If you could instantly improve your skill at one (or more) beauty-related tasks, what would they be?
Oh gosh, where do I start? I wish I were better at coloring my own hair (I always miss spots and I'm not good at custom mixing shades). I wish I could wax my brows like a pro (I try, but I always seem to mess up one brow or the other). And I long to be able to apply cheek color like a professional makeup artist. I watch MUAs do it and it's like watching a painter creating a masterpiece on a canvas! I long for that glowing-from-within look that the pros can achieve on cheeks. *Sigh*
I wish I were better with eyeshadow. No matter how much I practice and play around with it, my eyeshadow is never going to look like "Hollywood" smokey eyes. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. That's one of the reasons, I stick w/blush, bronzer & highlighting.
Deletei have 2: i wish i could style my hair (a pixie cut) in several different ways quickly and easily, and i also wish i could apply makeup more quickly and easily.
ReplyDeleteI would love to improve my skill with eyeliner. I'm decent with cream or gel liner, bad with a pencil or marker, and absolutely horrible with liquid liner. I always end up messing at least one eye up.
ReplyDeleteI would improve my eyeliner skills. I'm okay but its never as precise as I would like it.
ReplyDeletei would LOVE to be good at freehand nail art haha. I'm not good at all. I also wish I could be better at stamping, but I know that takes practice.
ReplyDeleteand one more thing I wish i was better at is eye shadow application. I can never get my crease to look just right.
#1. Eyeshadow. I've never been able to figure out what colors to use... On me or which to use together.
ReplyDelete#2. Wish I could get my polish to stick like they do at the salon.
I wish I knew what foundation I should use! I have pretty good skin but sometimes it could use a little help. I however own no foundation and am too overwhelmed to pick out a color, so I usually just use pressed powder or a little bronzer.
ReplyDeletecontouring~!! no matter how many youtube tutorial I watched, I just can't seem to do it right... (by the way I LOVE gossmakeupartist's tutorials!!)
ReplyDeleteBlush - I've just given up on trying! :-P
ReplyDelete#1 perfecting my skin care routine so that I could have flawless skin and no oil #2 perfecting the smokey eye #3 excellent and consistent hair regimine to retain moisture and length.
ReplyDeletei want to be better at painting my own nails i suck ! it looks like i child painted them i can only do my toes when it comes to my hands it all goes to hell...
ReplyDeleteI want to be able to do brow threading!
ReplyDeleteI definitely wish I had better liner skills. I just can't seem to get winged liner right. And when I do make it look half-way decent on one eye, the other eye comes out pretty wonky. Sometimes my blending could use a little work too.
ReplyDeleteHaha, what *don't* I wish to improve! I think I do an okay job putting on lipstick, and everything else is questionable at best. I'm especially dismal at my nails and eyeliner, but I'm working on both.
ReplyDeleteUmmmm....
ReplyDeleteEverything!! Okay, I realize that I just ignored the purpose of the question. But I consider myself an enthusiastic noob; so I have products, but I am a novice at application. Every other comment before mine had me nodding my head in agreement. Oh well, at least I have nowhere to go but up, right?
I feel like I have room to improve everywhere! I guess what comes to mind first is making my gel liner application more consistent...sometimes I get it right (I like the line to be very thin) and sometimes I screw up and it's thicker, and then I have to even it out and end up with a thicker line than desired.
ReplyDeleteI've recently gotten into blush and can never seem to get that even on both cheeks. And bronzer...just forget about it!
Choosing a foundation colour on my own. Or even being able to mix foundation colours for a custom colour. In Canada it's really hard to return beauty products once it's been open so I'm always hesitate to experiment cause if it's not right, you almost always can't return it.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could style my own hair! I resort to a ponytail far too often! And then I could learn how to put on blush so I don't look like a circus performer...;)
ReplyDeleteLiquid eyeliner, applying false lashes, painting my nails, curling my hair...
ReplyDeleteI wish I could apply liquid eyeliner perfectly and the same one each eye. I keep thinking that practice would make perfect but not so much
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I join the ladies who have indicated they would like help with everything. And in my case, I do mean everything. Although I don't wear much makeup, never have and likely never will, and I can do my eyes ok, also lipstick, and I don't use blush or foundation. So, more to the point, I'd say style my fine, thin, frustrating hair. :(
ReplyDeleteI think it would be hair and eyeshadows.
ReplyDeleteI have very deep set/rounded eyes so I would love to learn how to put eyeshadow to give the illusion that they are more almond shaped :o)
Also my hair, omg, where would I start, to learn how to stright it up faster and learn how to TAME IT!! LOL
I could stand improvement everywhere, but if I had to pick just one thing, it would be eyeliner.
ReplyDeleteThese are technically 3 but go together:
ReplyDeleteBlush
Bronzer
Contouring
I wish I was better with eyeliner. I am so horrible at it that I completely stopped wearing it. :x
ReplyDeleteUm...all of the above...but if I had to pick one, I think it would probably be applying & placing face makeup; foundation, blush, bronzer, etc.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I'd say eyeliner. I do something different everytime and it's not on purpose :-/
