  1. I just purchased a few of the new stuff. the quad with the 6 eyeshadow colors and the new lippies: dark purple one and the red. I dnt like the feel of these l/s. They are too dry and not as moisturizing as the those $0.99 ones.

  2. rayqueenbee: I'm so sorry that the consistency of the new lipsticks isn't working for you. I actually like them, but I prefer a slightly drier lipstick when I want it to last. The super sheer smooth lipsticks tend to fade so fast on my lips--these new ones last forever and they really don't dry out my lips at all. How you do you like the eyeshadows?? :)

  3. Keeping in mind that there have been studies showing that people changing the radio have more accidents than those talking on cellphones, I'd say that anything that prevents you from driving safely is something you shouldn't do while driving.

  5. yogagrrl: I think you meant to leave this comment on my previous post, but I'll respond here in case you check back! I agree that changing the radio can be dangerous as well (heck, anything can be dangerous while driving) but I'd be interested in seeing that study you mentioned. If this is true, then I'm inclined to think the results are showing an aggregate of all accidents that have ever occurred due to changing the radio, compared to all accidents that have ever occurred while talking/texting on phones. In which case, OF COURSE the radio would show more accidents simply because radios in cars have been around since practically the advent of cars, while cell phone use has only really become widespread in say, the last 15 years. Does that make sense?

And you would think that, after all these years of having radios in cars, if it was a major cause of accidents, there would have been coalitions to have radios removed from all cars years ago. It's interesting that there are already laws in effect banning cell phone use in cars, but I've yet to see a real push to ban radios in cars. I just can't see how, statistically, the danger and risk is HIGHER for changing the radio than talking and especially texting, which not only draws your *attention* away from the road but also both of your hands.

All I know is, I've been driving for MUCH longer than cell phones have been widespread, and before the popularity of cell phones, I do not recall people driving 30 miles an hour on the FREEWAY because they're distracted while talking on their cell phones. Sadly, this is a very common occurrence now (I see it maybe once or twice a month, just here on my local freeways). Every time I see a driver going dangerously slow on the freeway (and not noticing cars whizzing past them trying to avoid crashing into them), they are undoubtedly on their cell phone. So back to your point--changing the radio can be a distraction for sure, but I think that nowadays, it's far more common to see people driving dangerously slow, weaving in and out of lanes, rear-ending people, etc. etc. due to cell phone use than fumbling with the radio. I hope I explained that clearly enough, but I do agree that any distractions can be dangerous.
