I've heard from several of you that the texture and pigmentation of these new limited edition 5-pans is NOT like the permanent 5-pans. So many of you have told me that they're smooth, buttery, and nicely pigmented, and more like the original Coloricon trios and 8-pans that we all know and love.
If you spot the Fall 2014 5-Pans in your area, I wouldn't hesitate to grab 'em. They've been popping up at Kmart, Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid and remember that they're on sale for $2 each at Walgreens this week (through 8/30) if you're lucky enough to find them there!
If you're looking for this collection, be sure to check out the Interactive Sightings Map HERE to see if any of your fellow readers have spotted it in your area. And if you have found this collection, please consider helping others by leaving a marker on the map (and thank you!).
Thanks so much, @kim_chii_, debi3214 and Emilie, for the great pics and swatches. I really appreciate it!
awesome! thank you :)
ReplyDeleteI did a Back to School Tutorial with Smoke & Melrose, sooo gorgeous I totally agree, exact dupes & so creamy & hardly any fall out! Unfortunately my palette was defected & I got two of the liar type shade instead of one liar and one darkside
ReplyDeleteI picked these up at Wegmans on Monday and they are great! Very buttery soft and pigmented. They don't disappoint!
ReplyDeleteWNW is gonna do me in! But hey, if you're gonna go nuts all the better it be an affordable line like WNW, right? Lol. Hope to score a Wags before the sale is over.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately for me these palettes were not on sale at my Walgreens in NYC and I checked more than 1 store. They didn't have any $2 signs up and didn't know about the sale. I still got them though. I figure if the 40% off or BOGO comes up I will return and ask for an adjustment in price.
ReplyDeleteThanks sooo much for the heads up about these! I also posted a blog and youtube review as the shades translate differently on darker skin tones(I hope that's okay to say), but yes, very dupable colors and pigmentation is FABULOUS! You are a gem for finding these dupes! xoxox
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear these are dupes for the UD. I purchased all of these and I really like them. I can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for the UD palettes so I'm always thrilled to find dupes. Thanks, G!
ReplyDeleteI hoped that they were at Wags, I checked on Wednesday. I don't actually bother to get the e/s pallettes but I do think I want these. The colors are so different that I am compelled to try them!
ReplyDeleteI hope they pop up here soon! Can't wait to try them.
ReplyDeletePicked both of them up last week at Walgreens…(before the sale of course, lol) I'm excited to swatch them this weekend!
ReplyDeleteOkay, everyone needs to get these..as in push grandmothers and children out of the way to get to these ;-) Which I didn't - I don't think - but then again I may be foggy on that one particular trip to Walgreens. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Anyway, I bought the Smoke and Melrose first and it is beautiful. I couldn't believe how lovely all the shades were. So I went back to the scene of the crime (allegedly) and picked up Melrose at Night and it's another homerun. I'm now going to go back and get backups for both of these beauties. I have dark green olive colored eyes and these make them pop like no other shadow I've tried before. I use an eggplant eyeliner on my top lid and it's been nothing but compliments every single time I wear these shadows, which is pretty much everyday. People I've worked with for years tell me that they didn't realize I had green eyes. I just might need triplicates or maybe I'm a hoarder.. ;-)
ReplyDeleteG, I'm going to go ahead and do your disclaimer if you don't mind. G does not advocate the (alleged) tussling of grandmothers or children, especially in the attempt of purchasing limited edition Wet n Wild eyeshadow palettes.
* I'm not sure of G's position on the hoarding part so I left that part out. :-)
I love this, Kelly. And though I'm trying for a no-buy, I have the urge to return to Wags and buy backups.
DeleteYes, I love this too...too funny! I gotta say, based on these swatches the quality of the WNW looks much better imo versus the UD. I have UD Naked3, but as usual some have crazy fallout...these WNW seem verrry promising! Want the LE matte np's and lippies too...gonna try my luck at Wags tonight.
DeleteYeah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and THIRD THIS! I'm so with Heidi and BB on this one, Kelly. I laughed so hard when your comment came through today...I'm still laughing now! :)
DeleteI'm totally on board with that disclaimer but yeah, glad you left the hoarding part out because I DO condone hoarding all the eyeshadows.*
*When they are $2 each AND they have the ability make your eye natural color pop.
*I mean, duh. Must. Buy. All.
I may or may not have wet myself a little while laughing Kelley! (not )either way I hope they look goodon blue eyes. Cuz I hope to score both!
DeleteHahaha! This is waaay too funny, Kelly. This actually corroborates the warning I gave my male friend when he offered to check the drugstore near his place for these palettes (I'm from the Philippines, so couldn't go there myself). I told him that he may want to be on the lookout for hoarding women and if he finds these palettes, he should pick them up, go straight to the counter and avoid the stampede. Hahaha. Men need to be made aware that the makeup aisle is a dangerous place for people who mull over stuff - especially at a time when there are gorgeous limited edition palettes like these on sale and wanted everywhere.
DeleteI bought both Melrose at Night and Smoke & Melrose and love them. I'm set to go on a no-buy for a while.
ReplyDeleteI'm sad. Just got back from our Walgreens and they don't even have the display anywhere. I looked & looked plus asked for help. KMart next, I suppose!
ReplyDeleteUpdate: Not at KMart, but I waited a week and then Walgreens had them, hooray! Thanks for the post. :-D
DeleteI found these at Walgreens yesterday and paid $2 each I can't wait to wear them!
ReplyDeleteI found a full display of e yeshadows nail polish & lipstick at Christmas Tree shops!
ReplyDeleteI bought both at Walgreens today! But the last one of Smoke and Melrose - hopefully they restock soon. Now I am on the hunt for the lippies...
ReplyDeleteI had a gut feeling these shadow palettes were a dupe for the UDN3, glad I was right! I just picked up Smoke and Melrose, loving it, they are actually really great in formula too <3 Glad I never got the N3 palette since these are such a steal! <3
ReplyDeleteI was fortunate enough to pick up Smoke and Melrose for $2 at Walgreens this week. I was on the fence about Melrose at Night because I thought I could find similar colors in Walking on Eggshells, Sweet as Candy, and Silent Treatment, all of which I already own. So I passed... Any thoughts on similarities from anyone owning them all? Knowing me, I'll probably go back and get it anyway. Incredible deal for $2 but I was just curious...
ReplyDeleteI bought them both and I love them! So happy that wet n wild makes these amazing dupes! Especially for us college students who can't buy a naked3 or Lorac palette! Thanks G!
ReplyDeleteI was lucky enough to get those last night and they had a pretty full display of the festival nail polishes and lip pencils. I bought the festival one, but I think i might go back for the tribal pencil, too. They rang up at $2, also!!
ReplyDeleteBought these today at your recommendation. My Walgreens had signs on the Fall collection having them at $3.99 (the normal price). Where the regular WnW stuff is the 5 shadow pans were saying $2 they did ring up for $2. Absolutely love the colors, although I've found the lighter shades don't show up too well on my extremely pale skin.
ReplyDeleteI was really lucky and found the display at Walgreens yesterday. Great deal, and the shadows are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI finally found all the palettes in this collection, I got 3 of them and will be back for the 4th one. I can't wait to play with these!
ReplyDeleteFound them both and bought them both... naturally. 2 bucks each. One store didn't have sale sign up. Walgreens can be so weird with their sales. It's like they put things on sale but don't want you to buy them.
ReplyDeleteHeidi, Whew! Glad you gave in and bought them. I'm not usually a psycho when it comes to eyeshadow (I pinkie swear!) but these two palettes brought that out and I hope I don't require counseling when they're gone for good.
ReplyDeleteBubbleGumBangel, I'm too cheap to fork out for the Naked palettes (I have a needy, babied bully that takes a lot of my cash) so could not compare them but I noticed right away that these were so different from the regular five pans. I had no fallout and didn't end up looking like Edward Cullen in sunlight. I loved the way they blend together and didn't muddy up. I'm no expert with eyeshadow so that was a minor miracle right there.
G, I'm glad you got a laugh. I love, love, love this blog and you've never steered me wrong. I also appreciate the really helpful comments from your readers. But you do realize you're a hoarder enabler? I like that in a person! ;-) If you happen to come across an episode of Hoarders with a woman desperately clinging to a 55 gallon drum of similar shades of pink eyeshadow, wailing as her daughter tells her she doesn't need an industrial sized barrel of pink eyeshadow, you'll know who that is. But yeah, I'm going to be hoarding these. Advance apologies to anyone in my area. Feel free to elbow me away from the display as it's only fair. I'll be the shifty eyed one waiting for security to toss me out.
Robin, I do think they'd look great on you. I have a blue-eyed friend who just got them and she liked the fact that some were a muted pink. They almost look pinkish brown on her. She wears a brown/black liner on her top lid and it looks absolutely fabulous.
I had to go to 3 different Walgreens to get all four palettes but it was worth it! I am in love with all of them! Beautiful colors, incredible formula...WnW is the best! :D These palettes are amazing.
ReplyDeleteTHERE IS ANOTHER UD DUPE that I wanted to alert everyone to: the "base" color in High Wasted Jeans (metallic silver) is a dupe for Urban Decay Revolt! Revolt was in the L.E. Anarchy Face Case (no longer available) and is currently in the Electric Palette.
P.S. Many thanks in advance for the interactive maps, G! The L.E. Matte MegaLast display is proving to be the hardest to find. I have been to 16 Walgreens and 5 Rite Aids in two states (yes, I am WnW crazy) and only ONE location had the L.E. Matte Megalast display. I still have yet to hunt down my most wanted item from the display though: Sunset Siren! >.< I need Sunset Siren and Urban Night so bad!!! MegaLasts are my favorite lippie from WnW! *continues hunt like a crazy lady* Looking forward to your interactive map! Many thanks again! XD
Wow those are nice! If I hadn't just gotten N3 I'd be more tempted, the WnW to my eye look more pink tones than N3, and I can barely pull them off so I fear WnW wont work with my newly bright red haircolor :( still, I've been known to cave before seeing in person, lol!
ReplyDeleteThe nailcolors will be mine, regardless, heh :p thanks as always for your wonderful comparisons!
I found theses at Rexall Drugs in Edmonton Alberta Canada, just off Victoria Trail and 137th Ave.
ReplyDeleteWell, I found a display but it was completely empty so not sure if that counts for the map... not sure if they'll refill it or not. Oh and they weren't on sale :(
ReplyDeleteI went to three walgreens and three cvs and a rite aid and nada on these. So frustrated as I really wanted the ud naked three palette but these fit my budget
ReplyDeleteWent to CVS today. Had a 3 dollar extra bucks coupon. WnW was a buy 2 get 1.
ReplyDeleteI got 3, of the Fall 2014 LE 5 pans. All 3 for a few cents more than 6 dollars.
I had purchased the only one I could find a few weeks ago. So, I have all 4.
The SA said 'SCORE'! It was super cute. WW~~
