 2 displays out.
The shadows are there too BTW :D

  34. I spotted a full, untouched display at Walgreens at Union Square in NYC yesterday (3/5/2015). I scooped up all the colors in the collection which left a few bottles remaining in the display. I am so excited to swatch these!!

  35. Okay the blue and the pink have shimmer in the bottle but only the pink has shimmer on the nail. It's gorgeous! I have a skittle mani swatch of 5 out of 6 colors on my Instagram (curlycomedynailart) if anyone wants to take a look!

  36. I have to give up on the hunt for these polishes. It's just driving me nuts.

  37. I have to agree with Robin. I contacted close to 20 Walgreens stores and no one has them in my area, except a single store where all the colors but two were already sold out. Has anyone from the southeast PA area seen them anywhere?

I started casually looking for them but it's an obsession by now because they are impossible to find.

  38. My walgreens has a full display u can put your email address on here and I will email my phone number if you like and I would ship them to you if you are willing to pay shipping

  39. I FINALLY found them in my area at the 4th or 5th Walgreens I went to. I ended up with Tree Hugger and A Latte Love. I had originally put those two as well as Wear Skinny Jeans, Warm Filter and Reject the Mainstream in my basket. But once I looked at the other 3 colors they seemed similar to some Essie ones I had. I went over to the Essie display in Walgreens and sure enough, Wear Skinny Jeans is an almost exact dupe for Bikini So Teeny (Which I Own) and Reject the Mainstream the same for Figi and Minimalist (I also own both of these). Warm Filter was very close to a few Essie polishes like Warm and Cozy Turtleneck (LE?) and another permanent one I can't remember the name of at the moment.

Anyway, I thought it might help someone with either way on these "dupes" in case you already have the Essie color, or want the Essie color and can snatch these for much cheaper. Disclaimer, I am no expert, just comparing these colors in the store led me to believe in the above similarities.

Hope that helps : ) I was happy to finally find them! Tree Hugger and A Latte Love are both beautiful in person!

  40. Oops....I meant Stream of Consciousness was close to Essie Fiji and Minimalistic not Reject the Mainstream, which is close to Essie Warm and Toasty* Turtleneck

    To summarize...

Warm Filter (Coral) = Close to Essie Tart Deco
Reject the Mainstream (Purple) = Close to Essie Warm and Toasty Turtleneck/Under Where?
Tree Hugger (Green) = Unique, more green than Essie Mint Candy Apple
Wear Skinny Jeans (Blue/Periwinkle) = Essie Bikini So Teeny dupe
A Latte Love (Taupe) = Unique but a lighter less brown Revlon Checkmate (Gel Envy)
Stream of Consciousness (Light Pink) = Essie Figi and Minimalistic Dupable

TOO MANY NAIL POLISH NAMES TO KEEP STRAIGHT! :P
