Spotted: new NYC In A New York Color Minute polish shades

A huge thanks to Twitter follower @AwkwardTweets2U for this sighting! She spotted six new NYC polishes at her local Walmart recently was nice enough to share:

(Please note: it looks like someone put one of the Long-Wearing polishes in the front of the yellow row, but if you look carefully you can see the In A New York Color Minute bottles in the back.)

Left to right: Water Street Blue, High Line Green, Lexington Yellow, Tribeca Silver

NYC In A New York Color Minute Nail Polishes retail for $1.99 at most retailers. At Walmart they retail for $1.72.

@AwkwardTweets2U purchased both Matte Me Crazy and Big City Dazzle and included some close-ups:

Under two bucks for a matte top coat is pretty exciting, right?

Big City Dazzle is a purple-based glitter.

In the above photo, both polishes were alternated on each finger (layered over a Wet n Wild polish).

Oh! And @AwkwardTweets2U also let us know that SOME of the NYC polishes have this coupon
attached:

Be on the lookout for this peelie!

Have you spotted the new NYC In A New York Color Minute shades in your area yet? Thoughts?

Thanks so much, @AwkwardTweets2U, for the great sighting!

  1. Thanks for the sightings! These fast dry polishes are honestly some of my all-time favorites. The brush and the staying power are great, and the colors are beautiful. I have Times Square [cross between hot pink, red and coral], Central Park [pinky/peach neutral], and Uptown [blue-toned pink]. It's perfect because NYC is one of my favorite cities! x

  2. Too funny, I'm right now working on a swatch post for the new NYCs i grabbed the other day. I just got High Line Green, Big City Dazzle & another called Water Street Blue" (a blue that looks to be along the lines of OPI Ogre-the-top Blue). I didnt see the matte topcoat in any of my stores, though-will have to keep an eye out for it!

  4. WHAT? A MATTE topcoat for a matte topcoat?! Hopefully someone will post swatches on how the matte looks over other polishes! I'm glad I waited and never got the Essie one! I'll have to make sure to stalk my nearby Walmart!! Thank you G!

  5. I love these polishes! They always work so well for me, plus I love Grand Central Station as a topcoat. I found the matte topcoat a month ago at a Kmart, and it works great! I will definitely be keeping an eye out for these. Very excited to try some new shades.

  6. The glitter one reminds me of an OPI Burlesque one that came out in 2010 ...

  9. Hi G., Thank you for all the work you put into your blog! You have turned me on to some excellent products and sales. The NYC Matte Me Crazy is the best one out there in my opinion. I grab a bottle every time I hit Rite Aid. I recently saw a mani where the nail was covered in a solid soft red creme, matted and then stamped with the same shade in the zebra pattern. The stamping was shiny and the contrast was very pretty and classy!
I bought Lexington Yellow last week and will try it in my next mani. Have a great week, be safe and God bless you always!
