NEW Wet n Wild Fergie Fall 2014 Limited Edition Fergie Beauty University Palette

Well apparently this is a new tradition! The 2014 Wet n Wild Fergie Limited Edition Fergie Kit has landed at Walgreens almost exactly one year to the day since my post about last year's kit. This year's LE Fergie kit is definitely different from last year's, but I hope that the quality is on-par with last year's since I really enjoyed last year's kit (see my full review of last year's kit HERE).

Just like last year's kit, this is a Walgreens-exclusive, limited edition product. I have tons of photos to share with you today from two lovely readers who just spotted this kit at their local Walgreens stores this week. Take a look!

(retail: $30, exclusively at Walgreens)

NOTE: If this is anything like last year's kit, Walgreens should be running a promotion/sale soon where you'll be able to get it at a reduced price (and maybe earn some points). If I remember correctly, last year's kit went on sale a few times for $19.99, and then during Thanksgiving there was Walgreens in-ad coupon to get it for 50% off ($15). Just like last year's kit, there are only a few of these in the display (four, I believe) but I do think that Walgreens will replenish when the display is empty (I think that's what happened last year).

Keep reading for a look inside this kit...

Reader @drugstoredreamer on Instagram spotted this display at her local Walgreens this week and kindly shared some pics with us:

This kit contains three sections:

Middle section - 72 powder eyeshadows
Left section- 29 glitter creams
Right section - 29 lip glosses

Also included:
4 double-ended eyeshadow applicators
1 mirror

Next up, reader @freakumbee on Instagram just purchased this kit from her local Walgreens and was nice enough to share lots of pics with us:

Above  is what the kit looks like before you pull out the side drawers (notice the large mirror). And here's what it looks like with both side drawers pulled open:

I'm bummed that we don't get any powder blushes this year (I loved the blushes in last year's kit) but we do get 72 powder eyeshadows compared to last year's 36 powder eyeshadows. And it appears that the powder shadows are like last year's, with a combo of matte, sparkle and shimmer finishes. I also like that this kit sits at an angle, almost like a mini-vanity.

Have you spotted the Fall 2014 Limited Edition Fergie Beauty University Palette at your local Walgreens yet? Thoughts? Again, if this is anything like last year's kit, we'll be able to get it at a reduced price in the coming weeks when it (hopefully) goes on sale for $19.99 (and maybe 50% off over Thanksgiving).

Thanks again, @drugstoredreamer and @freakumbee, for the great sightings and pics. I really appreciate it!

  1. What are the glitter creams for?

  2. This looks a lot like the Sephora Makeup Academy Palette. Can't wait to see someone do swatches to see if it's worth the price.

  3. I picked up one of last years (there were two different styles) when it was on sale.. and haven't even touched it, lol. That's terrible I know. This one doesn't interest me at all.. first because of all the cream products which I would never use (what is it with WnW and their glitter creams?) and second because of the size... it's way too large and cumbersome. I would have much preferred if it were just the shadows (or maybe some face products: blush, bronzer, highlight).. and if it were a flat portfolio style.. I almost certainly would have bought it then. It does remind me a lot of the Sephora holiday palette from last year. http://www.musingsofamuse.com/2013/08/sephora-makeup-academy-palette-holiday-2013.html (blog link for photo comparison)

  4. I saw this today at 2 Walgreens in south Oklahoma City and I was curious as to what quality the shadows were because I LOVE kits like this.

  5. Looks great, but I don't think I'd use it, so I'll have to pass. I don't need anymore things just sitting on my shelf to look pretty.

    1. Ditto but could be a great gift for someone without a lot of this kind of thing already, thinking of my college age niece.

    2. If you want to sell yours from last year let me know.

  6. Maybe this would be worth it if 20+ of the eyeshadows weren't white.

  7. Spotted it today, I'm very tempted to buy since only 4 in the display but want to wait for the sale. Did pick up some new eyeshadow quads and lipsticks from Halloween display all rang up 25% sale prices Yay !

  8. Sorry this one doesn't interest me at all. Saw it last night in walgreens. I'll stick with the profusion holiday palettes instead...love those.
