The Lipstick League - week of 2.23.15

The Lipstick League Question of the Week:

What is the one part of your beauty routine that seems to get neglected most often?

G's answer: Right now, it would be taking care of my feet. That part of my routine always seems to get neglected during cold weather, since my feet are usually covered with socks. I just did a much-needed pedicure last night, including major exfoliation and application of foot cream, and I feel like a new woman!

Guest Post of the Week, as chosen by EauMG - One of my favorite perfume blogs, The Candy Perfume Boy, simply explains one of the most amazing technologies in the perfume world, headspace. It sounds so sci-fi and well, it sort of is. These are machines that captures smells. Yeah, really.

  1. Washing off my makeup at night. I KNOW I should be doing it but I just don't seem to make myself do it every night. I even made it a sort of resolution for the year but I'm not quite ready to congratulate myself!

    1. I used to be really bad about that when I was younger, but now I literally cannot go to sleep unless my face is clean. I just visualize all the makeup and dirt from the day getting pushed deeper into my skin while I sleep and that really helps motivate me. Also, try getting some fun new towelettes. The Epielle brand at Big Lots is only $0.99 and they're great. They come in green tea, citrus, aloe, etc and just keep them in the living room or by your bed so you'll see them and be more motivated to reach for them. Towelettes are never as good as washing your face, but it's way better than going to sleep with your makeup on. :) Good luck!!

  2. Consistantly moisturising my hands. I mean I do, but not nearly as much as I should be and they do get pretty heinous...to the point of splitting and bleeding with rough shards of skin on the sides of y pointer finger. I forget too many times to apply after each and every hand washing, so I think I'm going to leave a tube of cream at the sink so I'll be more on top of it.

    1. Maybe try keeping multiple tubes all over the place? That's what I do...I keep a tube in the living room, by my bed, in the car, in my purse, and on my desk. So literally, whenever I have down time, I see a tube and just use it. :)

  3. Drinking water! My skin needs it. But I'm a coffee fiend. Have you heard of coffee? It's the best!

  4. Right now especially in the winter I hate to shave my legs. I'm getting older and hair is not growing as fast nor very thick at all. So it's easy to let it go. It's like once a month. Always shave underarms. And lotion legs. But hardly shaveing during the colder months. When I do I use a cheap hair conditioner to shave with. It works great lots of benefits. Head start on moisturizing and less Knicks.
