You have no idea how excited I am that CoverGirl has released a new POWDER FOUNDATION. Powder foundations are my favorite and they seem to be a dying breed at the drugstores these days. Have you spotted this display in your area yet? Thoughts? Thanks so much, Mrssan47, Ais, Roguedarkholme, Amberlee, Stephanie and Kris Feral for the great pics and info. I really appreciate it!
Wow, this is a lot from Cover Girl! I can't wait to see these new polishes. I like that the display says the colors "glow".
ReplyDeleteAlso, I did see the new XL polishes today at Walgreens so they are out...everyone be on the lookout for them. They were all creams.
I love the packaging. It's very 1990's. :) Thanks G.
ReplyDeleteI will be looking forward to your review of the powder foundation - they're my favorites, too, but pretty much every one I used and liked has been discontinued. So a new, easily obtainable one would be fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI've been really liking the NYX Stay matte but not flat powder foundation - it might be worth a try. Noveaucheap, do you have any non-discontinued holy grail powder foundations?
DeleteLOL the packaging does look like 90s
ReplyDeleteGreat pics and al..but neverhave been a big fan of Covergirl...there facial productsalways break me out.
ReplyDeleteI like the packaging. I am hesitant to try drugstore foundation. The last time I used it my skin felt oily.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see this display, but I did see the XL nail polish yesterday at Walgreen.
ReplyDeleteOn the packaging it says fresh complexion. Maybe this is Fresh Complexion line being released again but with a celebrity attached and a new name.
ReplyDeleteSorry to burst anybody's bubble, but these aren't new formulas.... The new concealer has the same exact ingredients as the old Fresh Complexion Concealer, the new foundation has the same ingredients as the Clean Oil-Control Foundation, and the new powder foundation has the same ingredients as the old Fresh Complexion Pocket Powder. Sorry guys, but I highly doubt that there any new formulas here :(
ReplyDeleteHaley I agree. It looked to me that they're just repacking their products and pretending they're new. A good example of this was the CG Smoothers. It went from simply being labeled as a Tinted Moisturizer to a BB cream. Same product just different name to it. At least this time they gave them different packaging...?
DeleteUnless the powder comes in different shades than the original blue Fresh Complexion compact (which I love but it doesn't match me), I'll pass on all of this.
Actually if you compare between the older pocket powder blue one and the simply powder which as been around forever as well. The formulation is just slightly different. The ingredients are in a bit different order which usually means different levels. Like in this new one the silica (which is an absorbent) is slightly higher up, Which hopefully means more oil control. Aslo this one doesn't have Glyceryl Rosinate in it :)
DeleteWe just got this display in at our Walgreens and I can confirm that the flamed out shadow pencils are new shades as well: indigo flame, primrose pink flame, violet flame (and they're stretching the definition of violet here; it's more of a neutral-y plum-ish color), and a black one called, I think, midnight black sparkle. Just thought I'd let you guys know. :-)
ReplyDeleteKris, you ROCK! I literally JUST added more pics of those to my post, so now I have the shade names to go with it! I'll add them in now. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :D
DeleteThat is a LOT of new stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been over the moon lately with Covergirl products. I'm sure these will impress!
ReplyDeleteWhere are they going to stick all these foundations??Lol they've been rolling a lot of them out. I hop these are as good as the outlast.
ReplyDeleteSorry, CG, I'm not spending $8 on a drugstore polish
ReplyDeleteThis looks exciting! I love my CG 3 n 1 foundation, but I also like to have something light for the no-fuss days. If it's the same formula, oh well. The new packaging is much better then their older packaging.
ReplyDeleteOooh Glosstinis! The rest seem like repackaged older stuff, except for the XL polishes, but I'll be checking both of these out for sure.
ReplyDeleteThe concealer for the darker complexions is a must!
ReplyDeleteI found the display at Walgreens tonight and picked up 4 of the night glow polishes. They say they glow with a black light. I'll have to test them later. The green looks really pretty! I was hoping for a shimmer with the XL polishes, so I didn't pick any of those up.
