I received the new Mango Moonbreeze Body Wash for review, and you know I love my body washes, so let's see how this one worked for me.
NEW gud from Burt's Bees Natural Body Wash in Mango Moonbreeze
(retail: around $6.99, 10 oz)
Burt's Bees can be playful, but I find gud to be even more playful in their marketing and packaging:
I haven't tried scanning this bottle with my phone yet, but I love the idea that they'll send you a "gudee"...
- Abundant, long-lasting lather after just an average-sized squirt onto a bath pouf.
- Beautiful fragrance (to me it smells predominately of mango, with a sweet jasmine background).
- Rinses easily and leaves skin feeling soft yet clean with no residue.
- No parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals in this formula.
CONS
- The fragrance is strong and long-lasting, which could be a "pro" if you like stronger fragrances (which I do). The scent of this body wash lingers on my skin for hours after my shower.
- The formula could be a little drying if you already have very dry skin (I didn't experience any dryness but my skin is not super dry to begin with).
THE LAST BITE: For $6.99 (or less if you catch it on sale), this is a fun new body wash that I find myself reaching for in the shower. The fragrance is the biggest selling point for me--it's mouth-watering but not sickly-sweet. If you like mango and you like jasmine, I have a feeling you're going to absolutely adore this one. I also love the abundant lather that this body wash produces, and its ability to thoroughly cleanse my skin and not leave any oily residue behind. Like I mentioned above, I could see how this body wash might be a tiny bit drying if you already have dry skin, but in the warmer months, I don't see that being a problem for most of us. If you're already a gud fan, I would certainly add this to your list of "must-try" products. And if you're new to gud, this would be a nice product to start with (unless you're super sensitive to fragrance, because this one's pretty strong and it does linger on the skin for hours after your shower).
Are you a gud fan? Have you seen the new Mango Moonbreeze line in your area yet?

Great review, G. I've never tried this brand but I might have to pick this up next time I'm at Target...
ReplyDeleteI just found this at my local Target, and only got the shampoo. The conditioner smelled very alcohol-y and I have a backup bottle of Pearanorml Activity conditioner so I'll "pear" it with that...see what I did there?lol. I've been anxiously awaiting this line, as I first spotted it upstate ny at a Target when all they had was the shampoo, so I guess I waited on the cond. for nothing. Target had coupons attached to the bottle w a rubberband type thingy, so I think I scored $1.50 off! The "Güddee" was nothing much, just brought me to the website...there was an offer for a free wallpaper...not sure if that was the goody? Anyway, now my phone has a MangoM00nbreeze wallpaper...pretty!
ReplyDeleteOMG after reading this last night I had to run out and buy this today. I needed another shower gel anyway as I am running low. This just might be the ticket to help with the winter blues -- I can't wait to try it in the shower tomorrow. I noticed that this one seemed to be $1 more than the other flavors of Gud shower gel at my Target, and they didn't have any of the coupons on them either. I bought it anyway.
ReplyDeleteNice review! I tried the hand cream in a different scent, Orange Petalooza, and it wasn't very moisturizing. But, I picked it up from Ulta on clearance after Thanksgiving for 87 cents!
ReplyDeleteOooh I need this! I love the gud line <3
