First I want to thank the lovely Rai for finally getting my bootie in gear and giving me the motivation I needed to visit my local Big Lots recently. After she told me about how many goodies she spotted recently at her Big Lots, I finally made my way to mine, and I absolutely cannot believe what I found!
Every once in a blue moon, I hit the jackpot at Big Lots and find higher end beauty products for an incredible price. So I was stunned to find Sula Paint & Peel Nail Polishes for $2.50. What?!?!
Sula Paint & Peel Nail Polishes (retail: $10)
(left to right: Shadow, Dove and Merlot)
I absolutely could not believe my eyes when I spotted these. I haven't been able to find them anywhere except for on the Sula website, where they retail for $10 each. If you're not familiar with these polishes, they're water-based, Big Three Free, and when you want to remove them you simply peel them off your nails.
Next up, I found a TON of e.l.f. and e.l.f. Studio stuff:
The Studio products are $2.50 at Big Lots, so you're saving $0.50 off retail, but the regular e.l.f. products are $1, just like anywhere else. (I want to thank those of you who reported spotting these same e.l.f. products at your local Big Lots stores--it helps so much to know that they're widely available.)
I had heard from a few of you that one of the Alicia Silverstone for EcoTools makeup bags from the original collection was surfacing at Big Lots, and that it included ONE brush (the blush brush). Thanks to those of you who reported spotting it--I found a TON of them at my Big Lots so hopefully that means many of you can also find this. SUCH a great deal for $3:
This is an awesome bag, folks. It's long enough for full-size brushes and it's very deep as well. You can fit a ton in this bag, and check out the full-size blush/powder brush you get too. All for $3!
I also spotted lots of the EcoTools Bamboo Foot Brush & Files for $3 each:
So I rounded the corner in the beauty aisle to discover one of the Revlon Top Speed floor displays (the same ones you were able to find in drugstores a while back) and it was full of not only Fast Dry polishes but Scented polishes too, all for $2 a piece:
And if you look closely, you'll see the Crazy Shine Nail Buffers too, for just $2.50!
What an incredible deal, huh?
Next up, I spotted these Jordana lipstick sets for $5:
Five bucks for eight lipsticks!
I also spotted the limited edition Yardley soaps from last fall, which I love and reviewed here. These were $0.95 each:
And finally, some haircare bargains:
As predicted, lots of Sunsilk. I'm still sad that Sunsilk was discontinued in the US, but it's nice to be able to stock up on your favorites just $1.50 a bottle.
Those who love the older Sunsilk products (pre-makeover) will be happy to know the BIG bottles of Hydra TLC conditioner are just $1.50 each as well (I stocked up because I looove this conditioner and I know a lot of you do too!).
Talk about a blast from the past! Anybody remember Physique?? I couldn't believe they had these big bottles of shampoo and conditioner for $1.50 each.
Tons and tons of Infusium stuff (shampoos, conditioners, leave-ins and styling products) all for around $3 each.
I believe that Walgreens was clearancing out their line of Sally Hershberger haircare products a while ago, so I wasn't terribly surprised to find them at Big Lots. If you're a fan of this line, you know these products are pretty expensive so definitely check out your local Big Lots because they're selling shampoos, conditioners and styling products for $3 each.
That's it for this Big Lots report. I hope you found it helpful, and definitely get on over to your local Big Lots and see what you can find! If you've been to Big Lots recently, leave a comment below and let us know what you've spotted!
Thanks for the shout out! :)
ReplyDeleteWow never heard of Sula Paint polish but I'm loooooving the shade selections.
But Omg @ finding EcoTools!!! I didn't see any at mine. :(
I saw the ecotools bag, but how much does the blush brush retail by itself?
ReplyDeleteI also saw the sula polishes but I've never heard of them...guess I'll have to go back. :o)
I have seen the polishes and the Eco Tools at my local Big Lots. I was sooo tempted to pick them up.
ReplyDeletewhy was this post like makeup porn to me!! I was screaming and gasping for air....lol! I saw some Sula polishes at a Big Lots but didn't pick them up:( Imma try to get out there this week to see if they are still there!

ReplyDeleteYou have so many good stuff at your local Big Lots! The Big Lots around my place are always messy. I can never find anything good there :(
ReplyDeleteI totally remember Physique! I think I only ever saw it at big lots
ReplyDeleteOMG PHYSIQUE!! I used to love that stuff! I'll just have to pop into my Big Lots and see if they have any :O
ReplyDeleteWoah! I need to get to my local Big Lots and see what's going on over there!
ReplyDeleteI have the EcoTools Bag with the powder brush. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI actually just stopped into Big Lots the other day out of boredom and I saw the Sula polishes and ELF shadows too - but I found some of the same ELF studio shadows at Dollar Tree. Coffee Bean eyeshadow = love! (especially for $1!)
ReplyDeleteI always wanted to try Sula but it is too expensive and I could only find it at their retailer. You're so lucky that is so cheap!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, this is great. I will hit up my local Big Lots soon. I hope to find Eco Tools brushes!!! thanks to you and Rai for the info.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD I DIE!!! I miss sunsilk so much! the Hydra TLC cream was a dream for my big curls! i'm going to my local biglots tomorrow, hope to find as much sunsilk as you did girl!
ReplyDeleteI actually tried the Sula nail polishes but they were a bust for me. The reason why I state that is because if you wash your hands in hot water, they will peel off like melted plastic. But if you are looking for a safe nail polish without the big three and you don't wash your hands with hot water, this is the brand to get.
ReplyDeleteI need to go to Big Lots with my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI found just about everything that you did except the Revlon polishes. I did grab 2 bottles of Perplex that I never saw in any other store! :)
ReplyDeleteMy friend and I used to looooove Physique, but this formula is so watery and doesn't smell the same
:(
It was sooo disappointing!
wow...what.. they discontinued sunsilk in us?!... no wonder i never saw it again after i used it once. loved it! dang! lol.
ReplyDeleteI just came across this post last night and headed to Big Lots today to see what I was able to find. I found the Sula nail polish but only in Merlot, the Ecotools makeup bag (the blush brush is so soft, love it!) and the Sunsilk Hydra TLC styling creme. Thanks for the heads-up.
ReplyDeleteI also spotted a variety of ELF Summer Ready box sets for $4.50. Lots of LA Colors eyeshadows. The one that caught my eyes was the Baked Eyeshadow Quad for $2. The colors are so beautiful and can be applied Wet or Dry. I never had LA Colors products that's why I didn't get it but I think I will go back for it. Just to try it out.
How do I attach a photo to my comments?
Love your blogs so much!!
Ooooohhh I heart that Ecotools bag!
ReplyDeleteThen run to my local Big Lots right? Wrong! I'm in Belgium, Europe where we don't even have the regular Ecotools range, let alone the limited editions. And this one is especially hard to find since it's an older edition. I prefer this to the newer edition of this range which is 'too white' to my liking.
And now you USA ladies can get this for 3 US$... boohoo, not fair! LOL
Thanks anyway for this great post!
*back to drooling over the computer* ;o)
