I've been holding off on ColourPop -- because they're too tempting (but for free shipping, it may be splurge time). Plus, I love their Poison lipstick.
There is a timer pop up at bottom of the site that equates to this being a 48-hr promo!
I subscribed to their newsletter, got the $5 code and ordered an eyeshadow for free!

Thx for sharing this. I just made my first ever order and got everything for less than 5 bucks a piece by using a coupon code along with the free shipping deal. Can't wait to try these much talked about goodies. BTW, there's a countdown clock on the site showing when the deal expires.
I'm a bit indecisive about ordering from colourpop. While they do have nice lipsticks the incident when they named shades Ooops, Mistake, Typo, Illumanti, and easy peasy. They have nice products and showcases a variety of models so I hope it was a silly mistake and not on purpose.
That REALLY bothered me as well. But I am hoping that it was a just a mistake made by someone within the company who didn't THINK and wasn't aware of the implications (though I don't know how it could get past rounds of approval by others, but I don't know their internal approval process for these things so maybe they don't have multiple people signing off before production).
But like you said, CP always strives to showcase their products on a variety of different skintones and they make an effort to offer shades in their product lines that work for WOC (unlike some other affordable brands out there). So like you, I am really hoping it was a silly mistake and that they'll move forward with more awareness and sensitivity in the future.
OMG!! I've been wanting to try their liquid lips FOREVER! thank you thank you thank you!! Haha its always funny whenever there is free shipping I always seemed to manage to put so many products in my cart I would have reached the free shipping threshold anyways lol. BTW if you sign up for their newsletter you get $5 plus there are those kits that have three lippies for $15 :)
As far as I know, they got rid of the THANKSBABE code because people used it too often for the $5 off. Now, you get a unique code when you sign up for the newsletter with a new e-mail but I think that's about it.

It says on the site discount codes have been disabled for the promo. They posted that between noon and 1pm yesterday, but everyone who ordered before that got to use coupon codes.
