If you haven't been following my coverage of this sale, Sears is getting rid of its extended beauty departments (only select Sears locations have extended beauty departments) and this sale is going on both in-store AND online. Remember that if you place an online order, you can select free in-store pickup to avoid shipping fees. Also, be sure to CHECK your items before you pay for them in-store, because I have heard a few reports that some items have been damaged (this is final clearance stuff so not everything may be pristine).

If you live near a Sears that has an extended beauty department, I would take a trip ASAP to see what you can find!

DeleteI can attest that the Mattese Elite polishes I received were beautiful and high quality. I also received great customer service over the phone when my online order went wonky.
ReplyDeleteI attempted the Sears sale a while back, and was frustrated as items became unavailable so quickly, sometimes as soon as I put them in my cart. Which isn't surprising, considering the prices. But still...frustrating. Sadly, my local Sears doesn't carry cosmetics.
I live in Concord, CA and I went to my nearest Sears (at Sunvalley Mall) and I must say that what is left of the makeup is pretty gross. Everything has been opened and tampered with and all of the lipsticks where smashed and broken. I was very disappointed. Nonetheless, I found two Revlon lip products for about $2/each. I was mainly looking for the NYX and Milani Collection, but that was ALL gone. I cannot believe I didn't know about this sale earlier :( I hope everyone else has better luck though!!!!

Since I don't have a Sears with a beauty section anywhere near me I was perusing their online selection and although I found some items I considered picking up I ended up not buying anything since shipping was 12 bucks! Plus the website isn't very well made and is quite annoying to navigate.

ReplyDeletehas your order been processed? I placed mine yesterday and paid via paypal...the website is still showing the items in my cart and the paypal transaction is still pending. I called and emailed customer service but no response as yet. I was super excited as I spent about 40 bucks (equals 40 products!!). I'm scared the items will be gone before my order gets processed. Not that i NEED any more makeup....:-)
Deletemy account on the website still says that the order is processing but they did send me a confirmation email. my paypal also says that the payment is pending. But when i ordered my items they did disappear from the cart. I had the same problem when i tried to order, i tried for hours to get the order to go through and now my sister is having the same problem. I also sent them an email but they still havent responded either.
Deletefinally got my order(s) processed. I picked up some more items and rather than use paypal, paid w/ my credit card directly on the site. customer service called me back and canceled the first order's paypal transaction. I then went back and refilled my cart adding even more items than I had originally. I got $618 worth of products for $63. I am SUPER excited!!

DeleteFYI, I believe you can have items shipped to a Sears store for pickup for free. So if you have a Sears nearby, even if they don't carry cosmetics, you can save yourself the shipping by having your order sent there. I used to do this with Payless a lot.
ReplyDeleteOk their shipping is crazy. I added a few things to my cart and after coupon code it added up to be $9.90. Shipping for that was going to be $11.98. Found some pretty colors but not paying that much shipping!
ReplyDeleteCrazy right?? The shipping for my order of 41 items was 5.99, the shipping for 13 items was $11.98. I didn't mind paying the shipping only because I was getting such a phenomenal deal!!
DeleteI've noticed on the Sears site that sometimes I'll see the same item listed more than once with different prices. It appears there are vendors other than Sears that share the Sears website, which just confuses and annoys me.

DeleteSeptember, I think their website is getting overloaded with traffic. I had to keep trying for an entire afternoon to get my order through. A couple of lip liners went OOS while I was trying, but I got most of it.
