How to get 14 Wet n Wild items for less than $6 this week at Rite Aid

For those new to drugstore sales and how they work with rewards, I thought I would take a minute to break down the Wet n Wild sale at Rite Aid this week, and show you how to maximize your savings:

This week (6/17 - 6/23), all Wet n Wild products are 40% off at Rite Aid, and when you spend $8, you'll get $3 back in +UP Rewards (store credit you can use toward your next purchase).

Important: Rite Aid will calculate the $8 threshold needed to get the $3+UP rewards AFTER the 40% discount has been taken.

Here's a scenario:
Buy 14 $0.99 items. This comes to $13.86 (before tax) and, after the 40% discount, your total drops to $8.32 out of pocket. BINGO! You've now qualified for the +UP Reward, which means you'll get $3 back in +UP Rewards on your receipt. This brings your grand total after +UP Reward down to $5.32 for 14 items.

And since the limit on this offer is 2, you can take those $3+UP Rewards and roll them over! In other words:

You can buy 14 additional $0.99 items, and instead of paying $8.42 out of pocket, you'll pay $5.32 out of pocket plus the $3+UP you got from the first transaction. And, you'll get ANOTHER $3 back in +UP Rewards, which you can of course spend however you wish on a future transaction.
Of course you're not limited to buying only $0.99 items from Wet n Wild, but this was the easiest to calculate for the purposes of this post, so that's why I used them in the scenario.

Hope this helps, and happy shopping!

    1. They're hit or miss for me. Overall, they are not very pigmented, so they're better to use to layer on top of lipsticks.

  3. I'm also in a Rite Aide test market and I bought a bunch of WnW today! Didn't realize I could do it twice though, so I'll have to go back tomorrow as well!

Continuing in my goal to own everything in the WnW line I want - I already own all the eyeshadow & lipsticks I want, but I'm still working on the nail polish.

    1. They have Wet n Wild in the Rite Aid in Lyndhurst. >.< Not sure where you are, but I have seen them here or there on the random occasion I am in a Rite Aid.

    2. Thanks for that response, K. I've also heard from many readers in NJ who regularly buy WnW at their local Rite Aids. So maybe it's just a few isolated locations?

  9. Damn it!

I wish I saw this post before I went to Rite-Aid tonight. I was on the hunt for the new shades of their lippies & found them. I was so happy!

I got 6 lippies: 2 each of Don't Blink Pink & Pinkerbell & 1 each of Dollhouse Pink & 24 Carrot Gold for $1.19 each, which isn't too bad. Saved around $5.

Definitely will go back this week & take advantage of this deal! Thank you for sharing!

    1. See, i'm the opposite! If I can only buy one or two of something, THEN it takes me hours to decide. But if I can buy a dozen of something, then I just grab and go. It's like i'm on one of those timed shopping sprees or something! Lol!! I just start throwing things in my cart without thinking! :)

  13. Will I have to do 2 seperate tranactions to get all 28 .99 cent items?

    1. I'm sorry if my post was confusing (I tried to explain it as clearly as possible) but yes, you would. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to use the $3+UP from the FIRST transaction, right?

    2. I love when you break down the sales into scenarios! i never could have thought of this, THANK YOU so much! I had a question on this part though:

"You can buy 14 additional $0.99 items, and instead of paying $8.42 out of pocket, you'll pay $5.32 out of pocket plus the $3+UP you got from the first transaction. And, you'll get ANOTHER $3 back in +UP Rewards, which you can of course spend however you wish on a future transaction. "

Does this mean I get a second $3+up AFTER already getting a $3+up to reduce $8.42 to $5.32? And then a third $3+up on my next transaction just from my first transaction?????

    3. The limit on this offer is 2. This means that you'll get two rounds of +up TOTAL.

You get the first reward after your first transaction, and another after your second transaction. There is no third round. I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that there's a third...maybe try rereading my post again? Hope that helps.

  14. I thought you couldn't use your +UP rewards right away. you have to wait til the next transaction. man, have i been misled this whole time?

    1. ????? This IS two transactions! Maybe you might want to re-read the post? I'm sorry, but I'm totally confused by your comment. If you can explain what you meant, maybe I can help? Thanks.

  15. I was wondering about the $10 +up rewards that you can earn when you spend $30 on nail polish at rite aid. Does the $30 include discounts? For instances, if I buy a Julie G nail polish regularly $3.99 but have a coupon for $1.00 off, does the $3.99 or $2.99 discount price count towards the $30?

    1. The $3.99 counts towards the total. RA calculates the total based on the sale price of the item. Any coupon that you use or UP rewards $ does not decrease the amount towards the count.
I was able to get 2 X $3 UP rewards for the Wet N Wild polishes, then a $5 UP rewards for L'oreal polishes at BOGO 1/2 off, plus I had $1 off coupons for them. I got my total $30 and got my $10 UP rewards.

  16. Thank you so much for the heads up and the math! I did this today and was able to get 2 x $3 UP Rewards for all the Wet N Wild polishes that I bought, one $5 UP Rewards for buying over $15 of L'Oreal polishes at BOGO 1/2 off, and $10 UP rewards for having bought $30 of nail polishes. Oh, happy day! To someone who asked further up, RA calculates the $30 total based on the after discount price of the polishes, not before. BUT since I would use my UP rewards $ for each transaction after the first one, and I had $1 coupons for the L'Oreal polishes, I really didn't spent $30 out of pocket. Oh, happy day!
