The Lipstick League - week of 2.16.15

The Lipstick League Question of the Week:

What’s your favorite beauty pick-me-up? New fragrance? New lipstick? New nail color?

G's answer: Fragrance, for sure. Whether it's a new body mist, scented lotion, body wash, bar soap or new perfume, this type of purchase always picks me up when I'm feeling blue. (Especially when I find an expensive perfume for a great price at places like Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, Marshalls and TJMaxx!)

  1. Lipgloss. I have way too many already but when I feel crappy a new tube of lipgloss picks up my spirits. Luckily I only shop the budget brands.

  2. Lipstick. I just got the Revlon Coral Berry because its a dupe for MAC Vegas Volt (which I still want). I was at Rite-Aid and I was so sad when the shades I wanted were out of stock (Sugar Plum Fairy and Cherry bomb because they're dupes for Diva and Rebel)...I also ordered Stila Patina along with the Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar. Vegas Volt and Creme in Your Coffee are in my shopping cart for the MAC website right now. I need help. But I agree with Jewels224, lipstick and makeup in general has been cheering me up and giving me comfort throughout my issues with lupus (not driving, gaining weight from prednisone, etc.)

  3. Lipstick, gloss, tinted balm are all big pickmeups for me. Nail polish, too, if there's an interesting collection out. Or, just finding a really good sale or item on clearance.
