This week's question is plain and simple, but it's one that many of you can probably answer pretty easily. I would really like to know what you think, so please take a moment to respond in the comments--thanks in advance!
Bath & Body Works or The Body Shop?
Let's see who comes out on top, shall we? If you don't have a preference between the two, feel free to share that as well. It's perfectly acceptable to like (or dislike) each retailer equally, of course!
Bath and Body Works. Hands down.
ReplyDeleteOh, and BTW, I accidentally deleted my old blog (loooong story) so I had to make a new one. My new address is beachbumbeauty13.blogspot.com Just FYI!
I like bath and body works for its price/ sales and the different types of products they have. However, I loveeeeee love loveeee The Body Shops body butters.
ReplyDeleteI don't care much for either one as I am about fragrance more than bath & body related products. TBS used to have some really nice scents but I've been underwhelmed the last few years.
ReplyDelete3 words:
ReplyDeleteSemi. Annual. Sale.
Bath & Body, baby! :-)
I agree with everyone so far - bath and body works does have some amazing sales and between the two, it would win hands down.
ReplyDeletehowever, i like the body shop for their toners and cleansers. and i do like how they have a make-up line that b&bw doesnt.
i seem to be on the other side! i love the body shop! it has great skin care stuff and the body butters are a dream!!the ones i bought from bbw didnt soak into my skin. and TBS's makeup is good too. i love their all in one face base.
ReplyDeleteNeither. Strong scents make my head hurt so I can't stay in either store for long. :p
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of either. They're both way overpriced. I love buying my bath and body products from indie stores now, like Haus of Gloi and One Hand Washes the Other. Way cheaper and very unique scents!
ReplyDeleteBath and Body works for scents and products but it's not available in my country so I guess I'm pretty much stuck with TBS.
ReplyDeleteThe Body Shop. I don't shop there often because of the prices, but I absolutely love their satsuma body butter.
ReplyDeleteI like both :>
ReplyDeleteI'm in the Bath & Body Works camp. I really don't know why (maybe the cost?) but I never seemed to warm up to The Body Shop. Also, I've been a B&BW customer for over 20 years.
ReplyDeleteI've never shopped at either of them! I have only recently started to buy soaps and lotions that are scented and I prefer buying them from places on Etsy or at flea markets from DIYers.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of either, but it seems like I've been using BBW's Cotton Blossom scent since the dawn of time. (aka teen years) LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's always in my house, even if I end up using it only 5 times a year.
I would have to go with The Body Shop because they have some nice blush, bronzers and highlighters.
ReplyDeleteI avoid BBW because I really don't really like scented lotions/mists and perfumes. I get a bit nauseated by strong fragrances. Even in the mall when I have to go past a BBW I cross over to the other side to avoid the smells coming out of the store.
Neither. I prefer Lush or etailers :)
ReplyDeleteWell considering we don't have a Body Shop here, I really haven't tried a lot of their products, but what I have tried I liked. I love
ReplyDeleteBath & Body Works, their scents are always amazing, with plenty of choices. Their prices are decent too, but then you throw in the Semi Annual Sale, well let's just say that got a good chunk of my paycheck.
Overall, Bath & Body Works is my fave. Now if I can just keep myself out of the store!
I definitely prefer The Body Shop, but the only time I shop there is during sales or special promotions. Although, the last time I was there, I bought their new deodorant and was finally convinced into getting that silly Love My Body card or whatever. Why did I give in? I have no idea!
ReplyDeleteI do shop at Bath & Body Works. They have great deals! But I had a friend that worked there that told me they actually tell you to lie to the customers if they ask for recommendations. Like if you were to ask a sales associate if they use a particular product, you're supposed to say yes. That totally turned me off.
Bath and Body, but mostly because I don't have easy access to TBS... The only ones around here are downtown, which is a 40 minute drive.
ReplyDeleteIn general, though, I like BBW's lotions better, but TBS has a full collection of cosmetics. The fall release looks amazing.
I don't like Bath and Body Works. I like a few of their scents (most of which are online-only now) but I don't really LOVE anything they sell. Plus, the sales ladies can be really pushy at my local BBW.
ReplyDeleteThere isn't a Body Shop in my town, but I really wish there was! I'm quite tempted by what I've seen on their website.
I love the scents of The Body Shop, but I love the prices of Bath & Body Works. Because of the prices, I typically buy bath and body stuff at B&BW and makeup and perfume oils and things like that at The Body Shop.
ReplyDeleteI guess I don't really have a preference, haha.
The body shop's products are a bit more quality, in my opinion, but bath and body works has better sales and prices.
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh....
ReplyDeleteThe closest TBS to me is a little over 2 hours away, so I've never really had the chance to try them (I prefer to sample products first instead of blindly ordering via website). Bath and Body works I have lots of experience with, and their Semi-Annual Sale tends to bankrupt me ;), but I find their offerings uneven; some are fantastic, some are awful (a lot of their core scents turn strange on me), some are meh, and their price increases that seem to happen every 6 months are starting to annoy me a tiny bit. In other words, I'm leaning towards B&BW, but without having more experience with TBS, I cannot make an honest, informed choice.
