The new Expert Last Lipsticks have been available in the UK for a while now, and they've been getting some very nice reviews (check out this review from an Irish beauty blogger--the pigmentation on these looks pretty amazing). You can't beat $1.99 for new lippies, right?
Have you spotted these new NYC lip colors in your area yet? Anything here catching your eye?
Thanks so very much, Yamile, for the great sighting and pics!
I'm looking for a nice cheap melon lipstick; I got a Covergirl one in Fairytale with the clarance this week but it's a bit too pink. Snow Cone and the pinky-peach lipstick from NYC might be good... crossing my fingers!
ReplyDeleteBUY ALL THE CHUBBY LIP PENCILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly how I feel. Loving the Jordana ones currently.
DeleteI have not hit any of the clearance sales that have been going on..well I got a couple stocking stuffers for my daughter but other than that I am avoiding them because I really want to spend my $$ on the new stuff that is coming out and NYC is at the top of my list! I can't wait!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued! NYC has some very nice lip products.
ReplyDeleteThe new chubby lip pencils and lipsticks look interesting. I was a fan of their Ultra Last lipsticks with the square caps. Those had a nice texture and were unscented/unflavored. I hope the new Expert Last lipsticks are fragrance-free too.
ReplyDeleteThese look so fun! I cannot wait to try both of them... I'm such a lip product junkie (...among other products as well...) ;)
ReplyDeleteOoo, do I see a pale beige? If it's a cream I'll officially be tracking it down. Experimenting with a shade range I haven't worn in 20 years requires as low a price as possible, yes?
ReplyDeleteHAH! I was just thinking the same. I always say, I don't do brights, lights, or darks. Just medium "normal" shades. But at this price, I may need to experiment and see if there are some of these shades I could pull off!
DeleteThey put your name on them...you should get one of each! ;P
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a nice array of shades.
I need all of these in my life
ReplyDeleteDue to this posting I checked these out at Kmart yesterday. I bought 2 of the chubby lip pencils, 1 eyeliner, 1 duo eyeliner and 1 lipstick. I am a bit confused though regarding the term "new" on the lipstick color called Blue Rose as I have this shade by them already. Anyone know the deal regarding this? Is it a new formula??
ReplyDeleteI spotted these at Rite Aid and picked Roosevelt Island Red (one of the twistables). The shades in the line remind me a lot of the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains, and the RIR seems close (but not a dupe) to Revlon's Adore. The one I picked is pretty pigmented and more glossy. A nice find for $3.
ReplyDeleteJust spotted these at my CVS tonight. I picked up Roosevelt Island Red and Gramercy Park Plum. They are both gorgeous! The formula is so creamy and moisturizing. I love the shine too. I will def be going back for more!
ReplyDeleteI picked up two of the old formula on clearance a week ago.. and bought one of the new ones last night. I was able to compare the two formulas today and the new Expert Last are head and shoulders above the old Ultra Last. The old ones smell like playdoh, taste like dirt (it lingers too, was very nasty the entire time I had it on).. the new ones have a very subtle sweet scent and no flavor at all. They are also much smoother, nice and light on the lips with no stickiness, and do not have the "long wear lip product cling to every nook and cranny on your lips" effect. They are not drying either. They have next to no transfer, and last well.. but not through a meal.. and when it did wear off it went evenly. I may go back and buy more.. and I'm not a traditional lipstick person, I pretty much stick to my Maybelline 24hr exclusively, but I really like these. I bought one of the pencils as well but have not had a chance to try it.
