Here's your daily reminder of all of the deals that you can snag both in-store and online unless otherwise noted.
Personal Recommendation: I absolutely swear by the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream that's being offered as a Beauty Steal today (link below; it also comes with a GWP). You can read my full review here if you didn't see it back in 2015 and would like more info. This deal today is particularly nice if you've been wanting to try the scented version (Vanilla Citron) since you get the original plus the scented version for $10 (reg $20). I don't use this product on my face (although you can). I reserve it for dry patches on the rest of my body and it works wonders for me. Today's Beauty Steal is a great value at $10 for 4 oz. of product, considering that the 1 oz. packet that I usually buy retails for $6.50. You're getting $26 worth of product here for $10. And I can tell you that even the little 1 oz. packets last me quite a while since I reserve them for dry patches on my elbows, etc. and you only need a tiny bit per application. Anyway, I just wanted to put that out there in case you're looking for a good moisturizer or have been wanting to try this one.
PS: Some of you asked my opinion of the Tarte Maracuja Oil that's also a Beauty Steal today. I know that many of you love this product but since some of you asked, I want to tell you that it didn't quite work for me. I tried using it on my face and it broke me out pretty badly (I guess my skin just doesn't agree with passionfruit seed oil, otherwise known as marajuca oil). When I found that I couldn't use it on my face, I then used it on my cuticles and it was nice, but I found that it didn't really do anything different for my cuticles than other oils I use (apricot, jojoba, coconut, etc.). I also tried it on my hair, and it was nice, but nothing spectacular for me personally. So in other words, this product was "meh" for me, although I know A LOT of people swear by it! I wish it worked better for me, since there are always so many opportunities to get it a for a great price (like today).

G,
ReplyDeleteIs the 11-piece Sona bag coming soon, or sold out? Wasn't it available for a short time yesterday morning... which would indicate it's sold out (but Ulta forgot to remove the "Coming Soon" marking), or, do you think yesterday was a fluke and it's def coming for a wider launch?
Xx, MomInMascara
Hum, that is odd! I just tested it and it's allowing me to add to cart, but when I place $75 worth of merchandise in my cart is is not changing from $75 to free. I honestly don't have any idea what's going on with that, but I'll keep testing it every day to see if it eventually turns free with purchase. Sorry about that!
DeleteA loud second to the First Aid Beauty cream endorsement. I have been using it for about three weeks, and it has absolutely saved my hands, and just about healed a persistent itchy spot (that I have had for years and my derm says ia no big deal but it drives me nuts) on my hip. I had been using Eucerin and Aquaphor, which are way too heavy and sticky for the hands and dod nothing for the hip. I have used L'Occitane in the past for my hands, but it doesn't do much for me now, perhaps because I am almost 50. The FAB cream (whoch I purchased on the rec of a Sephora SA) has been a wonder.
ReplyDeleteWow, Kirsten, that is great to hear! I'm so glad that it works so well for you too! I had a similar experience with my elbows and also my boyfriend's elbows. Nothing--and I do mean nothing--would help his dry, cracked elbows. I tried every lotion and potion I own to bring him some relief but at best, the results were temporary. This cream is the only product that healed that area for my boyfriend and it has healed several dry patches on my own skin. I hate using the term "miracle product" but in this case, it really worked like that for us. Glad we're not alone! :)
DeleteI'm with you on the Tarte oil. I got it a couple years ago during a beauty event (so the price was great), but my combo skin hated it. I ended up using it on my legs and it was fine, but no noticeable difference from other oils.
ReplyDeleteAaah, well at least I'm not alone! Lol. I'm sorry it didn't work for you either, but at least neither of us had to spend a fortune to find out, right? ;)
DeleteHi! It's totally unrelated, but did you know the 'January target beauty box' is in stock!!??
ReplyDeleteHere's the link!

MY insta is @beauty_on_mars
Thanks so much, girlie! I did know about that (I posted about it in yesterday's deal round-up) but I so appreciate you taking the time to make sure I knew! xoxo
DeleteJust checked and somehow the Tarte Maracuja Oil is out of stock (as of 7:30 am pst) this is very upsetting, it was the only deal I was looking forward to
ReplyDeleteWow that was fast!! I'm so sorry about that--sometimes the more popular deals sell out quickly, but that was REALLY quickly. I stay up every night during these events so that I can publish these posts when the deals go live the night before, because I always want my readers to have the best chance. But I realize that depending on your time zone, you may not be able to stay awake to grab them the night before. So my only advice would be this: if there's a deal that you think is going to extra popular (like this Tarte oil), maybe set an alarm for yourself at around 10:15 Central to wake up and make your purchase? I know that is a hassle and may not be possible depending on your situation, but it's the only thing I can think of to help ensure that you'll get the deal before the morning when it may be sold out. Again, I'm so sorry you didn't get a chance to get this one!
DeleteSame thing happened the other day with the peel pads. I got online just after 8 am est and they were gone. Ulta told me to watch for a restock, but they never did.
DeleteDo you know what time they post the daily deal?
DeleteThe ultra repair cream is great for when blemishes leave your skin flaky
ReplyDeleteAaaah, I can see how this cream would be great for that! What an excellent tip. Thank you! I actually have one of those post-blemish dry patches as I write this and guess what I'm about to do? :D
DeleteUpdate on the 11-pc. Bag...
ReplyDeleteI just refreshed the page and now it says you can add it to your cart, but it no longer says it is "Free with any $75 Purchase" Now it says it is $75, BUMMER!! I was holding on hoping to make 2 purchases today hoping that I would be able to score both beauty bags, but I guess not. Hat off to those that ordered this early yesterday when it said free. I wonder if Ulta is going to honor those or not since it looks like they are changing their mind on offering this beauty bag for free. Very disappointing!
Thanks so much for the update, Allison! I just tried the same thing (see my first comment up above). I have no idea what's going on with that bag but hopefully it turns into a GWP at some point!
DeleteG, thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteSome how for the 11pcs bag (Sona G bag) you mentioned in the GWP section as "comming soon". It's live now, but NOT for free anymore....
I just tried too (see my comment up top) and had the same thing happen to me. Hopefully this turns into an actual GWP at some point! :(
DeleteAbout the 11 pc beauty bag... Her YouTube video explains to enter code: Sonagasparian to make it free.
ReplyDeleteTHIS WORKS!!
DeleteYES!! This worked! You just have to make sure to add more than $75 worth of items to your cart. Thank you so much Kay Park!
DeleteThank you!!!!
DeleteThank you. I just got The bag free with the sonagasparian code. I got the other free bag, the philosophy gift with purchase and the first aid beauty gift with purchase. Some of the products are full size! Can't wait to get my goodies.
DeleteThat worked! Thank you!
DeleteOMG thank you so much, Kay!! Will update this post right way! And thanks to everyone above for letting me know it worked for you! xo
DeleteHas anyone tried to use this code "sonagasparian" on multiple orders successfully? I was planning on making 2 purchases and it won't go through for the 2nd order.
DeleteI also tried using the code a second time for an order I was going to ship to my daughter, but I kept receiving an error message that items in my order didn't qualify. I assume that's why they used a code with this bag to ensure it was a limit of one per customer. I'll just have to share my sona bag with my daughter instead of sending one of her own. :-)
DeleteUpdate from Ulta Customer Service RE: 11-pc. Beauty Bag:
ReplyDeleteI just called and spoke with a rep and they confirmed with a manager, that corporate told them that they are no longer running this beauty bag promotion as being free with $75 purchase, but you can purchase it for $75.
I explained to them that is was very misleading how Ulta promoted this item as being free with $75 purchase and it said "Coming Soon" even after it said it would be live 1/12 - 1/17 yesterday and that many people (including myself) that were holding off on making purchases will not be pleased that Ulta decided to not offer this promotion.
Allison, please see the comment above--there's a code! :)
