Back for Holiday 2013: The Wet n Wild Coloricon 6-pan Eyeshadow Palettes

Guess what's back for Holiday 2013? None other than everyone's favorite 6-pan eyeshadows from Wet n Wild!

For those new to Wet n Wild, the 6-pan eyeshadow palettes first came out in the beginning of 2010 (I reviewed two of them back when they were brand new!) and they were discontinued at the beginning of 2012. I think we all shed a collective tear when that happened (the formula of both the shimmers and mattes in these palettes was beautiful). The 6-pans made a reappearance last year (I think they were popping up at Dollar General and a few other places, if I remember correctly) but they're back AGAIN, and this time they're in a holiday gift set at Rite Aid, which also includes a mascara and an eyeliner.

As you can see, the 6-pan in this set is Greed, and Greed was the only one that @beautywithin832 spotted at her Rite Aid. But blogger/vlogger Crystalis007 recently spotted the Lust palette at her Rite Aid (and only the Lust palette), so I'm thinking that there's more to come, and hopefully all Rite Aid stores will eventually carry all of the original 6-pans (Greed, Vanity, Lust and Pride) for this holiday season. Fingers crossed! Oh, and thanks to reader @crisswuvsmakeup on Instagram for letting me know that Crystalis007 spotted the Lust palette at her Rite Aid--I appreciate the tip!

Now if I can just find the Vanity palette at my Rite Aid, all will be right with the world. Were you a fan of the 6-pans? Are you exciting to see them make another appearance?

    If Vanity shows up, I will get it. That is the only palette from any color icon shadow line I have liked, but unfortunately, one of the shadows just broke out of nowhere and kept breaking and ruined the others so I had to toss it, sigh.

      If that happens in the future, you can save the palette by just scraping out all of the crumbling eyeshadow so that there isn't anything left to "contaminate" the remaining shadows. I had to do that with one of my coloricon palettes. Fortunately the one that broke was a super dark shade I never used.

      As a follow up take the broken pieces and mash them into a small container into a powder then add a very small amount of rubbing alcohol and make a paste. Press it back into the pan and let it dry! Like brand new!

      Or you could have saved it by repanning it. Little bit of alcohol, a quarter, pretty easy and lots of YouTube tutorials on how to do it. I saved my Mac carbon shadow like that.

    Thanks to you, I stocked up on the Vanity Palette when you warned us (around Sept 2011?) that they would be disco'd by Feb 2012. My Kmart carried them until Spring, so I have plenty of backups of all of them,

    I luckily found the Vanity palette set at my local Rite Aid yesterday. There were very few in stock and only the Vanity palette. Had to get it.

    I don't have a Rite Aid either and the CVS locations here in FL don't carry Wet N Wild which is a bummer. Hoping that Walgreens and possibly the KMart near me does carry them. I wouldn't mind getting one of these since I missed out.

    At rite aid in northern VA, and they have a pile of these, but all in vanity!!! Gonna listen to y'all and try it out - sounds like it's worth it?? Funny though that everywhere just seems to have one color!!!

    While venturing to the US from Canada, in search of the LE nude matte Color Tattoos (no luck :( ), I spotted lots of Vanity 6-pan palette sets, and one Greed at my nearest-but-still-in-another-country RiteAid, in Calais, ME. They're out there!

    I was at a Rite Aid in Novato, CA last weekend and they had Lust (which was a bummer because I already have that) and also I Dream Of Greenie in the same style holiday set as the ones mentioned in this post, which is weird (and also a bummer) because it's one of the trios in the permanent line.

      I know, that is weird! I saw several of the holiday sets with the permanent eyeshadow palettes in them. Tons of them with "Cool as a Cucumber".

    OK! To all those who were vying for the lust and pride 6 pans!!!!! I found some tonight at a big lots in a 2 pack! & when I bought it the price was clearanced to 3.50 w/o tax :) Good luck! Now onward to find a vanity or greed pallete XD
