The F21 Premium Cosmetics Collection contains face, lip, cheek and eye cosmetics, as well as makeup brushes. The price-points are higher than other F21 cosmetics--they seem in-line with Physicians Formula, in terms of a drugstore equivalent. The most expensive product is the Matte Foundation ($14.80). Lipsticks are $8.80.

A few thoughts...
Here's the blurb that's featured in the product descriptions:
- Made by designer cosmetic brands, Forever 21 Premium Cosmetics, feature quality, high-end ingredients
- Not tested on animals
- Imported
The packaging looks like they put Bobbi Brown, MAC, NYX, Sonia Kashuk and e.l.f. Studio in a blender. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it does remind me of all of those brands!
Have you spotted the new Forever 21 Premium Cosmetics Collection in-store yet? Thoughts? Again, you can view the entire collection here.
Thanks again, Amber, for the tip and heads-up about this one!
Packaging looks a lot like topshop makeup!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh yes, that too!! lol
DeleteBy imported do they mean "Made in China"? Fell into that Forever 21 makeup trap before.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea about the country of origin... I haven't seen these in person yet so I haven't seen the labels. Sorry!
DeleteProbably not made in China if they aren't tested on animals. China requires animal testing on all color cosmetics.
DeleteChina only requires the cosmetics being sold in China to be tested, not products being manufactured there and sold elsewhere. As long as long as it's not for sale anywhere in China.
DeleteIt was made in Korea
DeleteThey are imported from Korea.:)
DeleteWow, the Balm looks pretty cool! I wonder if that actually works...
ReplyDeleteI'm curious too!
DeleteYeeeaahh, I was curious if that would compare to Dr. Feelgood by Benefit...always wanted to try that. Btw- always think of the song and album by Mötley Crüe when I see that tin. Lol
DeleteI wonder if the cheek stain is similar to the ones from benefit.
ReplyDeleteHow funny! It actually reminded me a lot of the Vincent Longo Original Lip & Cheek Gel Stains! I guess we'll have to wait and see how them compare to both. :)
DeleteThe smoothing face balm looks very interesting!
ReplyDeleteAll I see is Bobbi Brown. Even the product layout in the picture is like what BB does.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna guess these will be made in korea
ReplyDeleteVery intriguing. I wonder who makes it! I'd heard that ELF makes the regular F21 makeup - though I don't know if that's true. Also, it looks like they've repackaged their nail polish, I like the new bottles.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I know Blue Cross Beauty has the contract for their nail polishes, but they manufacture in the states. So it has to be another company that makes these!
ReplyDeleteA couple of these products look really intriguing.
ReplyDeleteWow, definitely thought of Topshop makeup as soon as I saw these. Here's to hoping they are decent products!
ReplyDeleteI knew they were up to something by the way all the old products were disappearing from the website.
ReplyDeleteThey have a bunch of new products in the "regular" section as well.
ReplyDeleteSeems like they're trying to compete with Top Shop's cosmetics, from the look of the packaging and the prices.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I don't know how I feel about spending this much on makeup at F21! I did buy a new nail polish in packaging that matches this a few days ago, but it was only a few bucks... Wearing it right now, it's a gorgeous pinky nude called Maple.
ReplyDeleteI'm very skeptical.... I'll be interested in reading reviews
ReplyDeleteI really like some Forever 21 cosmetics but they're all limited edition & fade away from stores quickly. Very interested in a more permanent line!
ReplyDeletecan't wait for reviews, Looks a weee bit pricey for my taste!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to drop by and leave a comment, as I purchased two items from the line this evening; the lip and cheek stain and the gel eyeliner! All items are Made in Korea and from the products I tested, they all seem very high quality. They are also very similar in quality to the Korean brand Belleme! They even have similar packaging/font. Hope this helps anyone who's interested in the country of origin!
ReplyDeleteI picked up the lip gloss in Daquiri (shimmery pink) and the cream shadow in Shitake (shimmery taupe). They both seem like pretty good quality! For those of you who are concerned, every product I looked at was made in Korea.
ReplyDeleteMy XXI store at the Americana on Brand has this whole collection and let me just say I'm impressed!!! As a reader said before, these products are made in Korea which really raised the bar for me. The face balm... is the best!!! It really compares to the stila's anti shine balm!!!
ReplyDeleteI have off President's Day and I have already planned a shopping trip to Forever 21 before I knew about these. I'm curious to see if they are a better product than the regular love and beauty products.
ReplyDeleteThey have testers out, so you can try them before you buy. They have individual eyelashes for $2.80 and include three lengths (bigger than ELF pack, similar to Ardell packs), so at least that's a great deal.
ReplyDeleteI just posted swatches of a few of the items I recently bought this weekend. I'm so impressed and will be going back for more. I'm glad it isn't cheapy makeup like they're known for! :)
