Some very sad news for all you Tropez lovers out there (myself included). I have it on good authority that Tropez Cosmetics will be discontinued by end of year. Waaaah!!
So when I saw that this line was on 75% off clearance at my local Rite Aid, I didn't hesitate for a minute to snatch up the last bottle of Blossom nail color. And boy am I glad I did.
If you have easy access to Tropez products in your area, and you love them as much as I do, RUN don't walk and get over there ASAP to purchase all of your faves while you still can. Time is ticking...
This is awful news! There isn't any tropez in my area and now I'll probably never find them! At least I didn't get attached to anything.

ReplyDeleteThat's odd, maybe it's just being phased out of Rite Aid? The Rite Aids in my area don't carry Tropez but the one Kmart I live somewhat near does carry the line. Even more interesting was that 2 days ago, I was at Kmart and the entire line didn't have any sale/clearance stickers on them.

Nikita: Nope. I'm afraid that's not the case. This line is definitely being discontinued. But like I mentioned in my post, it's going to be phased out by end of year, so I'm not surprised that it's not on clearance at your Kmart yet. I'd keep checking back because eventually you'll probably see the clearance stickers. At least now you'll have first dibs on all your favorites though.

GreenMan: I totally agree. :( I LOVE those palettes too! My Rite Aid was already wiped out of them by the time I got there, so I didn't even get a chance to stock up. :(

Tropez is not one of my favorites, but all of the products and lines being discontinued is making me sad. It feels like every week it is a new one.

ReplyDeleteA friend and I went to kmart today and it turns out they have Tropez! It's not on clearance, but nice and cheap anyway. So I got that Blossom nail polish you recommended, and a green eyeshadow duo. Yay!
ReplyDeleteThere was an article in either Allure, Glamour blogs or Yahoo Style web site either Thursday or Friday that said that Tropez is pulling out of the US retail market. It will still be available on-line, but they aren't making any money off of the US stix n brix market, so they are going to concentrate their stuff in Europe, where apparently everyone is madly in love with them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us know about this. What a shame. I only have one Rite Aid that carries Tropez, all the others don't. So, of course I had to go there today....well, actually 3 separate times. The disp;ay was not tagged at all, so the first time I only got a few things, thinking I would pay full price. Then when the bill came to $2.06 I brought my bag out to the car, went back in and got some more. Then, greedy selfish me, actually went back a third time and wiped it all out except for a few things that were damaged. All in all, I paid about $20 for shadows, lip and eye liners,blush, and concealer, and polish that should last me quite a while. I do admit now... I am a makeup addict. I love to collect! And I do appreciate you letting us know about stuff like this.. sure helps me explain to hubby why I need another shadow, or lippie or such LOL
