The Wednesday Question
Here's a new feature for NouveauCheap: The Wednesday Question!
In an effort to learn more about you, my dear readers, I'm going to ask a new question every Wednesday and I welcome everyone to leave an answer in the comments. Simple!
Today's question is:
What's your favorite drugstore lipgloss (brand and color) and why?
Can't wait to read your responses--especially since I'm in dire need of a good drugstore lipgloss :)

OMG! You couldn't ask a more difficult question. I have several in different categories. But I guess the one that really took me by surpise was the L'Oreal Infalliable 6 hour gloss. It didn't last 6 hours, but it lasted several hours and that's unheard of for me!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... tough one. For moisture I like Vaseline Rose (not sure if you have that in the states though) Good question!
ReplyDeleteThis is strangely not a hard topic for me b/c my lips get dry and irritated quickly w/ some brands. My fav. lip gloss would be Revlon's Lustrous Lip Gloss. I have Pink Whisper and Life's a Peach. Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteHi Amber! I think this is the only L'Oreal lip product I *haven't* tried, which is odd because I'm a long-wear lippie junkie. Note to self: Must pick some up during the next BOGO :)
ReplyDeleteBeautyjunkielondon, you are always tempting me with these mysterious, wonderful-sounding products that aren't available in the US! :) Vaseline Rose? This sounds so intriguing! Is it balm, in a tube, pot or wand? Do tell! :)
ReplyDeleteHey ndoodles! You know, I always forget about Revlon Lustrous! Thank you for the reminder--the last time I used one I seem to recall that I loved how it was non-sticky. Those colors you named sound so pretty. I must investigate :)
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering what you guys' take on the HIP Color Presso Glosses. I don't think they are sold in Canada, but I heard mixed opinions about them. Another fun lipstick I can't wait to try is Avon SpectraColor (7 in 1) - not really a drugstore brand, but still fun. Sorry this is not even an answer for you lol
ReplyDeleteRevlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss, love all the shades, the color payoff is nice and also love the simple but elegant packaging.
ReplyDeleteHey Halifax! You know, I keep looking at those Color Presso glosses and I'm totally mesmerized by the packaging but I can never bring myself to buy one. I just can't justify $13 or $14 for a drugstore gloss. I'll have to look out for a 40% off sale (common here in the US) and then I might give one a shot. I agree w/ you, the Avon lippie looks really interesting and I can't wait to try one :)
ReplyDeleteHey Beda! OK, that's two votes for Super Lustrous. I must revisit these glosses! And you're right--I have always loved that square packaging :)
ReplyDeleteKaren (at Makeup and Beauty blog) just asked about everyone's fav drugstore products. Thought you can find it interesting to read

Halifax, thanks so much for the link! The comments on that post are loaded with tons of interesting products! :)
ReplyDeletehmmmmm. Does NYX count? If so, Nyx Mood Lip Gloss. If not..... e.l.f. Hypershine Gloss in Fairy.
